Suzanne teaches an empowering and meditative style of yoga (Viniyoga) based on meeting your needs and developing Practices that best serve you. She specializes in teaching students to meet themselves where they are and how to utilize yoga tools (movement/asana, breath/pranayama, meditation, self-study + ritual) to bring themselves to a greater place of balance and ease. She brings over 10 years of mindfulness meditation practice to her teachings and to her classes.
A variety of Yoga Empowered classes are taught in Seattle, WA. including for Chronic Conditions: Gentle, Strong, Breath + Meditation Lab and Annual Urban Silent Retreats. Suzanne offers Yoga Nidra Private sessions and workshops as able.

Yoga Empowered exists for you to discover how to use yoga tools to live more fully + mindfully, both on and off the mat!
Yoga Empowered classes are taught by Suzanne Stephens. Her classes utilize restorative breath and meditative movement as a means of empowering individuals to create a practice that best serves you — it’s Practitioner.
She empowers by teaching you how to meet yourself where you are and how to adapt your practice, to work more gentle or strong, to bring yourself to a greater place of balance and ease.
Yoga Empowered classes are appropriate for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. They are especially helpful for those living with chronic health conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme, Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, chronic stress and/or anxiety.

Suzanne S.
Business Owner
Suzanne is a 500 hour trained and certified yoga instructor. Her final 300 hours of training emphasized therapeutic yoga applications. She is registered with Yoga Alliance (500 RYT) and is proud to be referred by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater NW Chapter.
She has completed the Level 1 iRest® Yoga Nidra Training through the Integrative Restoration Institute, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Training and brings 10+ years of practice experience to her classes.
Suzanne continues to train, practice and enrich her teachings, as well as her personal yoga practice.
