Wayman Tracy, DDS

I was afraid to visit the dentist because it had been years since my last visit, but the staff at Dr. Wayman’s office worked hard to make me feel comfortable and at ease. The entire staff is kind and fun, and I’m impressed with the level of service and professionalism I’ve witnessed. Dr. Wayman’s is far from your average dentist’s office.

Tracy Wayman and his superb staff — Deb, Brenda, Karyn and Glenda — have taken excellent care of my family for the past decade. When you walk in, the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, warm, and efficient. You can feel that the team enjoys one another’s company. They move fast so that everyone’s appointments run on time, which I appreciate, but I never feel rushed.
When I transferred from another dentist a decade ago, Tracy immediately recommended quite a bit of work that the other dentist had not identified. All of it was structural and necessary: gum surgeries, repairing eroding enamel, and switching the type of toothbrushes and floss that I used so that I stopped wearing down my enamel and damaging my gums.
At age three, my son began seeing Tracy and his team. Now Ben is thirteen and towers over all of us. It is to the team’s credit that Ben enjoys going to the dentist — no fear, no trepidation — just visiting with a group of nice grown-​ups who express genuine interest in him. (Plus, there is a wonderful treasure chest full of toys, and after his check-​ups, Ben could pick out a toy to take home. Ben LOVED that, and spent a very long time choosing just the right toy each visit.)
Finally, Tracy is low-​key about his volunteer work, but he (and Deb) have done significant pro bono work over the years. I am happy to support a business with such high integrity.

Dr. Wayman is an «old school — but knows about new products too» personalized dentist that has a fabulous staff. I left my current dentists as my «old-​school» dentist who really helped me understand the real reasons for proper teeth cleaning and care retired. All the new dentist wanted to do was put in teeth implants to replace a perfectly good bridge that I had after an accident in 1975? It’s not always about state of the art, let’s do this… it is about cleaning and care and understanding the importance of your mouth. This team under Dr. Wayman gets it.

I have been going to Dr. Wayman for years. He and his staff are absolutely the best! He DID NOT ask me to write this or solicit a review in any way. I have a hard time picturing how anyone could take offense with his bedside manner, and some of the negative comments on this site lack credibility.

Out of all the places I’ve lived and all the dentists I’ve had over the years Tracy is far and away the absolute best. The preventive and corrective care I’ve received gives me confidence that my teeth are in great health. Previous dentists concerned themselves only with issues as they became a problem but Tracy is proactive and fixes small issues before they become a big and expensive problem. Initially this may lead to a higher initial cost than most would expect as he fixes things other dentists let go but its saved me more in the long run over the last three years. I have never dealt with an office that was so easy to deal with in regards to billing and scheduling payment options. And let me be crystal clear, Tracy has never done any work without discussing it with me first and taking the time to answer all my questions in detail. As someone who had a severe trauma to the mouth and damaged 17 teeth I am very selective of who my dentist and hygienists are. I recommend Tracy and his team to my family and friends without reservation and if you are looking for a long-​tern dental care provider that cares about you and treats you like family then you should definitely give his office a call.

My family has been fortunate to have Tracy and his great staff taking care of us since the 90’s. I was referred by other friends. We all live on Vashon Island, so, travel quite a way to see him. I can think of at least eight other islanders who have also seen him for more than a decade…
Personally, I have the highest respect for the care Tracy provides.
I am a two time head and neck cancer survivor that has affected my teeth and oral cavity. For instance, I can only open my mouth about ⁵⁄₈ of an inch. Imagine.
Tracy is a dental engineer! Using his vast knowledge, consultants and determined efforts to provide me with great dentistry, even though I am such a challenging patient.
He is associated with other professionals of the highest standing, teaches at local dental programs and does volunteer projects in third world settings.
He has high energy, and a high commitment to providing the best care possible.
His clients are treated as family. Genuinely.
E.g., they always find a way to deal with the money that works for the patient.
Tracy ALWAYS stands behind his work and has never charged for repair or redoing a piece of work that was not up to snuff.
You would be very pleased and lucky to be taken care of by Tracy and his team.

Wow just wow! I can’t believe the negative comments below! Who are these people or «person»? It seems a bit fishy that the comments are somewhat the same and one of these characters appears to have «issues» with all of her doctors. Nice way to get free healthcare, by potentially ruining caring doctors and dentists reputations.
I have been going to Dr Wayman for 20+ years. My husband has as well. Dr Wayman helped my husband move beyond severe dental phobias due to horrible experiences with previous dentists. We enjoy going to the dentist! The staff, which by the way, have been there for YEARS, (what turnover?) are so welcoming and fun, you feel like part of their family. Dr Wayman is recognized in the dental community as a top notch, upper tier dentist. His work is superb! He is the most un-​greedy dentist I’ve ever been to. He will «advise» you to do this or that, but never insists and ultimately will help you to figure out a plan.
So hats off to Dr Wayman and his staff! And thank you for caring for the health of our teeth!

I’m not sure about the comments below. But I’ve been going to Wayman since I was at least three years old. My whole immediate family has been getting our teeth cleaned and worked on by his office for the last 25 years! My teeth are my best asset and living in Southern California I even make it up here for cleanings and general wear and tear of your teeth over the years. He is the only one I trust and the couple times I went somewhere else they messed up my teeth! I know allot of people don’t like going to to the dentist and I’m sorry if you didn’t like all the «things» he had to do to your teeth. But it you brushed and flossed twice a day like your supposed to, maybe you wouldn’t have to get all these «unnecessary» things done. I don’t have dental as well and yes it’s expensive but so is not having medical. (Try $ 800 for antibiotics) By the way, that little machine they use, that beeps… checks to see if you have cavities that are NOT on the surface of your tooth and are not able to be seen by the naked eye, thus missing if you did a glance over.
Tracy, Deborah and the whole staff are incredible. I wouldn’t have to make an appointment 6 months in advanced if people didnt love going there! It just the pits that the 6 people are the ones who wrote a bad review and not the HUNDREDS of people that LOVE going here. He’s been there for a couple decades! I don’t think someone that’s bad would be there that long. I love him and the fact that I feel relaxed and like family when I walk through the door. If you can’t pay a bill or only want to spend a certain amount he’s always been able to make me comfortable and helps me figure something out for the best. He’s energetic, fun, so good with children. He’s been doing this for years and it shows he really loves his job. I’m a patient for 25 years and will be bringing my children in here like my mom brought me all those years ago.

Tracy Wayman’s office is both professional and fun! He stands besides his work unconditionally and even suggests getting second opinions if you are unsure. His office is thorough from the front office, to the cleanings, to his work. He checks things over and makes sure that you feel good about the work being done. He does this all with a smile and makes you feel immediately at home and taken care of and not like you are going to the dentist!

I created a Unilocal profile so I could rate Dr. Wayman’s office. They are super low key, engaged, and a positive part of our community. Dr. Wayman is very skilled, and he and his team do a great job of helping patients prioritize care to minimize cost and stay healthy.
The best part is that I never get the «upsell» feeling I’ve come to expect from dentists.

This dentist is brusque, hyper (on 10 cups of coffee?) and recommended what turned out to be un-​needed treatment (deep cleaning for 1200) The filling he did do failed in less then a few months resulting in a crown while on vacation. He does seem to have great technique so if you can put up with his personality and cost it might be okay.
The last thing you want is a lecture with metal implements on your chest and in your mouth with no way to respond other then futile hand signals and eventually tears. His assistant seemed to be brand new and friends have told me there is a lot of turnover and it didn’t help to hear disparaging remarks about her before she worked on my teeth.

Tracy is amazing, the best dentist I’ve ever had. And he’s a bike commuter!

He is an excellent dentist!!! Funny, gentle as he can be, great with people/​children and very low key. His office team is helpful, caring and full of warm welcomes. His assistant/​hygienists are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to educate you on keeping your teeth healthy. I highly recommend Tracy and all of his professional and great staff.

Dr. Wayman is the best and gentlest dentist I have every been to.
