I have absolutely NOTHING bad to say about Viscon Cellars!!! Service: local West Seattle urban winery, run by Ben and Susan. What is better than someone who lives and works in your own neighborhood? They are personable, inviting, and definitely remember the regulars. I must say, I have never been disappointed by the service at Viscon Cellars – they are always attentive and frequently have release events(with snacks!) for their new wines. And speaking of new wines!!! WINE: They just released the Pilot Light wine, which is a Syrah. It is hands down, the best wine I have had all year(and it’s December, people!). It is smooth, and delicious, and lucky for me(but maybe bad for you) it is released to Wine Club members now. :) I «accidentally» came home with quite a few bottles; now, the problem is am I going to share this wine? Who knows!!! So, the other wines, are all good. I love each one, whites, reds, and roses. Washington loves to make Cabernets, but for the most part, I get tired of them because they all taste the same. BUUUUUUUTTTT, the Decadent(a Cab!) at Viscon Cellars is my favorite Washington Cabernet. In short – go here: early and often. You will not be disappointed!!!

A great place in West Seattle to relax and have a glass of wine. The wine is great and it’s a fun space to bring in food or to meet friends. The owners are very friendly and great to chat with about their wines and about the WS neighborhood. Really like having a place within walking distance like Viscon!

As a new resident to West Seattle, I am thrilled that there is a place like this here! It makes me love West Seattle even more! My husband was out of town this week and I didn’t want to sit at home on a Friday so I went to do a wine tasting. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, was this a store, bar? I was thrilled when I learned it was a winery and this is their tasting room! The husband/wife duo bring in the grapes from eastern Washington and turn out some delicious wines! They have 4 that they produce and for $ 5 you can taste all of them! For another $ 8 you can get a glass of wine! You can also purchase bottles or join the wine club! I won’t spoil anymore for you– go check it out, great wines, great service, great atmosphere!

Good wine, great service; if you are looking for a great place to spend some time in West Seattle, Viscon Cellars is the place. My husband and I had heard of Viscon from a friend, and we went to check things out on a Saturday afternoon. Finding parking was pretty easy, and the space was super cute. Seating abounds at the bar and the table, although the place was far from empty. We were promptly greeted by a friendly bartender, who turned out to be an owner, and we soon had our first tasting in our hands. It was delicious! In addition to joining their wine club(due to the tasty wine and great service), we walked out with a bottle of their 2012 Perseverance, a lovely viognier, and their 2012 To Trust, a fabulous Cab Franc Rose. One of the things I really liked about the wines I tasted was that Viscon does many things very well. Many places have a great syrah or a great variety of whites; each wine at Viscon Cellars was unique and well done. Other cool things to know– they encourage you to bring in or order food, grab a bottle of wine, and relax. It would be a perfect place to bring in dinner with friends and share a few bottles of great vino. Also, you can rent out their space at a really reasonable price, and the place would be a super fun place for an event. If you haven’t been here, you need to go. You’ll be glad you did, especially when you take home a fantastic bottle of wine… or two!
