UYE @ The Living Room

Helped Unilocal invade The Living Room last week. They are super nice, they even gave us some apps!
The space is awesome, feels like someones basement or living room, I suppose. Little cozy couches and tables, upstairs was very intimate with a little fire place. Love the exposed wood.
They extended their happy hour till 9pm for us Unilocalers so we would drink cheap! I enjoyed a $ 3 Vodka Press and $ 2.50 Steam train porter. Yum!
They only have 4 beers on tap, but they have something for everyone.
If you want a low key cozy night out, this is your place.
The location is great too!

Let me just say, that the owners/​management/​staff are all super wonderful!
Not only did they exstend happy hour till 9 pm but they also served us Unilocalers free food off the new menu! Yummy cheese plates and olives were a great addition to my Gin&Tonic and wine!
Party had a great turnout and mix of Unilocalers! I think everyone enjoyed mingling and meeting new faces. Plus, this was an ideal localation to be in Capitol Hill.
I expect more to come from this great place and future events!

Let me be the second to say this was a fabulous event! The Living Room is such a cute bar, the staff are gracious, and HH Mack & Jacks are $ 2.50. What’s not to love? I met several new Unilocalers and debuted my new non-​blonde status. Totally glad I made it. Also glad I finally found the sneaky location.

The company was fabulous, as usual. Wish I wasn’t as loopy as I was and didn’t end up with a horrible headache… but I was still very happy I came out!
I was in a beer mood and learned that peroni was on tap, so I was perfectly happy.
I was very thankful that the owner extended the happy hour for our party! I didn’t have more than that one beer, but I’m sure other people took advantage of that. Oh and the staff ALSO provided us with some small bites that were nice. Olives, cheese, white bread w/​olive oil & balsamic. I loved it!
Ummm… and that leaves the space. I am very much a fan of the space. Cozy and warm and good. Even the bathroom was nice, with the exposed brick and red lighting that I love so much. (The only downside was that there was just one toilet for the whole bar.)
So anyway… had a great time! I’ll be back! It’ll be weird to be there with just a few people instead of basically taking over the venue by having a party of about… 25.
Quite possibly the most important part: Thank you Nick H & Heather H for being pretty darn awesome and organizing this little get-​together!
ps: I noticed nobody has reviewed the event yet (and this listing already existed — thanks to Katy??), so I went for it. :)
