My experience in the orthopedic clinic was amazing. The doctors and nurse and support made me right at home. We are so lucky to have a organization such as uw medicine.

The UW medical center is hands down the most unorganized hospital I have ever dealt with. I have only gone there twice once for travel medicine and once for genetic testing. Both times it was an absolute nightmare trying to 1.) get a hold of a person 2.) get clear and valid directions to the different locations. And 3.) make an appointment. My primary doctor faxed a referral to them 3 times yet every time I called them they had no idea who I was or what I needed to be scheduled for. So 6 phone calls later they are finally able to schedule me. But when I go in for my appointment the front desk lady tries to tell me I can’t be seen without a referral. What is that? Do they not have files and computers and other ways to keep track of patient information? Finally I get past all the B.S. with the scheduling and front desk people and to my surprise the doctors and nurses are great. The actual medical staff is top notch. However, it is such a pain trying to deal with everyone else that I will not go back there.
