Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventative care for young, healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease and care for your pet as it ages, and the support and long term care of geriactric pets.
History
Established in 2004.
Founded in 2004, we are conveniently located at the foot of Queen Anne, just a short distance from Downtown with ample parking. Our hospital has in house bloodwork and laboratory diagnostic, and a complete surgical suite. Our anesthetic protocol is state of the art, using Sevoflurane, the newest and safest inhalational gas. Our surgeries include blood pressure and SPO2 monitoring, along with capnography. Imaging diagnostics consist of digital radiography and ultrasound, which enables us to consult with specialist all over the United States, often within minutes.
As pet owners ourselves, our staff understands that your pet is a member of your family, and that their health is a priority.
Urban Vet is dedicated in its involvement within the community. We work closely with the Doney Clinic, a non-profit organization that provides veterinary services for homeless individuals that have pets. Their website is doneyclinic.org.
Meet the Business Owner
Andrea M.
Business Owner
«Dr. Clare» as clients and staff like to call her, graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College on the East Coast of Canada in 1990. (Yes Dr. Clare is a Canuck.) After graduating, she went to work in a predominantly equine clinic in Vancouver British Columbia, practicing medicine on all types of horses. There she had a special interest in embryo transfer, foalings, and infertility problems. She was also able to work at the Vancouver Zoo and a wildlife park in Langley BC, where some of her patients included polar bears, elephants, rhinos, giraffes and bison.
Her interests led her to a residency in Georgia, and eventually Dr. Morris made her way back to the Pacific Northwest, where she opened her small animal practice, Urban Vet in 2004.
Dr. Morris does a significant amount of work for the Doney Memorial Clinic, which is a non-profit organization that helps low income and homeless citizens obtain veterinary care in Seattle.
