Enjoyed the opening night production of «Guys and Dolls». Strong voices in the men, especially, and their dancing was a treat to watch. The orchestra overwhelmed in the singers during solos, which was a disappointment, as there was tremendous talent to be enjoyed.

Twelfth Night Productions is a fantastic example of community theatre, done well. The productions run a range, the acting is top-notch considering these aren’t professional equity actors, the productions run smoothly, the pricing is fair, and they are very involved with the community. I greatly appreciate the existence of this wonderful local troupe, and look forward to seeing more of their productions. You should, too(or better yet, volunteer or audition!).

Aside from Betsy’s misspelling of «Twelfth,» this group is awesome! ;) I have been to several of the productions they have put together, and all of them so far have been highly entertaining(Crazy For You, Amhal and the Night Visitor, Bullshot Crummond, and The Music Man). You can tell that everyone involved has a deep love for the performing arts, and they give it their all at each performance. My only criticism is the lack of tuning on a couple of instruments in the orchestra that I have noticed on multiple occasions. It’s not a huge deal because I know it’s all volunteer work and I am overjoyed that these people all get together to bring us these shows, it’s just from my musical experience in high school that I notice it.

Though it’s going to be hard, I’m going to try to write an objective review about this group. A couple of words come to mind as I think of this group: Community — They are a completely non-profit theater group. The actors, orchestra, and stagehands all are volunteer — yet there is such a love of the craft that they come back again and again for each show. Family — Not only are there numerous whole families that are part of every show, you quickly feel like a member of a huge family when you get involved in a show with these guys. Our mother, of course, being Mary Springer — the mastermind behind Twefth Night. Talent — wow, holy geez, goodness! What a talent power house! And half the company is either still in high school or just graduated! I love these kids! Most of them have grown up in this group and their creativity and acting ability that they put into their characters is top notch. As a newbie — I am in awe and humbled by it. You gotta check out these guys sometime!
