It actually tastes not that sweet which I love!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this business yet — hands down the most delicious cupcakes in town! My family has ordered from Top Shelf on numerous occasions… the most recent being last Christmas when we served her egg nog cupcakes for dessert. Eliza makes her own egg nog and wooowza what a difference — none of that overly sweet store bought crap. The cupcakes were smooth, creamy, and with the perfect amount of sweetness… oh and a ton of booze as well ! The frosting warmed my belly in the best way :) I have also ordered the limoncello cupcakes (probably my absolute favorite) in the past as well as the Irish car bombs. Oh and, the margarita ones are delish too! These cupcakes are always a hit at parties, everyone wants to know where I bough them… try them for yourself !! They are phenomenal

I ordered cupcakes for a bridal shower — 1doz: toasted almond, mimosa, and limoncello. All three flavors were fantastic! The decorations and presentation were adorable, the cupcakes themselves were flavorful and fun. Everyone enjoyed them! I have to say I can’t decide whether limoncello or almond was my favorite, it’s a tie. Eliza was extremely responsive when I was ordering and was helpful with flavor suggestions, she delivered right to my condo, and was a pleasure to work with! I will definitely be ordering from Top Shelf Cupcakes again! :-)

I ordered 1 dozen each of the Mojito and Toasted Almond cupcakes for my best friend’s bridal shower. They delivered the cupcakes all the way to Seatac, which I was super grateful for.
The cupcakes looked beautiful, tasted great (I particularly liked the Toasted Almond) and were not too sweet. Thank you!

Let’s face it, we’re living in a cupcake enthused society. I felt like I have had just about every traditional and not-​so traditional cupcake under the sun.
I chose to go with Custom Cuptails based off of the raving reviews on Unilocal.Thank you Unilocalers for making it an easy and delicious decision! Thank you Eliza for coming through for my birthday with a truly wonderful alternative to the average (and even not so average) cupcake!
My guests enjoyed 3 flavors of Cuptail: Piña Colada, Car Bomb, and White Russian.
The Piña Colada was my favorite; super moist and fresh with sublime flavor! Both the Car Bomb and White Russian were a close second. One of my friends ate 4 trying to determine her favorite and the jury is still out. She just wants MORE!!!
Eliza’s pricing is beyond fair, she uses quality ingredients, and the fact that she delivers, too makes Custom Cuptails an easy choice!!!

1. Excellent customer service and VERY prompt responses to email.
2. AMAZING cupcakes… so good! The peach compote filling in the Peach Bellini cupcake is addicting. I literally bit my finger diving into the cupcake.
3. Just the right balance between frosting and cupcake
4. I WILL be ordering again for my husband’s birthday. and again and again and again!!!

*My only gripe (and I wouldn’t even call it that) would be to have the option of ordering a variety dozen or maybe some sort of «sample pack»…BUT I totally understand the reason why it isn’t an option. I can’t even imagine the amount of work, love, and patience it takes to make a dozen of the same kind of cupcakes much less several to add up to a dozen*
Eliza knows what she is doing folks… seriously. I’ve been to several other cupcake shops in Snohomish and King counties and this is by far THE BEST cupcake I have ever tasted.

Eliza was amazing! I first tried her cupcakes at a bridal shower, and became so ridiculously infatuated with them we ordered them for our wedding. While I suspect the magnitude of the order might have initially been a little alarming, Eliza was a total champ and pulled out all the stops to make it work. We didn’t realize until later how difficult a huge order with multiple flavors must have been, and we are grateful and awed at her fantastic attitude, her ability, and her talent. The cupcakes themselves are works of art — exactly as sweet as they should be, never over-​frosted, not a bit dry, and exquisitely presented. The website is super easy to navigate, and Eliza is incredibly sweet about answering any and all questions promptly and thoroughly. We had a great experience working with this business, and would without a doubt recommend Eliza for any occasion except maybe an elementary school science fair. Unless you like tipsy, precocious overachievers. Which might be hilarious, who am I to judge?

Eliza works wonders! She duplicated my daughter’s wedding invite graphic on her a-​mazing cupcakes for the bridal shower. The Car Bombs and Mimosas were a huge hit with everyone!

I have had the pleasure of trying Top Shelf Cupcakes multiple times including using them for my birthday! Every time I get cupcakes I am never disappointed. Eliza is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend using TS for your next party or heck, just get a dozen for fun, they are that good! I have tried the Tequila Sunrise, White Russian and Cosmo flavors and each one was great in it’s own way. You can definitely taste the alcohol in the goodies but it only compliments the flavor and takes the cakes to the next level! What I love about her cupcakes is they are so moist and the frosting is not overly sweet but light and frothy. Everyone at my party loved the cupcakes and they became the topic of conversation about what flavor everyone would get for their birthdays! I will definitely be using Top Shelf again for my next shindig, especially since they are featuring a Unilocal deal right now!

Custom Cuptails just invented a new flavor for a party I threw this weekend: Frangelico with nutella in the center. They were so delicious that conversation pretty much stopped while everyone focused on dessert.
The kind folks at Custom Cuptails also provided non-​boozy cupcakes for the under-​21 set. Judging from the chocolate-​smeared grins of the group of four-​, seven– and two-​year olds (not to mention the fact that all that remained of the cupcakes were wrappers, just 2 minutes after the kids got them), the non-​alcoholic kind are pretty tasty, too.

Moist, fun, delicious! Mimosa definitely fabulous. Car Bombs were so popular at the party that they were gone before I got to the table. Do not pass go!

These are the best cupcakes ever! I ordered 2 dozen Mojito cupcakes for my wife’s birthday — one dozen for everyone else and the other dozen for me. The cupcakes are the right balance of frosting and cupcake not to mention they taste like a Mojito. I get so tired of cupcakes where the cake is underneath a mountain of frosting but these were spot on. The cake itself is very moist and dense and by far the best cake I’ve had in Seattle. Though I love the Mojito flavor I have tried the Irish Car Bomb and it is amazing. I recommend these any time you enjoy need some desserts for work, are having a party, or are in the mood for great cupcakes.

I was lucky enough to try the White Russian and Mimosa flavors at my birthday party and I was absolutely blown away! The flavors were spot on and I love the concept of a boozy, grown-​up cupcake. These little treats are every bit decadent and so much more fun to eat than you’re standard issue cupcake. The presentation was fantastic also and by the end of the night, every last one was gone. I will definitely be using

Placed a big order for a work event and everyone raved about the cupcakes. We had several different flavors, so the hard part was choosing which «cuptail» to start with. Yes, I must confess, I had more than one…

Even after having tried Cupcake Royale and Trophy, I never understood the current «cupcake craze»…until now. I just tried a banana daiquiri cuptail and it was freakin’ awesome. No fake banana flavoring here – just a creamy dollop of real banana pudding inside a perfectly moist, delicious cupcake topped with just the right amount of rum cream cheese frosting. Wow.

I love the cupcakes! I just tried the Banana daquiri and Irish car bomb cuptails and they are 100x better than cupcake royal and trophy! They tasted just like the drinks unfortunately I did not get a buzz but thats minor! They were moist and flavorful!!!
Also they do not have a physical location you have to contact them for catering

cocktail inspired cupcakes? um– yes please. I just tried the Mimosa cupcake and it was amazing. A fresh orange flavor with the champagne fizz somehow baked right into the cupcake. The cupcakes are such a nice change to traditional flavors, and are always moist and delicious.

Bring these cupcakes to your (laid back, alcohol friendly) office and watch your coworkers devour them. The cake is always moist and flavourful. The frosting isn’t overly sweet, and is definitely delicious. I’d fully recommend them.

Soooooo good! Words cannot describe … but I’ll try! One of my coworkers brought in mudslide cupcakes on a Monday. This cupcake did what no other cupcake has … it took me right back to college vacations on the beach in Mexico with a delicious drink in hand, all on a Monday afternoon (okay, who am I kidding … I couldn’t resist and ate it at 10am). It was a much better Monday after the cupcake. I’ll definitely be ordering these for the next bridal shower or birthday party… though I’ll need to have someone else be in charge of picking them up or they’ll disappear!

Who could have imagined that cupcakes could get any better??? Well they can when you add booze and flavor them after your favorite cocktail!!! I really can’t decide which is my favorite flavor, but it is probably a tie between margarita and piña colada. The cake is so moist and the frosting is devine (and keep in mind, I usually hate frosting — at least the sickening sweet kind). I ordered three dozen cuptails for a kids birthday party. Don’t worry we didn’t give them to the kids! They were all wonderful. A fun treat to serve at your next get-​together.
