History
Established in 2011.
Tim’s Tavern was many taverns before Tim took ownership. The bar started in 1937 as Jack’s Tavern, Mackey’s and others, then later becoming the 105th Street Tavern in 1956, and finally Rose’s 105 and Van’s 105. In 2012, it was expanded with cocktails, a stage and patio added. Tim’s Tavern follows the tradition of a friendly neighborhood pub in the day and a live music venue at night.
Meet the Business Owner
Tim A.
Business Owner
Looking for another career in addition to his 17 years in the teaching business, Tim started out learning the bar business as a inventory control specialist consulting with fellow bar owners in the area. After two years of helping others lower their pour costs and shrinkage, he came across Van’s 105 Tavern for sale and knowing that there was a lack of venues for musicians to play in the North end, he decided to take the plunge. He spent an entire year on the process remodeling the bar and expanding it, giving the neighborhood a larger and more comfortable place to eat, drink, watch music, and root for the Seahawks!
