Incredibly nice staff! Very impressed with everyone. Drinks are yummy and food was good. What more do you need?!

great place to relax and have a few drinks. they know how to make awesome cocktails, especially Irish coffee. my only gripe is that it’s pretty expensive. the staff is pretty friendly as well. definitely recommend going to.

The name says it all. They have a huge collection of whiskey’s from around the world not just Scotland. I managed to find a Welsh whiskey which I haven’t been able to get anywhere else. Despite the name they have a huge bottle and draft beer selection. It had it’s own menu. They also have some very tasty cocktails most with whiskey. I didn’t eat the food as i ate before I arrived but it looked good. I see the noise level as this place’s only downside.

This was a really nice bar. It wasn’t too busy when we went, although it was a little easier, so I’m not sure how it is later in the night. It was a nice place to start the night, to sit, and grab a drink. The server was pretty nice.

Drinks were definitely strong and the bartender with the beard knew how to put on a good show when mixing up your drinks. Opened a whiskey bottle so damn fast it was crazy. I got the bitter French and old fashioned and it was the smoothest old fashioned I’ve never had. Décor was cute and plenty of places to sit!

Came in for a few drinks with some friends the other day and found my new favorite whiskey(A Midwinter Nights Dram). Really loved how knowledgeable and friendly our bartender was.

But for the service, this place rocks! The Brussels sprouts were amazing(enough to order ANOTHER dish). The whisky burger was tasty and juicy and outstanding. The chips were obviously hand cut and double tasty! Scotch egg… speechless!!! That was mighty good!!! All in all, great food and a nice place to hang out on a Friday night!!! By the way, the old fashions are great!!!

I love me a good glass of whisky so when I saw there was such a well stocked, speciality bar down the road from my hotel I definitely had to experience it for myself! Owned by a Scottish couple who can regularly be found serving behind the bar, The Whisky Bar has a homey yet upmarket atmosphere with tables and booths throughout as well as bar seating. They boast over 400 types of whisky as well as 24 Craft beers on tap for all those Seattle hipsters. I was somewhat overwhelmed for choice but my server was more than happy to assist me in selecting several drinks from their crazy menu and I’m happy to say I loved them all! The food here is also to die for! If you order one thing, make it the Brussel Sprouts– it is legitimate sorcery, they taste incredible! I’d also highly recommend The Whisky Burger, most definitely one of the best burgers I’ve eaten to date and totally worth the $ 16! If you have some cash to spend and love a low-key yet fun night out this place will deliver ten-fold.

Hubby and I were just wandering through the neighborhoods, when we came upon this place. It didn’t seem right to pass by a place called the Whiskey Bar! The bar has a very comfortable feel and a nice attitude. The bartenders know their whiskeys and didn’t seem to mind sharing their knowledge with us. I enjoyed an excellent Manhattan made with their house rye(Old Overholt Straight Rye Whiskey) and Hubby had Irish Coffee plus a local beer. I’m happy to have a new affordable rye whiskey to enjoy! We ordered the wings — they were dry rubbed with a nice mix of spices and served with a sauce that had a slight kick to it. As we were enjoying our drinks, the owners introduced themselves to us. They are a super nice couple with an interesting story of how they ended up with the Whiskey Bar. They told me their bartender makes the best Old Fashion and I would have to agree. It was a perfect blend of flavors and very enjoyable.

I’m certainly one who is willing to «eat crow» as long as it’s warmed up. Last Thursday I asked a work associate to meet me near Belltown to discuss a business matter. While was occupied with other things she headed off to The Whisky Bar. Oh s***, I’m thinking as I read her text that she had arrived and to meet her there. I thought, well, if they recognize me… Cody, the server/bartender stopped buy, remembered what I drank the last time I was there and, on top of it, called me by name; «it’s Brian, right?» I smiled and said, «you got it!» We had a great evening of Whisky drinking and eating delicious small plates, combined with attentive and acknowledging service. Bottom line here, is that Cody had read my previous review and had taken me seriously. Hats off to Cody and the Whisky Bar for paying attention and responding with an immense amount professionalism and most importantly, class. We chatted and ended the conversation like gentlemen should… with a firm handshake and a smile. The Whisky Bar is a great place with good drinks, good food, nice décor and a great vibe… Thanks guys… I truly love drinking whiskey and as far as I’m concerned, this is the place to do it. Five Stars! Gentlemen!

It’s really a shame that the service here is so poor because the drinks are so delicious! I have been here twice now. The first time it took forever for my friend and I to be served, but the drinks were good so we didn’t complain and it was okay because we had a chance to chat. The second time I was trying to kill a half hour before meeting up with some friends for dinner. I came in after an especially long day of work really just wanting a glass of water and a drink. After I sat down, I kept waiting for one of the staff to come take my order like they had done on the previous occasion. No dice. While I wasn’t paying attention, a waiter came and took the order of a party that had seated itself right behind me about 10 minutes after I arrived. At this point, I was just annoyed. I had spent the first 10 minutes I was there trying to flag someone down to take my order and then 5 minutes later had to watch the table behind me get served. That was enough for me. I stood up and walked out and do not intend to return.

This is my idea of a whiskey bar. Huge selection of brown drinks, knowledgable servers, and nice music but not pounding. Prices are Seattle consistent but not as gouging as most restaurants. Nice pours. Great beer selection too. We bought one of their cool Ts. No TVs if that matters to you.

Had a short stop here as our first bar in Seattle. Walked in as they opened and the place was pretty empty. They were out of some food items, but the bartender was nice, chatting with us about local places we needed to go and experience. Prices were high, but for a specialized bar, that is expected.

Unilocal has once again hooked me up over multiple time zones. I wanted to get a nice bourbon near my hotel to close out the night and the Whiskey Bar answered the call. The bartenders know their bourbon… I wanted a Manhattan Up and asked for my usual. The expert recommended something else and of course it was delicious. This is a great higher end joint in an area where you could consider it hit or miss. The beer selection was solid and the food looked great too although I didn’t eat. If you’re strolling down 2d Ave… make a stop into the Whiskey Bar… you won’t be disappointed.

This place is awesome! Met up a girlfriend for a drink(or two…) here and will definitely be back. The wings were amazing — crunchy and delicious with a little spice! The menu was a bit outdated so some of the items we were interested in(Brussels sprouts) were no longer available. Kind of a bummer that it wasn’t up to date with the new items, but we had great service to recommend something different! Looks like a solid place for HH or group get togethers.

Two girls — two nights — four cocktail bars(one trendsetting, one hyper popular, one speakeasy style, and this one). Of the four bars we visited, The Whiskey Bar was our clear favorite. One simple reason: our bartender made the best and most delicious craft cocktails! Why is Patrick an amazing bartender? He knows his stock, is creative, can make excellent recommendations based on the ingredients you like, and then serves it up expertly… and with a bit of flair. If I lived in Belltown, this would be my «go to» bar!

I came here with a group of friends for a late night drink and the first thing I noticed was that they were still serving up quality food at almost 1AM! I’m not much of a drinker so while everyone was filling up on booze I was stuffing myself full of good eats! I tried the Welsh rarebit(toast with stout cheese sauce with a side of pickled onions) and the seasonal cheese plate. The rarebit was SODAMNGOOD. The cheese plate was bountiful and delicious, at $ 9 bucks I felt like it was a steal of a deal. My group also ordered the sliders(one order of each kind), deviled eggs, crab cakes, fish and chips and jalapeño poppers. Everyone was really pleased with how delicious the food was, with the exception of the poppers which were apparently under cooked. I really liked the Whiskey Bar and I would absolutely come back. My only disappointment was that my whiskey loving boyfriend passed out too early to come and check out this awesome little spot!

Casual whiskey My brother in law was in town so we took him to this place. He LOVED it and appreciated how friendly and knowledgeable the server was. It wasn’t pretentious either. I ate the food that was just okay. I don’t drink whiskey so I can’t contribute there.

Appropriately named, this bar offers a wide range of whiskeys appropriately priced. I don’t know what’s typically played here. But the hard rock tunes weren’t a good fit for the place tonight. If I were to come back and the same music was playing I don’t think I would return.
