Big improvement with their new renovation. Still good sandwiches, and now the soup and salad are self-serve! Fast, convenient, and friendly staff!

Soup happy hour and jalapeño cornbread is where it’s at! I’ve found some of the soups to be variable, but for $ 3 for 12oz, it’s pretty hard to beat. Have breakfast in the morning and wait out the SLU lunch rush, head over after 2pm.

LOVE this place. I go to the new location on Eastlake. The staff are always pleasant and quick with my food order. I’ve been getting breakfast burritos which are always fresh and delicious and they have the best Pumpkin Spiced Lattes. So glad you guys are close to my work now. Thanks for the hard work!

Disclaimer: On some days I have 5-star experiences and other days it’s only 3 stars or less. Great little order/pay/sit sandwich shops for lunch or breakfast. This is one of my go to lunch places and I LOVE that they always have vegan, dairy-free, and/or vegetarian options for soups AND a salad bar. They make delicious sandwiches, salads, soups, — and OMG their cookies are to die for. Their staff is also warm and friendly. The only place that this place lacks is consistency. Sometimes their salad bar is the most amazing thing ever(especially early on in the week) when there are chunks of bacon and a plethora of fresh veggies. Other times, it’s a droopy, sad panda(on Fridays). Their soups also range in taste. The GREAT thing is they have taster cups to test before you commit to any. YESSS! 1. Free Cookie Fridays!!!(Go early, they do run out). 2. Pro Tip: Any of their wraps/sandwiches can be ordered as a salad. 3. They have free fruit infused water(we call it «spa water»). MEH = their variability 1. Some of their soups are blah. They range from dregs to delish! 3. Salad bar can be wilty sometimes.

Killer happy hour deal, good sandwiches, and INCREDIBLE cookies. Ironically, soups here have yet to blow my mind. Would give the overall food/atmosphere 4 stars, but the happy hour deal is incredible, simply can’t get a better deal for lunch after 2pm in this area

There is no feng shui at ALL in this place. Seriously. I went in to get some soup, but the emphasis was on sandwiches and ice cream. They have the worlds tiniest kitchen for a place that says they make their soup from scratch, and there is very little mention or explanation on the menu board about the soups. I think they gave up on soup as a main item and it is a token thing now? Food was meh… view was great!

I’ve heard great things. But I found out they don’t fallow special order instructions well. I asked for No Tomatoes. They write on the bag. I got back to my desk to find tomatoes. And I couldn’t even take them off, or I’d be sacrificing all the avocado that was smashed into them. So choices. eat it with an ingredient I’m not fond of or walk all the way back and complain, and wait for a new sandwich and miss my 1pm Meeting. Had to eat it. Not likely to go back.

Meh. I stopped by this place for the first time while looking for a place to grab some late lunch around 3pm. I was drawn to this place because I saw their today’s special 50% off soup + Panini combo. I got some 8oz creamy potato soup and a grilled cheese and it was actually a good deal — $ 4ish total! However, the soup tasted bland and the grilled cheese wasn’t anything memorable. I wouldn’t mind stopping by this place again if I’m just looking for any lunch to fill me up. However, if you are hoping for something tasty, maybe that depends largely on the type of soup/sandwich you pick!

While the food they offer is generally tasty, I have to say this place makes a LOT of mistakes with your order. I’m vegetarian, so I appreciate that they list which soups are vegetarian and which are gluten free or vegan on their board. But it’s really difficult to give these guys more than two stars when the employees don’t listen closely enough to your order and give you the wrong(non-vegetarian) soup, which you don’t find out until you start eating it. Quite disturbing, actually. On other occasions, I’ve ordered salads without the meat and they got that part wrong too. Ultimately, this restaurant hit the 3 strikes you’re out for me(and that was being super-generous by giving them multiple chances). I’m done.

Super yummy lunch spot for a great price! I wish they were open on the weekends but this place clearly caters to the 9 – 5 lunch crowd. The tomato basil soup is severed HOT and has good flavor and the broccoli poblano is delish! Add some bacon to the grilled cheese on sourdough! LOVE the Seahawks themed BEASTMODE! All-in-All you get your $$s worth with good portions, hot soup and quick service!

I’ve been here several times and the service & food were excellent. Staff were friendly but efficient, even during lunch rush hour. The Roast Beef & Cheddar sandwich was an early favorite of mine, but now I go for the Greek Salad wrap. The French Onion Soup — which comes with generously sized croutons — is usually my choice for the combo. Soup can be a tricky thing to package for take-out, but I haven’t had any problems with spilling yet. The only inconvenience is in the ordering process. It is a pet peeve of mine when a food place makes you repeat your order during payment, because I inevitably forget the exact name of what I ordered. Chipotle has a similar assembly-line setup, but I don’t have to repeat my order there.

Great tasting soups and sandwiches and super duper friendly staff. Oh, and the cookies are stupid good! One of the food shows needs to do a show on their cookies… yeah, that good!

I got the worst service there I’ve ever had in my life. And I’m a chef. The manager named sammie glared at me from the moment I walked in, I polietley waited and all she did was look at me and after so long of a waiting time she spoke to me and said in a horribly rude voice WHATDOYOUWANT? I was so offended.

After skimming through reviews of this joint and noticing that a lack of organization has been a commonality among their Unilocal ratings, I kept a close eye out for my order to be correct — boy, sure am glad I did. Here’s my experience in a nutshell. Just after 11:00am, not terribly slammed but steadily busy, about 4 – 5 staff members behind the counter taking orders, preparing and cashing you out, it only took a minute to get my order in and a few more to pay, mainly since the cashier asked what kind of sandwich I ordered(the chicken one with… stuff? I dunno?), so, of course I had to make my way back to the other end of the line to see which one it was — seemed a bit unnecessary. When my order was up, there was a little confusion on who had the one that I’d ordered, since they call you out by name but it’s a bit difficult to hear over the crowd of people conversing and my name sounded similar to another patron so I almost lost my lunch to another, but it eventually made it to me. A little more unnecessary confusion. After taking a peek to make sure all was there, the soup wasn’t the size I’d ordered so I unfortunately had to have that swapped out. The employee was considerate and quick to fix the problem but it just seems like a simple mistake that would cost my business and trust. The sandwich was okay. They’ll grill ‘em but mine turned out to be a bit on the blackened side. That’s normally what my aunt would call«Cajun.» The soup was supposed to be topped with«croutons and parmesan,» as noted on the sign but take a good guess… yep, none to be found. I also expected the soup to be more filling but I found myself scraping the bottom of the cup to find any chunky chicken goodness to fill me up. I’d like to try it out again for sure, earlier in the day perhaps, when there’s not«so many cooks in the kitchen» and where communication hopefully exists. In the end, it was a fairly quick trip in and out, but being a light eater and hoping to get a couple of meals out of the $ 13 spent here probably wasn’t worth it this time around.

Today was my second time here(Jimmy Johns line was too long). I got the Turkey Bacon and Avocado Sandwich — surprisingly good — definitely a step up from JJs in ingredient quality– especially the plentiful bacon. Worth the extra couple of bucks. Those cookies were mighty tempting… will have to stop back in to try one.

This is a decent place for lunch, but with so many other lunch options in South Lake Union, I don’t think would be among my first choices. The soups taste good, but are never as hearty or filling as I’d like. It can also get really busy during lunch hour.

The food is good, but not exceptional. I had the split pea and ham, which was adequate, but it was more watery than a lentil-based soup should be. Seating in the restaurant is atrocious – you are essentially sitting in the line of people waiting for food. Next time I’d just go for takeout and eat elsewhere. Spendy based upon the location, quality, amenities, and atmosphere.

I was so impressed that I was in and out of here today in less than 5 minutes, even at noon on a cold winter day! There must’ve been practically 20 people packed into this small space, all ordering food at the same time. The line of employees serving soup was just as impressive as the soup itself. My boyfriend and I shared a chicken chili and a split pea soup. The price was just right, the soup was still piping hot by the time we got it home, and the portion sizes varied so we could eat a lot, or a little depending on how hungry we were. Fridges along the walls house bottled water, soda, tea, and even energy drinks. You can get wraps, sandwiches, soup + sandwich combos, and salads. I also spied ENORMOUS cookies at the register. Smart! I’ve come here a few times now but after seeing how well they handle the crazy SLU tech crowd at lunch, I finally remembered to review it. It doesn’t hurt that they have over a dozen types of soup served regularly. You could eat here daily for weeks and never run out of options.
