Description

Specialties

The Cat Behavior Clinic is a unique organization devoted to researching and solving cat behavior problems. The clinic opened in 1999 and now serves satisfied clients all over the world (see our Rave Reviews, unparalleled in the field since 1999). The Cat Behavior Clinic was founded by Mieshelle Nagelschneider, a nationally known veterinarian-referred cat behaviorist who has dedicated 20 years to consulting with cat owners around the world to solve their cats’ behavior problems.

We deal with the most extreme behavior issues in cats, as well as everyday problems like aggression, spraying, and litter box issues – problems that cause millions of cats to be surrendered to shelters every year. In the U.S. there are 88 million households that include one or more cats and every one of those cat owners has at some point dealt with feline behavior that drove them nuts. And the truth is, almost every cat behavior problem is solvable.

History

Established in 2008.

Through word-of-mouth and thousands of satisfied clients as well as our work with cat sanctuaries, veterinary practices, and shelters, The Cat Behavior Clinic has become renowned in the field. Because there are not very many cat consulting services in the U.S. as compared to dogs, cat behaviorist Mieshelle Nagelschneider naturally felt it was critical that there be a place to serve the very under-served cat owner. Her advice has been in Salon.com, USA Today, Real Simple Magazine, Cat Fancy Magazine, This Wild Life, Divine Cat, The Cat Channel, Pets Magazine, Yahoo.com, Toronto Star, and Globe and Mail.

Business Owner

Mieshelle Nagelschneider’s love of cats began on the farm where she was raised in rural Oregon and continued with a career as a veterinary assistant. It was during this work that she developed her skills with cats, and that Mieshelle realized cat owners were in as much need of training as the cats themselves. She began consulting professionally in 1999 and has dedicated herself to providing Cat Whisperer™ consulting with thousands of clients exclusively on cat behavior issues.

Mieshelle most recent study of animal behavior was at Harvard University and she has now logged more hours helping more cat owners solve more cat behavior problems than any cat behaviorist in the world. Based in the Pacific Northwest, skilled at the sleuth-work of determining cause and effect in person or by phone, she is one of the few cat behaviorists anywhere who serves clients all over the world.
