This place is GREAT! I terrific place to grab some good beer, especially stuff you can’t find in the stores. Also nice to grab beer in a can that you can take on hikes and stuff, less weight compared to glass. Staff is super knowledgable and fun to talk with. I highly recommend this place for beer enthusiasts and active people that would like to occasionally take some beer on their outdoor adventurers. Looking forward to them being able to can beer for local brew companies to expand what they offer.

Scoping local brews at the Cannery! You gotta look hard to find this place, hidden underneath Kicking Boot. They’ve got all the beers in cans, and they’re planning to start canning other local brews than don’t can.

The Cannery’s been open two months and they’re still getting their feet underneath them. It current consists of about a half dozen refrigerator cases stocked with a decent selection of… you guessed it… cans. The owners told me their real business model is canning on demand from kegs — like growlers but cans. I don’t really drink enough beer in one/two sitting(s) to justify growlers, so I’m intrigued by the idea. The prices seemed a touch high for cans(think grocery store prices), so hopefully things are a bit cheaper coming out of kegs. There’s mention of a beer garden in the courtyard outside. That space has been ripe for a boozey mix of concrete and drinking outside, so I’ll give them four stars just for the idea.
