My name is Mike Labrum and I’ve been working in café’s off and on since 2000. There’s something about having a warm cup in your hands and the smell of freshly ground coffee that seems to help people settle in and feel at home. My goal is to create the best possible café in the Haller Lake community that’s characterized by good coffee, good space, and good people.

Coffee shop attached to and run by the church community. I’m not christian but was looking for a quiet place to work out of. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised at the simple décor and open space. If i didn’t know any better, I would have had no idea this was attached to a church. I was warmly greeted by the pastor barista, and had a nice little chat about faith and science, a nice change of pace from the usual persecution and cynicism of similar chats I’ve had. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Great place! Tables and couches to sit at and friendly staff. I got a short latte that was delicious and the perfect temperature. Service was quick too! I popped in the area to meet someone so it was my first time in. If I was ever in the area, I’d come here! I was able to find a parking spot just fine as well.

This is the closest coffee shop to my house. It is the definition of a neighborhood coffee shop — a small joint hosted by the neighborhood church. There is a fair amount of «churchiness» scattered about (noticeable in the music choices, some of the artwork on the walls, and the notice board) but nothing too aggressive or out of place. There are no fake flowers in vases, bible verses printed on cardstock, or attempts to proselytize, which I appreciate. The décor is cozy and appropriate for a coffee shop. It’s a nice place to study, or meet someone for a chat.
The baristas are consistently friendly, and the coffee is consistently good.

A surprise coffee shop with super friendly staff and customers. It has a great play area for our girls and serves Stumptown coffee. Most of the baristas do a good espresso pull though the drip could use some help. Overall a great place!

What a gem! Good coffee (but a pretty basic, somewhat boring selection of you like fancy drinks), wheelchair accessible, large bathroom with a changing table, lots of space to move around (like with a stroller or a toddler), cozy kiddie corner, I felt comfortable breastfeeding there, pleasant music, and cool on a hot day. There are also a lot of tables and plugs for laptops and whatnot. Do not go there if you want anything to munch on. The offerings are slim.

Cozy but open coffeehouse connected to a church building. Staff was friendly, coffee well made, free wifi, and outlets to use to charge your things-​all you can ask for in a café to get some work done. I came in a early afternoon on a weekday and there was a few people but a nice quiet atmosphere overall. I could see spaces running out during busy time since there are only several-​albeit large-​tables. But there are couches and other armchairs to occupy as well. Will definitely be returning.

My wife and I live in the neighborhood of Haller Lake and love taking a stroll around the walking loop of the lake. We discovered The Bridge after needing a coffee fix on our walk and boy were we glad we did.
The location is hard to find as it is attached to the church, but it has a distinct coffeehouse feel when you walk in and is a great place to hang out and get some work done. Everyone that works there is polite and kind.
They serve stump town coffee and I have had coffee at many places around the city and they rank at the top of the list for best baristas! Can’t recommend enough!

They have a variety of milks, almond and soy. I purchased an almond mocha and a peanut better wow cookie (gluten free). The atmosphere was laid back and they have a charming space as well as friendly workers!

Cute little coffee shop nestled inside a church. Might be hard to find, but it’s cozy and the coffee is great! I really enjoyed my chai latte.

What a fantastic little coffee shop! My friend recommended we head there today as we’re both parents of young ones and they have a small dedicated play area. I was immediately impressed when walking in. The man who helped me was very nice, the place was so clean, and the food and drinks were awesome. I also actually really want to commend this place on being immaculately clean. My friend and I sat with our babies on the floor in the play area, and it was spick and span! No little dirty pieces here or there for our kiddos to pick up and eat. :)
It’s a little far from me as I live in Magnolia, but I’ll definitely be returning. A great place for friends to relax and have coffee in a nice, quiet spot. Even better on a grey winter day.

The Bridge is a favorite! Friendly staff, cozy setting, great music — AND awesome Stumptown coffee, couldn’t ask for more! I’d say I’m a regular here and have enjoyed every experience. Bring a book (or grab one from their community shelf), plan a meeting with friends or reserve their back room for a staff meeting (we have!). Great spot to bring young kids, as they have an awesome play corner. Also, dog-​friendly, which is a huge plus for all who like to walk their pets around the Haller Lake neighborhood. They even have a little treat cup near the register for four-​legged friends. Baked goods are deliciously sourced from Little Rae’s Bakery!
A few new highlights to mention, The Bridge is also a nonprofit and they participate in caffè sospeso, or a prepaid coffee for someone in need. It’s a sweet program. Additionally, they are starting to offer pour-​over coffee and I can’t wait to try it out!

I had no idea this place existed until I found it on Unilocal.Located in a church I almost skipped it but the reviews were good.
The coffee is excellent. As mentioned in other reviews they sell Stumptown. Baked goods are from Essential Bakery — another win in my book. They shop is simple but with a good amount of seating. Music was innocuous but most importantly not churchy.
Mellow vibe with great coffee. What a little gem in a neighborhood dominated by housing and only a few blocks off Hwy 99.

I am a realtor so I’m out and about in different neighborhoods all the time trying avoid Starbucks whenever possible. Today, in Haller Lake, I Unilocaled the closest coffee shop to my listing and found this gem. So thankful! Wonderful service. Sweet location and atmosphere. Great coffee. Thanks!

It’s a nice little coffee shop. There’s a room to study, tables for multiple people and even games to play. Although if you’re looking a quite place to read/​work, I’d suggest bringing headphones because it can get noisy fast with people in line or standing around on top of the background music. BUT, that’s not often the case (which is unfortunate for their business).
But other than the atmosphere, I really enjoy the coffee selection and the food selection is okay too. It’s mainly focused on its Stumptown coffee so don’t expect a vast food selection. But the employees are friendly and helpful. As a fan of quirky indie coffeehouses, this place is one of my favorites.

This is a surprisingly nice little café in an unexpected spot. The décor isn’t as designer-​perfect as a Starbucks, but it has a similar earth-​toned lounging-​friendly feel. My latte was excellent (Stumptown! Somebody knows their coffee…) and service was friendly. There were a couple of baked goods available, but they didn’t look too promising.
The café is a North Seattle Alliance Church outreach program, but it’s no more Jesusy than your average café. Very child-​friendly.

I’ve been here twice, and the coffee (first-​tier espresso drinks, with rosettas and everything) and space are both great. It’s an off-​the-​beaten path coffee shop, so it’s often quiet and roomy.
Note that it’s in North Seattle Alliance Church. It was hard to find initially because I was expecting a standalone. The signage is pretty subtle.
Also it’s inexpensive, as it’s run by the church and clearly not seen as a cash cow.
The one reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the music. The first time I came in, it was piano solo Disney music (literally). The second time, it was still the piano solo stuff, but of the kind you’d find on an Andrea Bocelli album. That can be nice in its place, but for me is too schmaltzy for coffee shop atmosphere.
So… great place with excellent coffee. Bring your headphones.
