This is a pharmacy — Unilocal needs to update its categories. I went here to pick up a prescription that is submitted via syringe. The tech checking me out lied to my face, telling me that no, I didn’t need alcohol swipes to administer the medication. This is basic medical information, and I knew better. I was also told by the pharmacist that I would get a sharps container. The tech told me I wouldn’t, but her co-worker overheard her and told me that yes, I was; it was inside the box of supplies I was getting. The tech cashing me became more annoyed at having to help me for no reason. She then asked if she had to charge me the amount listed as my co-payment because she wanted to charge me the full price for the medication. Her co-worker told her to only charge the co-payment. The tech then asked if I’d used the medicine before, and I had but years ago. She then gave haphazard instructions on how to administer it. She misinterpreted my answer as not remembering what to do. If that was the case, I would have asked the pharmacist. This young woman needs new training all around. This was the first time I had used this pharmacy, only because it was in the same building as the doctor I saw. I won’t be going here again, no matter what.
