Specialties
Hawai’ian LomiLomi originates in the healing traditions of the Islands and was used as a primary source of healing for injury and sickness. Incorporating broad rhythmic strokes with the hands and forearms, Lomi accesses and relieves the painful and dysfunctional areas of the body with deep tissue techniques that are both gentle and highly effective.
My unique and effective method incorporates a blend of styles with the fluidity of broad Hawaiian LomiLomi strokes and specific deep tissue and trigger point application. I work to open and balance the body, so that the life you experience away from the massage room becomes more fluid and easy.
Everywhere I have practiced, I have become a top-rated practitioner. Many other practitioners will exclusively see me for bodywork — I am the massage therapist’s massage therapist. I have become very good at what I do, because I love what I do.
I guarantee, this will be the greatest massage you’ve ever experienced!
History
Established in 2004.
After finishing training in 2002 at the Brenneke School of Massage, I moved to the Hawaiian islands to live and practice bodywork on the Big Island and Oahu. In 2004, after almost two years in paradise, I returned home, and brought a little of Hawaii with me. The spirit of the islands resonated deeply with me, and that feeling I bring to every massage. I opened my practice within a few weeks of coming home, and still have many clients coming to see me from the original days of my business. Since then, I have grown much as a practitioner, but have kept my business focus simple: treat everyone with the heart of Aloha.
Meet the Business Owner
Drew P.
Business Owner
Originally, I am a native of Seattle. For many years, I pursued the path of a healer with the intention of attending medical school. After much experience in the world of allopathic medical research, I decided that the conventional western approach was not right for me. With a background in the medical sciences, and a strong resonance with alternative forms of healing, therapeutic and energetic massage was a natural choice for a new career direction. During the long journey between, I have been many things: a martial arts instructor, a photographer, an owner of an organic lunch delivery company, a volunteer crisis counselor, a biology researcher, a beach bum — but through it all, more than anything else, a healer.
Furthering my path in the healing arts, I began my acupuncture training in the fall of 2007 with the Wu Hsing Tao School of Five Element Acupuncture. I will graduated during the spring of 2011, and I am now combining my massage practice with 5E acupuncture.
