I went here for a speaker install on my new car. Due to system integration I cannot replace the deck so I just chose to replace the speakers. The price for the install plus speakers ended up being $ 475 and took about 3 hours. I was in a rush when I grabbed the car due to a lunch appointment and didn’t really have time to do a full inspection. Well come Sunday I decided to have a good listen to the speakers and run a sound sweep to see how they perform and it was awful. My base speakers sounded WAY better.
Come Monday, I decided to go to cartoys (if only for the reason that they won’t smoke near my car) and see if maybe throwing an amp in would help them sound better. They immediately could tell something was wrong. I paid them to take it apart and see what the problem was. Turns out the installer at Stereo Warehouse threw the crossovers IN THE TRASH. No one told me. «They made a popping sound when they were plugged in.» WHY WOULD YOU NOT INVESTIGATE WHY THEY ARE POPPING?!
So at this point, a simple speaker install it costing me nearly $ 850, 6 hours of my life plus the time I had to take off work to get this fixed .
The only reason I am not leaving one star is because they refunded me $ 125 because of the installer being a dumbass.
TLDR: installer threw important part of install in garbage.

Dropped by Stereo Warehouse on a Sunday morning to see about installing an android head unit I purchased online. Manny and company were very welcoming in the store and very straight forward. Install was half the price of another Seattle competitor. Half. That other competitor had a 4 week waitlist. Stereo Warehouse had it done 1.5 hours after I walked in. ON A SUNDAY. Lifetime warranty on labor. Keith did such a clean job I doubt ill run into any trouble. This is how it’s done! Ill be back soon when I save up for putting in a subwoofer.

I went to this place to have audio put in. First it caught fire went back to them and they blew me off. Later that day I took it to the dealership because things start going out. They blew my whole electrical system. A 200 $ job turned into a $ 1500 headache. Stay away

I had a problem with a stereo installed over ten years ago. They were friendly, fast, and free. It took them less time to diagnose and fix the worn out wire insulation problem than I’m taking to write this review. One of the first things I plan to do when I get my next (used) car, is to go to Stereo Warehouse to buy a great sound system and have them install it.

These guys are so awesome! I called and asked if they could do an installation for me, they said come on over now, and they did the work immediately, only took them two hours. These guys are really nice to work with and their work is perfect! I highly recommend them!

I want to say thanks to Jake the sales guy for helping me figure out the best available option for a new alarm for me. I want to say thanks to AL for the installation job because he was working on a totally custom car and was able to get it done and figure out a few issues along the way in a timely manner. Employees were nice and very helpful and I would definitely use them in the future. Thanks again guys!

It’s been over 15 years since I’ve been here, and right now I really wish I could be there. I’d like to pinpoint one of my first visits, back in late 1999/​early 2000: I purchased a 10″ sub and a box for it. I only paid $ 10 for that sub (Jensen Road Gear) and it went on for 16 years, dependably. It just blew last night. It made me realize that now living in Missoula Montana, Stereo Warehouse is probably the one and only thing I miss about Seattle. I’m almost considering making the nine hour drive just to get here for my replacement. I’ll spend over $ 100 in gas to get there, and just for a 10″ subwoofer. So, if that doesn’t say something about this place, I’m not sure what does. The only thing I wish that could be different, at all, is an online purchasing option. These are the only guys I want to give my business to, so I simply wish I had better access is all. Keep in mind, this is not my one and only time I had been to the SW. I’ve had several vehicles in and out of there, never a hiccup of any kind. Get there.

Stereo Warehouse — The best!!!
My son bought a car with a stereo system installed by Car Toys. Needless to say, the system stopped working. We took it to Car Toys but they couldn’t figure out what they did wrong when they installed it. To be fair, the technician didnt do anything other than stand there, look at it and check a fuse. While they admitted it was their work product, they refused to look into it further without being paid for an hour of labor. Not only is their policy of fixing their work product, horrible, the customer service we received was equally as bad. We took it to stereo wharehouse, they tested various things associated with the system and found the root of the problem. One of the technicians, Miles, spent a lot of time working with my son to make sure he got it working. They were all very helpful, and their customer service is on point. Car toys could learn a few things from them. I highly recommend Stereo Warehouse!

These guys were solid. They allowed me to browse before they asked if I needed assistance. I told them what I needed (a birthday present for someone special), and I was pretty specific. I needed a stereo that will play an iPod via Bluetooth or USB. They mentioned that I was looking at the perfect model, but suggested 2 others. When I asked the salesperson which one he recommended, he picked the model that I was eyeing. They offered the stereo that was similarly priced on Amazon, but after reading other reviews, I wanted to buy from a local store over Amazon, Best Buy & even Car Toys.
They were able to install the stereo right away. They said 45 minutes, but it took them around 35 minutes. The birthday boy was pleasantly surprised with his gift. I am very satisfied with Stereo Warehouse and would recommend them to anyone in Seattle.

I was pretty worried going to an audio store because I don’t know much about it. But my wife read tons of reviews and was buying me a stereo for my birthday. The reviews said this place was good, and they were right.
The salesmen didn’t really seem like salesmen. They were more like guides, and weren’t pushy. Before showing me what they offered, they got a good sense of what I was
looking for. This really set me at ease because although I didn’t want to spend a fortune, I didn’t want to buy something I’d regret having bought later and have to upgrade.
I can honestly say that I couldn’t be any happier with this purchase. The stereo is phenomenal, the service was great, and I highly recommend Stereo Warehouse to anyone looking for car audio.

They installed my stereo in the wrong compartment and then overcharged me for it ($ 150, just the stereo install after being told it’d be half that, including parts when I came in a few days before and spoke to the weird owner guy who hit on my girlfriend). When they finished they wouldn’t let me leave because some dude working there demanded $ 20 (cash only) for an adapter… they wouldn’t give me my keys and made me walk to some random ATM on Aurora. This was a really bad experience and just so unprofessional, so much so that I just had to write this review in order to quell the cognitive dissonance that this bizarre, unpleasant exchange left me with because I don’t ever write reviews but this was just too weird. I feel cheated and swindled and won’t be going back and would advise others to not support these thugs. Go to Car Toys across the street, Best Buy or just do it your self.

Fast work. Great prices. They are honest and Knowledgeable on their area. They even refunded some of the money I paid because my radio installation was easier than expected.

My car had some serious audio issues, they fixed it while we had lunch next door. The employees are fun and all seemed happy. They spent time teaching us all the functions of our new radio. I totally recommend them!

I lost my faceplate awhile back and I’m starting to get road rage and the remedy is music, so I bought a new stereo today. The salesmen weren’t pushy and were actually very helpful.
The installer was very friendly and the work was done pretty quickly.
The ONLY reason this place didn’t get 5 stars is because $ 80 for a stereo installation is a bit steep. I would have done it myself but it’s been about 8 years since I’ve worked on car electronics so I opted to have them install it. I was thinking about $ 50, not $ 70 for the installation.

I never write reviews but I had such a good experience here I am so happy with my service here I thought I’d share. The selection is really good, prices are fair (for hardware AND installation), and the service is superb. More than anything, I value customer service. And this place delivers. It’s a sad way to say it, but this is «old-​school» customer service — the practice of offering not only a physical product, but a service.
Another great thing is no up selling. I came in with a budget and they didn’t even try to talk me out of it. I love it.
If I ever need any stereo-​related needs, I’ll be back!

So, like many North westerners I’ve of course seen the commercials on TV for years and live not far from Stereo Warehouse, but seeing as I hadn’t really had a need for car stereo equipment I didn’t really have a reason to stop by this place… until recently!
Long story short, my factory deck finally stopped working after several years, and I thought I’d have a real hassle on my hands. I stopped into Stereo Warehouse and was immediately met by the familiar face of the owner, who right from the get-​go was colorful yet very friendly, but more importantly was up front in telling me my options and very informative about all of the decks. I never felt any pressure to buy any one item, so selecting the deck I wanted was easy! The topper, the prices were great and, with installation, I was in and out of there in the span of one hour!
Great staff, top of the line products, and the added satisfaction of shopping at a longtime LOCAL business! I’d go back anytime, and recommend Stereo Warehouse to anyone!

First off, let me start off by saying that I’ve been going to Stereo Warehouse since it’s old location on 150^th and Aurora. I’ve NEVER had a problem with these guys. They’re honest, informed on their products, and pleasant to work with. Every single one of my trucks/SUV’s had been touched by the folks at this place. From single din decks to roof mounted fold down tv screens/​entertainment systems.
My most recent experience with these guys was when someone stole my subs out of my 2002 Tahoe (which Stereo Warehouse installed originally), got caught in the act and try to drive away with them but didn’t close the tailgate to their getaway truck. My Subs fell out and hit the ground really hard. The next day I took a look at the damage, they tried to unhook all my amps and wires were disconnected everywhere. It was a mess! I took them up to Stereo Warehouse and told them what happened and asked if they could take a look at the boxes to see if there was any severe damage and to reconnect the wires and do a few sound checks…
They took me in right away, fixed the issues (small crack in one of the boxes that they sealed off) and re-​installed my boxes and hooked my amps up again. They didn’t ask for any money, but I insisted that they take something and the guys said $ 20 bucks will be fine. I had no problem with that considering they had my truck there for a few hours.
Some of these reviews are pretty silly. I’m not sure if people are truly aware of the standards these guys set on the rest of the market. They’ve always exceeded mine, that’s for sure.
