Stacya Silverman

I decided to make an eyebrow appointment with Stacya Silverman after seeing all of the 5 star reviews. Stacya and her staff were absolutely wonderful! If you are looking to get a professional wax session to achieve a stunning natural brow, then Stacya Silverman is the place to go. You can trust that she will do the job correctly and you will come out looking fabulous and pain free. The location of the business is another plus. It is easy to find and there is plenty of free street parking. I will definitely be back!

I will start with the positive: I have been to the salon about 3 or 4 times and the quality of the waxing from Stacya was great, no complaints there.
The reason for my low rating is how rude the service is: I arrived early on one of my appointment, a customer was on the phone, and after the call I heard Stacya criticizing the caller, about how that client is always lost and can’t find her way, and she does not take her as a customer anymore because «there is not enough money in the world».
Subsequently I was literally 2 minutes late for my appointment when I got a call from Stacya, followed by an email stating that «I do not run late here, my clients are all super busy mothers who expect me to run on time, and so I do.»
The way she works is that each client gets 20 minutes — that’s it, and if you are 1 – 2 minutes late, expect a rude call followed by a rude email because you are not complying with her rules.
She runs an assembly line to maximize clients, which is in stark contrast to any other spa, my experience at Stacya’s generated stress, not relaxation.
Customer respect and customer service is hugely important in this business, and I expect it from all service providers.
There are plenty of wonderful providers who are excellent estheticians and will treat you with kindness and respect, visit Classique Queen Anne Spa nearby, or my new favorite in lower Queen Anne: Jill Bucy Skin Care in the historic Marqueen Hotel, you will come out beautiful *and* relaxed.

When my regular eyebrow lady left the salon she worked at, I struggled to find someone who could do a decent job with my thin brows. I am lucky to have found this wonderful place and I am so thankful to Angelika! She sat me down and assessed my eyebrow situation. She explained to me what needs to be done to even them out and then she carefully waxed and trimmed them to give them a great shape instead of just rounding it out. It took just about 10 minutes from start to finish. I highly recommend this place and I’m definitely coming back.

Stacya is a pleasure to visit and she is excellent at what she does. She has a wonderful, friendly studio on Queen Anne; and her and her team make you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. And, if you are into art and photography, Stacya has beautiful artwork hanging on her studio walls at all times; the pieces typically rotate out monthly and they are also for purchase.

I have been a delighted customer for more than 15 years now! Back in the day received excellent facials by Stacya Silverman as well. These days she is my eyebrow shaping and tinting Goddess. Few weeks ago received another eyebrow and eyelash shaping and tinting service from Stacya. Exceptional, careful, custom work by her. Always with a preliminary consultation and final step, presenting a mirror to me when I give a wide smile and thank you’s. Her space is comfortable, inviting and has become a place where selected beautiful artwork is periodically displayed. I noticed one review here comes with a photo attached. As one recognizes a style of an artist, that does not look like Ms Silverman work. She is known for her smooth and meticulous final eye brow work and I always receive the best from her. Thank you!

I’ve been wanting to visit Stacya Silverman since 2009, since I saw what a fantastic job she did on my sister’s brows. As I live in California, it took a number of years before I could coordinate a visit with my sister with an appointment with Stacya. It was worth the wait! She leaves brows on the thicker side until she checks with you to make sure you want more taken off — I cannot emphasize how much I appreciate that! After seeing her, my brows are even, natural and thick but with a definite shape. I am very, very, very happy with how they turned out — thank you Stacya!

I look forward to my appts with Stacya. I love her boutique and she is always doing something cool with the local art community… which I love! My eyebrows are 100% the best they have ever looked… she let’s me channel my inner Brooke Shields and I will be forever coming back.

Stacya is known for her brow services and for providing a top-​notch experience for her clients. I was fortunate to receive a «wedding prep» gift certificate for a 90 minute facial at her studio with her associate Angelika Levin. Amazing! Lovely environment, comfortable salon table and linens, a bonus back scrub, and a relaxing, yet rejuvenating facial. I came in feeling like a stressed out, dirty pore, multi-​task madwoman — but left feeling revived, fresh faced, relaxed, and ready for the world.
I highly recommend this salon and an appointment with Angelika.

I really don’t think my eyebrows have looked this good before. I’m very happy to have gone to Stacya. She’s fast and has made waxing 99% pain free! My eyebrows are never burning red when I leave her place and that’s amazing! Thanks Stacya!

At this time, Stacya herself is not taking on new clients. However, she recommends Angelika and she was wonderful. I hadn’t had my brows seen to in a looooong while, and she was understanding and didn’t over do it at all! She tamed the beasts, and even threw in a brow tint, so I could try it out.
And how did I go this long with out ever getting that done!!!
Huge plus, Angelika has appoints starting at 5pm and on weekends, which is great for people how can’t make the 9 – 5 hours (like me!).

I’m giving two stars to be nice even though she really deserves less than one star. I saw Stacya several times and the last time I saw her, she made my eyebrows super thin and uneven (see photo). They were so uneven that people who don’t usually notice these things asked me what happened.
I’m not sure what happend but the most horrible part was that she kept saying how she wanted to make sure I looked great and was super nice while she was waxing my brows. If she made a mistake, then I expect her to be ethical enough to say she took too much off and she’s sorry and that I should do x to help them grow back. Or, if I did something else that offended her, I expect her to tell me to not come back rather than make my brows so bad that I won’t return on my own volition. She’s not just some waxer, she’s a business owner and I expect her to have better ethics.

First time coming and I will be back. Finally someone who understands the importance of good brows. Don’t waste your time and money on places and people who don’t take the time or retain the knowledge of what it means to make you look your best. Anyone can wax, it takes someone with the know how to no when and where to stop. Thank you Stacya!

Some people really need to consider growing out their brows and getting that FIXED! For real. FOR. REAL. When it’s time to get all that tamed, hit up Stacya! She’s like Seattle’s Anastasia (and if you don’t know who she is Google her, k?)

This woman has changed my life! As a redhead, I became quite used to having different hair and coloring fairly early in life. Now, I love being a redhead, but I always felt self-​conscious about my near-​invisible brows. They were a mess, and naturally very, very, very light. I went to Stacya for the first time a month ago (and had my second appointment with her yesterday) for a brow tint and wax. Not only did she give me necessary shaping and tips for growing them out, but I finally have proper coloring. These new brows have changed my entire look! For my first visit, we started off with a nice, warm light brown, and yesterday we took them a bit darker. Very natural. Close friends and family have noticed and all say they look fantastic and that the brows (finally) are able to do their job and give proper definition and proportion to my face. Most importantly, I love them. Stacya is my brow goddess for life.
She’s also very approachable. Straight-​forward with a great attitude. And she cares about your brows — she’s got their back, and wants what’s best for them, and you.

If you do just one thing to improve the way you look, make it a trip to Stacya’s to have your eyebrows done! I’ve been going to Stacya for years and she’s a true artist. I always receive complements about the way I look after I see her, although people can’t quite figure out what I’ve done that looks better (her work results in naturally beautiful eyebrows, and not cookie-​cutter crescents). Stacya’s delightful to be around, well-​read, knowledgeable about everything under the sun, and hilarious. Besides being super-​talented, she’s a really good, community-​minded person and she owns just the kind of business I’m thrilled to support.

I wrote that review in May 2011 and, after a year of being up, my review suddenly disappeared behind the Unilocal Veil. My understanding is that I needed to write more Unilocal reviews, so I’ve done that. Anyhoo, I still see Stacya regularly and I wouldn’t change a thing about my first review of her. She’s as great as ever and I can’t wait to see her new place!

I keep going back as there is no one I have ever met who can do what she does. Amazing.

Stacya is perhaps Seattle’s best kept beauty secret. She is truly an expert at what she does, and this expertise lends itself to total perfectionism when it comes to brow shaping. Stacya is also warm, witty, and an expert on all things Seattle. My visits with her are always a pleasure. Thank you Stacya, for being so fabulous!

I found Stacya in pre-​Yelp years (~2002) via a word-​of-​mouth. Ever since I’ve been going to Stacya for making my brows look fabulous (she’s a master tinter as well) and keeping the the ‘fairways and greens’ nicely manicured. She’s professional, witty, and very, very good at what she does.
She will never make your brows get waxed/​plucked into oblivion! Save or rehab your brows! Go to Stacya!

Stacya is fabulous! I can’t recommend her enough.
I have high-​maintenance brows — they need to be tinted to match my haircolor, and they need to be tweezed because my skin is sensitive to waxing.
Stacya has amazing attention to detail and is extremely conscientious. I always leave looking and feeling more glamorous!
