Description

Specialties

We are the largest non-profit in the world dedicated to the conservation of the endangered snow leopard. We partner with communities living in 5 snow leopard range countries to address the poverty that leads to poaching.

We create economic opportunities that drastically improve human quality of life in the regions where we work. Each community member who participates in our programs pledges to protect the snow leopards living nearby.

We have the highest rating a non-profit can get from Charity Navigator, the leading independent charity review board.

History

Established in 1981.

The Snow Leopard Trust was founded by Helen Freeman, who fell in love with snow leopards during her years of service at the Woodland Park Zoo.
