Do not go here, this place is a scam. When I met the dentist she told me that the first thing she noticed about me was«the extreme discoloration of my tooth.» She told me that she imagined I was self conscience about it since my friends probably all noticed it too(the slightly yellow tooth never embarrassed me before). She said I would definitely need a veneer for it because it would only get worse. She also told me I had 2 cavities(which I later found out was a lie). I left feeling really bad about myself. Later I felt worse because the receptionist could not figure out how to correctly bill my insurance company. It was a huge hassle for me to straighten out with them. Since the dentist was so mean and tactless I started going to a different dentist. According to my new dentist I have no cavities and will not need a veneer for my tooth. If you do go to Smiles Secret I would encourage you to get a second opinion before having any major dental work done.

Dr. Chellis is on Unilocal both as an individual dentist and as a business, so I’m re-posting my review of Dr. Chellis here, as it also applies to her business practices at Smile Secrets: Dr. Chellis was my dentist for close to 20 years and I left her for another dentist about six years ago. Not once have I regretted my decision. Dr. Chellis was a nice person and very friendly, but her work was expensive and she put on a lot of pressure for proactive work. For example, at my last appointment with her, even though I didn’t have any cavities at the time, she tried to get me to agree to a DNA test(costing several hundred dollars, not covered by insurance) because she claimed that I was«more susceptible» to cavities due to the chemistry of my saliva. I’ve had maybe 2 cavities in 30 years, which to me, isn’t a higher number than the average person my age. I’d been seeing Dr. Chellis for years and she had never mentioned this potential problem. She convinced me to buy some special $ 20 preventative mouthwash while at her office, which smelled and tasted like bleach. It was disgusting. When I mentioned this treatment to my new dentist one time, he was aghast. He said I shouldn’t have been a candidate for it in the first place. So, even though Dr. Chellis is nice, I’m not going to see a dentist that makes up problems just to try to convince me to spend more money whenever I’m at her office.

I have been going to this practice for the past 2 years. The office staff is very professional and nice. They assess what you need, call your insurance and have a quote ready for you when you leave from your cleaning appointment. Dr. Chellis does amazing work and everything that I have had done there has been perfect! I highly recommend Smile Secrets.

BEVERYCAREFULOFTHISPREDATORYDENTIST! My spouse went there to try to get a routine cleaning — they never even got there — they took xrays while trying to run our insurance and then stopped everything swearing we weren’t covered(when we were!). Then we got $ 400+ worth of bills for a damn x-ray and they refused to do anything to help. They never bothered to contact me(the person who provides the insurance) and instead sent it to some predatory collection agency. We have somewhat complicated insurance — dental through one company, health through another, vision through another. We provided them with both the dental and the health and they swore that we did not have coverage and started sending us hundreds of dollars in bills. I called them with the dental insurance company on the line and gave them the information to process the claim and they are still trying to tell me that it’s our fault and that they want more money! more more more! Just be careful. these people don’t seem to mind making a «clerical error» if it means you’ll be paying hundreds of dollars to them for literally nothing.
