Shoreline Community Acupuncture

I used to love this place. Respectfully quiet, inexpensive and helpful, but things have changed over the years, and I just can’t support this business anymore. Today the music was so loud I couldn’t even begin to relax. Therapists regularly either leave needles in me, draw blood, or forget I am there. The last time while I was on a bed, the therapist loudly told another client that «I can be loud, you are the last one here!» Pretty stressful to hear when you are face down with a back full of needles. Anyway, still cheap, so you will get what you pay for.

I’ve been coming there since they opened and they are just stellar. They’re kind, great at what they do, very attentive to what you need and just plain sweet! It’s helped my asthma so much. Can’t do better than to go there!

I started coming here right after my recent car accident in May 2015. I like what they represents — the community. They provide affordable service for individuals with debilitating injuries to receive treatment and low payments. I think that is such an awesome idea and well thought of outreach for Shoreline.
Amy one of the therapist is an amazing Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist. Every time I leave here after treatment I feel relax and it has helped my next injury quite a bit.
As you can see they accepts insurance auto injury claims as well as private sessions.
I wholeheartedly recommend Shoreline Community Acupuncture.

I went there this week for headaches. I saw Amy whom I had also seen for massage last year. She is good at both massages and acupuncture. This is the first time I tried community acupuncture and it was a good experience; peaceful, relaxing and healing.
I love the fact that I can just do walk in and not make an appointment. This means that I can go there right away instead of waiting for an appointment. I love this flexibility.
I am definitely planning to go back and highly recommend this place. Community acupuncture is a great concept and my headaches are gone!

Still loving this place, though I don’t get here as often as I used to. The new (ish) owners Sara and Amy are fantastic and super knowledgeable. They offer a table treatment add-​on ($ 10) called Guasha that is great for loosening up tight bundles of unhappy muscles. They both have a very calm and comforting presence. The space is mostly the same as before, a bit chilly for me sometimes but there are plenty of blankets and heaters around if you run cold. Overall it is cozy and welcoming, and a great place to go to get relief for all kinds of ailments.

I love this place! There is a deeply relaxing feeling even though other people are getting treatments in the same room. The recliners are comfy and the music is just at the right volume so I can just sink into feeling good.
Sara has been my Chinese medicine practitioner since 2001. She brought me through a major challenge then and now I see both Sara and Amy. I’m excited about their focus on the community aspect of healing and their belief that medicine should be affordable for everyone.

Efficient, nice, caring, and effective! I easily booked an appointment online, showed up and was well taken care of! It’s «community acupuncture» which means you share the space with other patients… it doesn’t bother me at all! I will definitely be coming back!

Sara and Amy are phenomenal and there is not much else I can scream from the rooftops about them! The host a quiet and peaceful environment, and I have walked out in decreased pain both times I have gone. I have been so relaxed, in fact, that I fell asleep during both of my sessions!
Both women are kind and considerate; if I am cold, they provide blankets. Today during my session, Amy recommended I go eat phở and get warmed up.
I will be continuing my drive from Kirkland to Seattle to receive acupuncture from them; they’re fabulous in their work!

I’ve been to Shoreline Community Acupuncture four times so far and can’t wait to go back. The first time was easy in that I brought $ 15 (to 40) plus $ 10 for the one-​time only paperwork processing fee, which is more than reasonable. I have seen Bruce each time so far as it works out in my schedule when he is there. The first time for intake was nice in that I was in the waiting area and Bruce went over my paperwork and asked questions about what was going on. He is very friendly, has a bright and happy personality, and is a compassionate man. I always feel better after an acupuncture treatment with him. He also makes me smile and laugh, which is both needed and appreciated. You can schedule online, which is very nice and easy to do!
The community environment is actually better for me than receiving acupuncture at a doctor’s office. Shoreline Community Acupuncture has a water fountain, nice ambient music, and enough privacy for a check-​in with an acupuncturist.
While getting acupuncture with my doctor (when I have insurance) in her office is more private I always think there is an energy and blessing for people coming together corporately for healing. There is peace at Shoreline Community Acupuncture (even with the people who snore). Just be yourself and do what you need to do for your healing! There are two areas of recliners: find the one you like and get ready for acu-​bliss! When you’re finished you’ll be so relaxed you may need to sit in your car before getting ready to drive home.
I’ve had community acupuncture 19 years ago at two different clinics. Those clinics no longer exist. Shoreline was my first community acupuncture experience since those others that used to be in Seattle. However, Seattle has multiple choices now for those seeking community acupuncture. I prefer Shoreline since I drive from Kirkland around the lake and don’t have to pay the freakin’ toll over 520.

Summer and Mary are magic!

I’ll be back. I went in for the first time today and was very impressed. The payment is sliding scale, which is great. Mary went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable. I tend to pass out and she dug through her own lunch to get me a snack, which was above and beyond what she needed to do. I went in for my rheumatoid arthritis which was flaring really bad, and it is on the decline. So it worked too. Good experience, good outcome.

This was my first session at a community acupuncture clinic. Thanks to Jennifer the nagging pain in my shoulder that had been bothering me for a couple of days was gone by the time I left. (Neither muscle relaxers nor alleve had been any help previously.) The services are provided on a sliding scale and are very affordable.
The space itself is relaxing with calming music playing. The recliners are comfy and blankets are available for those who like to be a bit warmer. Make sure to bring headphones or earplugs if snoring sleepers would bother you. I’ll also be bringing an eye mask the next time I come, as I like it to be very dark when relaxing.
