My bf and I were craving some teriyaki. His usual spot was closed so we decided to go somewhere else it was my first time here. In my head I was thinking where tf is he taking me. Anyways. It’s a little low key shop without him I probably wouldn’t have gone it. Ain’t gonna lie. We came in there and they haven’t been opened for too long. My bf got the spicy chicken and I had the beef spare ribs. We sat down and got complimentary soup, usually complimentary soup isn’t very good but their soup tasted delicious especially because I’ve been feeling under the weather. Their service was great, the lady was always attentive to us and extremely sweet. Kind of reminded me of my mom. The food was flavorful I don’t ever eat spicy chicken but I tried some of my bfs and it was actually good. I would definitely come back here again!

Tried to call and order to go and had the strangest experience. Spent about 10 minutes on the phone talking to 3 different people. All asking the same questions each time they passed off the phone, and you could hear them talking to one another loudly in the background. They tried to ask what I ordered last time, but I’ve never ordered before. Then they told me I should order online. This made no sense. I did not end up making an order.

Delicious, savory, and plain good teriyaki. Great customer service. Asked for extra chicken and didn’t feel I got the correct portion. After destroying it, my meal that is, in the car I immediately went back for questioning and received my food with a smile. I didn’t finish the rest of the chicken because I want to save it its so good. Come by and enjoy your meal

I’m not going to preface or give the little introduction before my review of who I am or what political party I support… Going to cut right to the chase: Simply put, I LOVETHISPLACE. They’re consistent, they have generous proportions, their delivery time and service should win the Nobel peace prize, and I’m always satisfied with what I try. I’ve ordered delivery from here probably… 5 – 6 times now and each time I tried something different. Each thing I’ve had was unique in its own way and definitely had me saying«WOW» for how good it was. This place has it nailed down– whoever is in charge, I want to get your name tattoo’d. I have confidence that I can try new items and revisit old ones with great expectations. I feel compelled to write this review because I saw another review on here that rated them low because they used styrofoam containers. Um. What? First, I have yet to see styrofoam in my order(not saying the reviewer was lying, but know that that’s not true at least anymore). Now the business is stuck with a rating that brings down their average for nonsense like that. Second, it’s really unfair to rate a food item based on the container is was served in. It’s complete nonsense and I’m going to try and get that review removed since nobody wants to read that Seattle banned styrofoam. When I come on Unilocal,I look for food reviews and the overall satisfaction it brought others; not if they use styrofoam… Completely irrelevant. Here’s to hoping this business gets the good review and recognition it deserves :)

Solid spicy chicken teriyaki. I live minutes from this one and never think to order from them. With the Eat24 app, it’s super easy to order from home and then pick it up. The chicken teriyaki has a bit of the charred goodness that indicates good teriyaki. The salad is about as memorable as it is at any joint, and the steamed broccoli was about what you would expect. Good neighborhood joint.

my phone doesnt work so i was chatting with the customer service on eat 24 to ask if the driver closed by, lets me know so i could wait downstairs. im writing this to eat 24 customer service and the driver knocked the door and yelled at me that my phone doesnt work and complained me and bla bla bla. its really rude and mean voice. I told him that I’m trying to know when the driver closed by so you don’t have to wait for me, but your yelling to me, the way you are screaming at me now is ridiculous. He stopped and started over again, yelling, screaming and complaining me I hv been ordering from here a lot but the other drivers understood my situation but this driver is extremely rude, mean to yell, scream and shout to me If I wasn’t starving and lazy to cook, I would tell him to take the order back to restaurant . You need to remember that I’m your customer, not your kid so don’t treat me rudely like that. Plus you make one customer unhappy then the whole world ll know

Updated review as the owners were kind enough to contact me about a bad experience. Good customer service is hard to find these days. Fast delivery times and friendly people.

This is my go-to place for quick and omg I don’t feel like leaving the apartment Chinese food. I typically get general tao’s chicken and usually accompany it with an extra salad instead of rice or noodles and I add on egg rolls, even though they have pork inside. I keep ordering them in hopes one day they’ll just be cabbage and carrots instead. Also, no duck sauce for the rolls, but the sweet and sour is a suitable substitute. I’ve tried other dishes like kung pao chicken, the teriyaki chicken, udon yakisoba — all great and you can’t go wrong with any of it. Portions are also fairly generous. I ALWAYS get my delivery within 30 mins of ordering and I’ve ordered around 7 pm on Saturday nights. I wouldn’t bother adding«make it spicy» to one of your dishes for $ 1 because it never comes out spicy lol.

This has been my go to place for Teriyaki delivery. Spicy Chicken Teriyaki and Gyoza are consistently delicious. Onion rings are perfect every time. I withhold a perfect score because the business has gone back to using banned EPS clam shell Styrofoam containers for some dishes and full plastic silverware. Teriyaki comes also in a plastic container, but is easily recycled into use for other things at home. They use plastic bags as well — this may be necessary as the food is hot and wood tear a paper bag. It’s not ok. Go ahead and charge me more if you have too, but we banned plastic and styrofoam for good reasons. Just because you haven’t been caught does not make it right. Good bye for now Shodai — I will miss you.

Awful. The gyoza were decent but the ramen was a disgusting mess with overcooked packet noodles and a few tablespoons of broth.

Ordered from Eat24. An hour and a half later, my food was marked as «arrived», which was strange, because we were still in my apartment, hungry. I called them. The guy took about 5 minutes to ask what my name was and what I was calling about as he was talking to someone else. I told him what happened and he just said«Do you want a refund [it really felt like he wanted me to choose this option] or do you want me to make it, which will take about half an hour?» As we were starving, I chose the later option as we were starving. A bit more than half an hour later, we got our food. We ordered stir-fried chicken with vegetables and the spicy chicken teriyaki, which was highly recommended. The stir-friend chicken was 2/3’s white rice and the stir-fry itself was utterly flavorless. The spicy chicken teriyaki was better, pretty spicy, but again, 1⁄3 meat, 1⁄3 rice, and 1⁄3 gross salad. Never ever again. Another insult was that I pre-tipped, which I usually do on Eat24 because I don’t carry cash. I need to rethink that policy.

My husband and I got a beef/chicken combo plate to split as an afternoon snack just to try the place out. I loved the chicken, he loved the beef. Salad and rice were good as well. I’d love to try more teriyaki in Seattle from other places when I return.

Excellent fried rice and excellent mongolian beef. Not like that other stuff that sits in a goopy pile that u usually get. It’s also not all onion and none of that rice/styrofoam filler. Very legit and fresh. Coming back soon.

I ordered through Eat24 app and they came within the promised time frame. The delivery guy was really nice!!! I ordered beef teriyaki and the shrimp and gyoza combo. They gave pretty good portions and the food had good flavors. The only thing that was disappointing was the rice. It was uncooked!!! I was so sad because I wasted so much rice. I would’ve gave it 4 stars if it wasn’t for the rice.

I come here at least once a week for their Chicken Teriyaki, very good, reasonable pricing, and big portions. Be nice if they rotate their specials daily though, it has been Ramen for the past 2 months.

The food here is quite good flavor wise, not greasy, not overly sweet sauce. I’d like to give higher ratings, but the portion sizes for the price paid were very small compared to other teriyaki stops in the city. I do appreciate that they deliver to my work, they took care to listen to my dietary needs and accommodated my request for extra salad rather than rice with my meal. I also ordered a side of steamed broccoli– I know most ordinary people may not be excited at the prospect of broccoli on a menu as I am, but when you low carb, you are constantly looking for veggie filled substitutions. The disappointing part of the broccoli was it was ice cold by the time it was delivered to me. Although the miso soup was nice and hot. Delivery was free with a 15 dollar min order through eat24. I would order from them again, however I will be more aware of the portion size and not order unless one of my coworkers is splitting the bill. Doesn’t seem worth the minimum order to me to order an entrée with a higher price, when you don’t get much meat, and they use lettuce as a filler to present the meat on top of to make it look more full. I know that most teriyaki places give you way too much food, but it was a great surprise to me to recieve such meager portions. Overall if you are looking for teriyaki that won’t leave you disgustingly overly full, Shodai fits the bill.

Shodai is the hotness. Fast, Cheap, Friendly. Like any best in breed temple of teriyaki, Shodai will not win any awards for architecture, ambiance or artwork. They do however make some very good food that is reasonably priced! So far I’ve had the chicken teriyaki with brown rice and the gyozo but according to other reviewers they have some darn fine yakisoba. You can call ahead if you want to order to go or just have your food waiting for you when you arrive. Takes about ten minutes or less to get your food. They also have a piano inside which is somewhere between awesome and endearing… Tickle the ivories whilst waiting for your food. YumYum in TumTum
