Seaview Boatyard

We recently brought our boat in for a power washing and saildrive paint job. We have used CSR Marine boat yard numerous times and have always liked them. But going through the locks to get to CSR is not a fun experience so we thought we would give Seaview a shot since they are easily accessed from the Puget Sound, in Shilshoal Marina. The word on the water is that Seaview is a solid boat yard.
Seaview is a smaller facility but they make up for it with great customer service. Roland, who runs the yard, is everywhere. He works hard. His yard employees are knowledgeable and very nice. The lift operator is top notch. They did a great job in power washing the boat and the saildrive looks perfect. The folks in the office also very nice. It was a great experience. I highly recommend this yard.
I have always noticed that boat yards always have a distinct personality, both good and bad. This yard has a very positive feel about it.
Important facts
— sailboats must remove the head sail if it is on a roller, we had to scramble a bit getting this done as we arrived. They should put a sign on the travel lift
— Their 55 ton lift was «just» wide enough to accommodate our 14.5 foot beam, max beam is likely around 16 feet.

I had my sailboat hauled and bottom painted. The pricing was as described on the website and actually wound up being a heck of a deal when you figure in the boat show special.
The job was excellent, and they were super helpful about me working on the boat while she was on the hard. Ethan was awesome, he happily took time to look at some maintenance and repair spots and give me advice and opinions. The yard is clean and safe with surprisingly nice bathrooms, and the crew are friendly and professional.
I had been kind of worried when reading the other reviews, but from my experience I can recommend Seaview Boatyard.

After taking in my boat to Seaview was not really happy with customer service. They removed some items I specifically wanted back and were never returned. They try to do the «Upsell» as well. They don’t have time to sit and go thru things with you as well. Won’t be back…
Update: Did get my antenna back… they told me 1. Oh we threw it out.2. Oh it got mangled taking out. 3. We don’t have any of those type of antenna here!!!
Low and behold he said he found a similar one. just happened to be the exact one with my bracket they kept. Nothing mangled. Sorry. would not have minded if they did not have to lie 3 times to cover the first lie. Felt like an old used car dealer deal… Still will not go back!
