Seattle French Lessons

I’ve been going to Hadrien for almost 4 years and can’t say enough good things. He’s not only great with French (he is French) but he’s also an excellent teacher. He breaks things down so that it makes sense and provides lessons to drill on those specific areas. He takes what he does seriously. I highly recommend Hadrien as a French teacher/​tutor. He is the best!

My primary goal in taking lessons was to develop a good foundation in elementary French — a life long goal, plus I will be moving to France for graduate school. I took various French classes throughout high school and college, but I have never had a better teacher than Hadrien. All lessons are thoroughly set up and tailored to explain the various rules to each intricate part of the language, something you normally wouldn’t find in a regular textbook. Hadrien makes sure that all grammatical concepts are understood before moving on to the next lesson. If anyone is interested in learning French for fun, work, or school, you should consider lessons from Hadrien — most definately the best French teacher you could ever find.

My wife and I went to French lessons with Hadrien for 2 years. He is a wonderful, patient teacher and we looked forward to our lessons every week. The only reason we stopped our weekly French lesson was because we had a baby a few months ago — otherwise we would have continued. Hadrien has developed his own lesson plan and is very engaged and passionate about teaching. He appreciates challenging questions about grammar and is able to answer them in a way that makes sense, as he is fluent in both French and English. We have traveled to France multiple times since starting lessons with him and our French has improved significantly during this time. We are very comfortable traveling there now. I highly recommend Hadrien — his lessons are fun and high-​yield for French students at any level.

I took French lessons once a week for almost a year with Hadrien. He is an excellent French teacher /​tutor. Unfortunately I had to stop my lessons due to work priorities but when I continue again I will definitely contact Hadrien. Apart from the usual grammar lessons, he taught me phrases that are not in French text books (colloquialisms, slang, cultural references). He is completely bilingual in English and French so he can translate expertly. I was frankly amazed and impressed by his ability to clearly explain the nuances of every word. One of the reasons I selected Hadrien as my teacher was the fact that he is from Paris. His accent is Parisian and I wanted to learn how to pronounce the Parisian way, or at least the way French is pronounced in France. I have had lessons with French speakers from Quebec and parts of Africa and certainly the regional differences in accent are audible.
During the time I had tutoring with Hadrien I was also taking a class at the Alliance Française. I found my one-​on-​one time with Hadrien extremely helpful as I had the opportunity to clarify things I learned in class, or expand upon some grammar rule or another.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced French student, you can definitely benefit from sessions with Hadrien. Bonne chance!

I have been going to Hadrien for a couple of years now and I think he is a fantastic tutor. One of the nice things about Hadrien is that he is always innovating the lessons and his plans to teach his students. Nothing ever feels as if he is just coasting or doing it by rote. He is also very accommodating in scheduling and doing the lessons. I can’t recommend him strongly enough for anyone who wants to learn French.
