Sean Patrick Hatt, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and executive coach in private practice. As an Executive Coach, he is also trainer at the Awake at Work Institute, which offers a Mindfulness Based Approach to Awaken Creative Genius in the Workplace. (See awakeatworkinstitute.com and soundstrue.com for more information)
A student and practitioner of Buddhist meditation since 2001, he blends Buddhist psychology, philosophy and practice with humanistic, existential and psychodynamic healing traditions, alongside what may best be described as therapeutically operationalized social-neuroscience: a theoretical orientation known as CIMBS or Complex Integration of Multiple Brain Systems.
In addition to practicing meditation in the Tibetan and Zen Buddhist traditions, Sean is also a trained psycho-spiritual facilitator in the non-sectarian, non-dual wisdom teachings developed by Peter Fenner, Ph.D.
Sean began his career as a commissioned officer in the Army Medical Service Corps serving in Europe, Africa and the Continental United States. Upon completing military service, he was a regional operations manager in the for-profit healthcare sector, and later, had successful leadership, organizational development and marketing consulting practices, where he served clients ranging from start-up technology companies, food retailers and boutique wineries to Fortune 100 companies and national non-profit organizations.

Doctor Sean H.
Business Owner
Before coming home to Seattle in 2010, I worked in a variety of clinical settings, including long term residential treatment for substance abuse and trauma, a private university counseling center, and a Silicon Valley private practice. I also taught personality theory, research methods and psychopathology and diagnosis to Counseling Psychology graduate students at Santa Clara University.
I hold a BA degree in English and Military Science from the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!), an MA degree in Leadership and Organizational Development from Bastyr University (Leadership Institute of Seattle), and MA and Ph.D. degrees in clinical psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California.
I also have formal training in Buddhist meditative practices (and am published by the Oxford University Press on the subject), as well as post-doctoral training in Non-Dual Psychotherapy and Psychosocial Oncology.
