Cheap beers as low as $ 2 regular price! The BBQ is actually quite good, I’m a pulled pork fan and they don’t disappoint. It’s pretty calm during the weekdays but there is an out door space that over flows in the summer months. And football on the TV in the fall.

Overall coming here was a decent experience, but I did have two gripes. First, it took too long for the waitress/bartender to notice me. This was likely due to my being the first of any kind of dinner crowd that day and the only other person in the place besides a few people at the bar and a couple outside. My other gripe is that while my burger was very good and the«build your own» concept is great, having some pre-made, specifically arranged burger options might be a good idea.

This place is weird. I like it. Nice folks and decent food. Extra points for giving an off the path location a go. It’s a laid back treat.

You ever wish you could just hit rewind? Get your money back. Stop from walking into a place you«THINK» is going to be tasty ? Maybe wonder if you just ordered something else it might have been good Yeah me too, about the –13th minute of the waitress ignoring us after we came in. In her defense she did have three old guys drinking at the bar. The food This place hits the runway in flames

I enjoy going here on Saturdays because Rachel has a charming and engaging personality with all the customers. She actually makes it a pleasure to go & relax, enjoy a few drinks and eat the food. A pleasant atmosphere. She has a good working relationship with many of the regular customers, knowing each customers preferred drinks and foods. She takes the time to engage all the different customers as opposed to only her preferred customers or personal friends. She is always open to suggest new drinks when asked as well as the best food being prepared for the day . When Rachel’s not working my girlfriend does not like to go there though. She feels that the atmosphere is more tense and less inviting. If Rachel or other people like her worked during the week then we would probably spend more time there.

First, let me start by saying that I used to love coming here. This was my favorite place to get a burger and a few beers with my boyfriend. We don’t get to go out to Georgetown very often, so much to our dismay, the last time we visited this establishment will indefinitely be our last time. My boyfriend and I were excited to bring my oldest friend to this restaurant– we had been ranting and raving about this place since we first discovered it in March 2014. We sat down and eagerly looked through the menu, even though we knew we’d be getting their burger. Unfortunately, the waitress was in some kind of hurry and quickly set our beers down and didn’t even give us a second to order our appetizer– we had to call her back over as soon as she left!(There was only one other small group of people in the establishment at this time.) After we ate our appetizer down, she came back and let us order our burgers and sides. We waited and drank our beers and talked. Our food came out at a decent time. But, our orders were completely messed up. My boyfriend ordered basically a BBQ burger with basic fixings with bacon and egg. He didn’t receive an egg nor bacon, NOR half of the other ingredients he ordered. His patty was dry and over cooked, and the buns looked greasy/wet and mashed down. His fries were drowned in salt, and rendered completely inedible. I had ordered something along the lines of a bleu cheese burger. It lacked cheese, the aioli was minimal, it had no onions unlike requested, and as before, the burger was completely overcooked and dry, and the buns were greasy/wet and mashed. I had also ordered Cole Slaw, which she repeated back to me earlier, but also brought me the salty disaster advertised as fries. My friend ordered a basic burger, but they had not provided him with ketchup, or mustard– his had bacon which had belonged on my boyfriend’s burger since my friend had not ordered bacon with his, and his burger, to no shock at all, was overcooked and dry. His French fries were, as ours were, swimming in a depressing amount of salt. The buns were also squashed and greasy/wet. After that was said and done, all I can say is that the food was terrible and the wait staff absolutely contributed to this negative experience. She did not come by our table except a total of 4 times(1-drop off beers, 2-had to call her back immediately as we tried to talk to her but she walked away before we could order our appetizer, 3– ordered our burgers from her, 4– and then she came by for our plates.) She also obviously didn’t pay very well attention to our orders OR the cook was incompetent. The only positive was that we had a few Pabst Blue Ribbons for cheap. I’m completely disappointed with my experience here, especially since I used to think very highly of this place. We will be taking our business elsewhere, and will not be recommending Runway Café to anyone in the future.

Had the club sandwich and a beer! The sandwich was excellent and toasted perfectly. It came with a side of potato salad which was also good. The runway has a couple pinball machines to play and a great overall vibe.

Very small place. Food decent. I was disappointed in the pulled pork sandwich — nothing to get too excited about. Roro’s MUCH better. Coleslaw was very good.

Ordered fish and chips. Service was quick and I felt very accommodated. The location was fun since you can watch the planes taking off and landing right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is a dive, which is my preference actually. I’m not one for fancy pants places. The décor will have you glancing around reading the signs and other things they have randomly on the walls and ceiling. I recommend this place!

Unique spot to enjoy a casual lunch and a pint. The food was ok; beer selection was small, but local(yay Georgetown!). Boys had typical kid fare(hot dog, grilled cheese), which was more than adequate to satisfy their tastebuds. On the adult side of things, we had the pulled pork, custom burger(bro liked it a lot), and something else that escapes my memory… The sides were seriously lacking. It tasted like the preparer had dead tastebuds — everything had WAY too much pepper. Now, granted, I love my fresh cracked black pepper, but this was crazy. It looked like there was sand all over the coleslaw and potato salad. I would suggest venturing a little further to Airport Way to Jules Mae or similar. Runway Café is interesting, but not outstanding.

I had the beef brisket and all I can say is OHMYGOD! It was good, hands down. The atmosphere was very chill in the staff were amazingly friendly. You must try this place.

Fun view of the airplanes and located in the awesome Georgetown area. I highly recommend everyone go check this little place out at least once. After that? Bring all your visiting friends and family for the rare experience of dining at the end of an actual airport runway. My only wish is that they had better hours and more vegetarian options.

We stopped by for lunch in the middle of the week. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with fries and baked beans. The spicy chicken wasn’t bad. The baked beans were fine, just a bit too heavy for my taste. But the fries were disappointing. They were a leftover batch previously deep-fried and then re-fried to «freshen» them up a bit. In hindsight, I should have said something to our waitress but I didn’t think to at the time. 2 things I liked about Runway Café: –Our waitress was friendly and attentive. –We sat by the window, front row seats to watch the planes land at Boeing Field. My 3 year-old loved it! I think I’ll give this place another try, because it seems like I’m the only one who gave anything less than a 4-star review!

This is a fun, cool space in Georgetown, directly across from the field. It’s in a converted house, the décor is «funky» and«whimsical» and«offbeat.» They have a pretty big menu. One of the items on that menu is fried zucchini. They also have a lot of sandwiches and hot dogs and a fair amount of vegetarian items. The food came out pretty quickly, and dear god was everything hot. I had mouth blisters at the end of the day. The hot dog was more gourmet than ball park, and our attempts at creating something resembling a Chicago Dog were not that successful. But it was still delicious. My friend had the fish and chips and she seemed to like it quite a bit. She also commented on the baked beans and said they were pretty good eats. They have a full bar and a good beer selection. The service was good. We liked our server-person quite a bit. Definitely will come back.

This little dive of a place is in a fun location you can watch the planes land/depart at Boeing Field. The burger I had with a double side of fries was delicious, you could chose your own toppings, sauce, and cheese. A few minutes after I ordered my waitress came back and let me know the mushrooms weren’t looking too fresh so the cook didn’t want to use them, and did I want a different topping. I was happy that they didn’t put sub-par mushrooms on my burger that was awesome of them! The double side of fries ended up being way to much for me(you can choose two sides and I didn’t want any of the other choices). I only wish they had a vegetable as an option. So go check them out it’s a great place to grab a good burger and a beer.

Good food, good service with the bonus of watching Boeing Field operations. Pulled pork sandwich is outstanding, and the home style cole slaw is some of the best in the area.

This place kind of takes you by surprise. It seems like a hole in the wall bar when you drive up to it at night and it seems a bit empty… but hey, it’s the day after Christmas. I was expecting to be pleasantly surprised since the previous reviews were so positive. The hubby and I, out sans kiddos for once, ordered the burgers that you choose everything yourself. The choices and combinations were a bit overwhelminf because there was so much! You had the choice of 10 or more sauces! I think I was overthinking and ordered a sirloin burger with garlic aioli sauce, pepperocini, spinach and grilled mushrooms. My husband was smart to order the sauce on the side because my burger had a little to much conflicting flavors but that is my own fault. The fries were yummy but since I’m not a baked beans kind of person, I picked the mac salad as my other side. The mac salad wasn’t my cup of tea so I barely ate it. The hubs really liked the beans, though. The server was very attentive and even on a slow night, not too attentive. The food came out pretty quickly. It is directly at the end of the runway which ties nicely to the whole theme of the place. Even the menu is organized to the airline theme. We are definitely coming back again. I think it’s officially a Tavern so I’m not sure if we can bring the kiddos but perfect place for a casual date. ;)

Don’t come for the view. But stay for the food and casino club/neon lighting! My first visit had highlights and lowlights, which is why I held off on reviewing. I had to re-visit for the highlights and report back! The first time, I had an odd experience. The service was friendly, but all the food for my table came out wrong for us EXCEPT the custom chicken burger I made. This place has the best burger-building options around. You know why? $ 10.95 gets you unlimited toppings on the a chicken or beef burger PLUS two sides, that include a choice of their ridiculously good fries, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw(still too leery to try the coleslaw after the first time I had it. I hope it was an off-day when I tried it). Before your eyes get too big for your stomach, try to limit the toppings on the burger. I have heard that people try to order all the toppings, either on the burger or ordering them on the side. Don’t be THAT guy/girl. This unlimited build-a-burger is for people to order what they like, not to make you the burger Scrooge. I order a chicken burger on their soft, dense bakery bun with chicken, cheddar, sauteed mushrooms, sauteed onions, jalapenos, spinach, garlic aioli, tomato, and a FRIEDEGG. I’ve never ever ever ever ever had this combination of things together before in my life, but I’ve ordered it 3x now and can’t seem to get away from it. If this doesn’t sound appealing to you, don’t worry, they offer toppings like lettuce, different cheeses, pineapple, pepperocinis and much more. I really like this place a lot. Good service and strong drinks!

Came in during the week and ordered the BBQ pulled pork — it was nicely spiced so that it had a bit of heat, but it balanced well with the sweetness. Overall it was well sauced so it got pretty messy. The fries weren’t crisp but I like them that way, but they were well salted and cut thick. The service was fine — we mostly picked up food for a work lunch
