Tactless handling of weight issues made child’s self-esteem crumble and contributed to problems instead of assisting in working toward healthy lifestyle.

I believe I can confirm Sara R’s experience and I have a friend who tells much the same story. I was with Dr. Rosen for several years and, while I cannot prove this, I have a strong feeling that he plays games with the insurance coding that allows him to double-dip on the billing. For the patient, this can cause problems with the insurance company. The office staff is highly skilled at patient stonewalling as Sara R states. I also believe he manufactures bogus reasons for office visits. He asks patients to come in days prior to a physical for a blood draw. An unnecessary visit, IMO and I have refused. They can draw blood at the physical and call with results. On at least two occasions I’ve received a call saying my results worried the doctor and I am asked to come in for another blood draw. Following the second visit and lab work(this time not covered by insurance) I get a call saying, never mind, no problem everything is fine. And I’m left with the feeling my pocket has been picked. This happened the last 2 consecutive years. Your mileage may vary but I can’t shake the feeling there is something wrong with this picture. I’m getting a new doc!

A visit with Dr. Rosen(chosen because he was local and covered by Premera Blue Cross) ended up being one of the biggest medical mistakes. Distracted and unthorough, Dr. Rosen took incomplete notes during a check up which resulted in insurance not paying for the visit. Given an opportunity to correct the problem, he and the office refused. I will not be seeing Dr. Rosen again for any issues and would advise patients that if they do see him, pay attention to his office notes/your chart.
