Best dentist I have ever had. No pain, no anxiety. He has done bridge work, root canals, as well as minor cavity fillings on me. I find he is an excellent communicator.

So I’m one of those apparently rare people how would prefer having my teeth drilled without Novocain. (I hate Novocain!)
I read the reviews Stark got and I’m quite surprised — he was gentle and thorough — my mouth feels great with the new bridge.

Dr. Stark is a hellish dentist.
He didn’t take me seriously when it counted, when drilling cavities and on two root canals, because he disregarded my protests and tears of pain. He was a very painful anesthetist, and I now have to go get my «root canal» redone (not by him!!)
On two occasions, he didn’t use gloves so he could hold his tools.
He was not considerate, not thorough, messy, clumsy, hasty, and he has HUGE fingers.
If you are sensitive to dental pain, find another dentist. This guy won’t take you at your word.

I was very discouraged when I saw Dr. Stark. He kept telling me about all the cavities I had etc. I was sitting in his chair when I over heard him and his secretary saying how he had bought out this dentist who had retired and what a gold mine they had in all his old patients, I went t o another dentist NO CAVITIES.

HIGHLY recommend Dr. Stark and his team! He’s quick, efficient and gets the job done without the lecture about flossing and wasting time! His dental hygienist, Jill (who only works on Fridays) is amazing. From his front desk to his assistants and dental hygienist, it’s easy, low stress and worth the drive to U-​village.
I have and will continue to recommend them for any dental work. For me, they earn 5 stars for quality, personality, efficiency and down-​to-​earth likability.

He did the same thing to me! I went in to have a temporary filling replaced and left with 2 root canals! He didn’t even once let me know what he was doing. I left there in tears.

I have been going to Dr. Stark for 30 years. He has always been great and the dental hygienist is very good. Dr. Stark did a root canal for me, and I had literally no pain. I felt sorry for some of my co-​workers who went through hell with root canals, as I had no problem at all. I also brought my 83 year old father in to see Dr. Stark when another dentist tried to gouge us with huge bills for dad’s neglected teeth. Dr. Stark was very helpful, explained what dad needed and didn’t need and charged us much less than the first dentist. I left Dr. Stark once for a dentist closer to my house, but I went back after one visit to the other dentist, the guy almost sent me through the roof with a painful filling.

I got the feeling that he should have retired some time ago. He is pleasant but his hands were clumsy while working in my mouth. He appeared to get frustrated while working with me and his assistants were inconsistently friendly.
I am looking for a new dentist!

I really liked him up until the point he performed a root canal that could have waited and forgot to mention it would cost me more money than I could afford. When I tried to talk to him about my concerns he basically kept defending himself and never apologized for not explaining what he was doing before he did it. Even his receptionist was rude! She basically threatened me and treated me like a second class citizen. She told me that the insurance I have (that I have through SCHOOL because I’m a poor college student!) gives me a discount already and that I would be lucky to find someone else to finish my root canal since most dentists don’t perform them and send their clients to specialists. The only nice person in that office was the dental assistant. Dr. Stark is a really nice guy until he screws you over and tries to tell you it was for your own good. I had no pain in that tooth! I wasn’t having any major problems, I came in for a check up and left with a hole in my mouth. I now have a temporary filling that is starting to bother me and I have a huge amount of money to save in order to have this procedure finished because I don’t feel comfortable going back to this office. Very disappointing experience overall… obviously.
