Great little tea place for tea enthusiasts. Came here with my girlfriends for the afternoon tea service and we were just in awe by their large (and I mean LARGE) selection of teas. My friends and I had trouble picking out our teas, but the staff were so nice and patient in helping us pick out the teas that we wanted. The teas were great; they had such a large variety and selection from plain old matcha green tea to fruity floral teas.
Their large tea service feeds about 2 – 4 people and is about $ 30. You get 2 pots of tea, 4 pastries, 3 chocolates, and ⁴⁄₅ little tea cookies. It definitely fed the four of us, but there was not a lot of variety on the pastries and chocolates. This is more of a tea shop than anything else. The place is small and good for those who want to get away and study — it felt awkward for my friends and I being the only ones in there talking so we just drank our teas and went on our way to catch up. They do have tables outside but was not large enough for a group of four. Otherwise, good little tea place for tea enthusiasts.

4.5-Star to 3-​Star:
One day the place is predictably open until 11pm daily… then it’s 7pm… just like that… no warning… no explanation…
I patronized this business for years, both as a place to hang out with friends, dates, family and colleagues and as a purveyor of good-​quality bulk tea and tea-​making accessories.
A mostly-​satisfied customer then, I still couldn’t help noticing that routinely shelling out over $ 100 per order wouldn’t yield any special recognition… no, not even a lump a coal…
Perhaps a «Thank You» or a free sample or .0001 extra gram of bulk tea? Think again.
I took solace in the knowledge that free-​loaders camping there all day would receive the same perfectly tepid treatment.
Fortunately, it is becoming really easy to find an ever-​growing variety of excellent teas, both online and at other brick-​and-​mortar places.
Laziness, Scroogery and self-​complacency made for a bitter infusion… but I am now cured of Remedy Teas.

Love this place — relaxing environment, delicious tea definitely a favorite new spot for me !

Good and big choice of teas. I took the digestive which was really perfect for my delicate belly and I bought two other ones I can’t wait to try: crème brûlée and rose cherry

Fell in love with their Rescue tea blend today. I’ve been fighting a particularly nasty cough and my throat was killing me. Unilocal brought me to Remedy and I’m so glad. They offer so many different blends and types of tea, no matter what you’re craving there seems to be something for everyone. I just may have to stop by again before we go back to Portland.

Great prices for a pots of teas which you can easily share with others. They also have a huge variety of teas 120+ that are all flavorful and delicious. There is a food menu that is not very big and in addition there are desserts for all diets (vegan, gluten free etc)
Red satin is delicious red cinnamon tea that is velvety and lightly sweet. Their green tea is pretty on point as well and desserts are all pretty good here!
I recommend coming to study, with friends or even for a date. Its pretty spacious here with modern designs and bright colors. Somewhat feels like a place to do yoga or something.

Remedy Teas is my go to writing spot for the last several years. Afternoons can be crowded but mornings are usually super chill here. 150 varieties of tea you know about, and there’s a fairly new (2016) program offering special ‘reserve teas’ in small batches. There are a number of tiny tea party portions of food available, but this is not a place to have lunch as the more substantial food was taken off the menu in order to streamline costs and keep up with the minimum wage requirements. The new owner has also upgraded/​replaced some of the furnishings — ceramic tea pots, new tables. If you found the old chairs uncomfy, I think you’re still waiting.
If you want high tea, head to Queen Mary. This is a place to have a long heart to heart with a friend or to plug yourself into your laptop and get sh*t done. They also sell their teas in bulk, along with a variety of snazzy looking tea accessories.

What bad thing could there be to say about a place that offers loads of tea, wifi and adorable little sandwiches, EVEN cucumber+cream cheese ones I’ve done the «half and half» treatment with when sitting here lazily (half cukes half PB&J or whatever else I got the times I ate there)… well, the teas aren’t necessarily the most amazing QUALITY, but they have variety down pat, and the test tubes to shake up and sniff are ingenious. There isn’t a whole lot of room for the amount of business they get, and some people do seem to stay an AWFULLY long time (like I’ll be there eating soup and sandwiches and drinking through 2 pots of tea for an hour and the people who were done with their stuff before I came are there the whole hour not ordering anything else, which for me is a sort of rule – I’m leasing the space with food and drink purchases, not buying $ 4 of whatever and just lounging for hours while customers struggle to find seats and ultimately walk out)…
In any case, I started this review literal years ago – Unilocal says I last modified its few words at the time in 2011 – and this cute spot still has a warm little dot of space in my heart. The only way I could improve on it would be have (maybe) a dozen or so higher tier teas (this being said by someone with access to over 700 of them from my hometown purveyor, some of them, like Metropolitan Tea Co, about like the stuff here – not great not awful – some outright wowing), have a couple of separate sitting rooms – double the space with the kitchen staff able to monitor the other half so to speak – who doesn’t want open kitchen viewing, even if it’s soup+sandwiches?, and if possible make wifi access time out after however much time… I’ve been to places (granted, not in Seattle) where you essentially get a code on your receipt that allows surfing for however much time the place allows with your particular purchase amount. OBVIOUSLY if someone buys $ 50 of stuff for 3 or 4 people, they get more wifi credit, but then again, the people coming in groups aren’t usually there just to hog the wifi because their neighbor’s stolen wifi is turned off. (I don’t care if the place is dead, which has not been the case any of my trips here… but when people can’t find seating, move along and buy your next wifi rental session.)
Anyway, solid 4* since I first came in 2006 or 2007 (at the time, tea houses outside the ID were really sparse so it had even more appreciation from me)… the tea quality and lack of sufficient sitting space are where it gets dinged – just like places like Paseo get dinged for not, when they are crazy successful, expanding beyond a shack, yeah, Remedy is nowhere near that tiny but I’m not thrilled with having to call and ASK if they’re busy/​if there’s room for ppl to sit before heading somewhere considering I avoid peak traffic times as a rule!

WOW what a tea selection. I will be back if only for the fun of choosing from the huge menu!
We went on a Saturday, so it was quite busy. No places to sit, so we sat outside. Would be okay if the weather wasn’t so unpredictable. The tea was great (we got «Love Buds») but I wish there was more seating inside so we could have comfortably taken advantage of the free refill. Even without the refill though, it was still a bargain — $ 4 for a pot that gave us each about 3 cups. No complaints.
We also got 2 cookies — a molasses ginger cookie, and a double chocolate cookie. The molasses ginger cookie was great (fresh, warm), and the double chocolate was meh (cold, not moist). I will probably pass on the baked goods in the future.

There’s not enough great things I can say about this place. It’s a cozy café-​type shop in Cap Hill and they have a ton of teas to choose from (including matcha!), along with some great healthy food choices. There’s free wifi available here, making it one of my favorite places to sip on tea for a little caffeine jolt, have a light bite, and do some work.
As for teas, I would recommend taking some time to read through the extensive menu or simply asking for a recommendation depending on your preferences You definitely can’t go wrong! Their daily soups are always great too, and the quiche/​soup combo for $ 10 is a fantastic deal and you get a hearty portion.

The epitome of Seattle hipster tea time!:) This tea shop has over a hundred varieties of different tea ranging from bittersweet and spicy to subtle and cleansing.
All along the entrance are over hundreds of creatively displayed DIY teas leaves in test tubes you can open and take a whiff, hoping to find your perfect tea match! If you can’t bear to go through sniffing all of them, the employees would be more than happy to help! They were very attentive and offered me great choices along with samples of their tea! (who doesn’t love that?)
One of my favorite subtle teas would be the Guava White Tea. It’s not overly strong with a hint of sweetness and fruitiness from the tropical fruit!
Nice place to be if you’re meeting a friend for tea or want to feel fancy during tea time!

Less one star for the early closing hours. WHY? Evening was my favorite time to go! (I’m also amazed that they aren’t open earlier in the a.m. …)

I am a Tea enthusiast and this place was like heaven for me. 150 teas to choose from… But it looked like some were not available. I was overwhelmed by such a great selection but decided to get the Jasmine pearl. It was great! They also have some really great stickers. I bought one that says «Make tea not war!»
Everyone here is both polite and helpful and there is no attitude that you can sometimes find in other places. They don’t mind answering questions and make recommendations! I will definitely be back and can’t wait to try some more tea.

I reviewed Remedy forever ago, five stars, 100%. I finally moved to Seattle like I said I would, and I ended up moving about a block away, so the practically-​daily Remedy stops came true! My favorite part was that they were open so late, I could go after I got off work (at 8 or 9pm) and still hang out and have a pot of tea before I headed home. I am SO sad that they now close at 7pm. Remedy used to be such a perfect alternative to stopping at a bar after work.
Also, less sad than the new hours, but still super sad, they no longer have food, only pastries. They had, like, THE BEST veggie hummus sandwich around. I miss it so much! If I had known they were getting rid of the food I would have ordered it every day until they did. I don’t eat pastries, so Remedy is no longer a place I can go and hang out all day OR a place I can go after work. At least have some kind of option besides sweets. Even if they were like every other place in town and got Molly’s wraps… something… anything?
I still love the tea selection. Hopefully that will at least stay as diverse as it is.
I really hope they reconsider the food and the new hours.

I love how each tea has directions of how much caffeine is in the tea, what type of tea it is, and how long to steep. There are SO many flavors and variations of the expected. Love to visit whenever I’m in Seattle! One of my friends from Singapore tried their tea at our home and purchased more from Singapore!

I go here whenever I get the chance! It’s a great little hideaway on 15^th street with an amazing selection of teas and food. Their tea menu is so huge that I usually just end up asking for recommendations. They’ll even let you smell the teas to help decide.
I usually end up ordering a pot of tea and some delicious raisin nut bread with jam. They bring the tea out in a small pot and give you a timer so you know when it’s done steeping. I usually go for fruity green teas, but I’ve also tried some amazing yerba mate. The Pacemaker blend is my favorite. It has chilies so it tastes spicy and smooth all at once! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to spend an afternoon.

Went here once, and I fell in love immediately! I am an avid fan of teas! I favor black teas and green teas the most. My friend and I tried the vanilla sky (#59 of the 150 teas they offer!!!) and absolutely loved it.
The ambiance is definitely chill. I love the vibe! It’s great place for just chatting with a friend or getting some work done! The lime green color is just awesome and they sell tea products that they use as well as display all the fantastic teas!
Definitely coming back here to sample more teas. This place is just amazing.

One of the few reasons why I love Seattle! Tea shops are my favorite, and I have to say that this one trumps the tea shop I frequent. Too bad this place is so far from my apartment, otherwise I’d come here more often! They have a HUGE variety of teas, most of them being straight teas and blends, but you can always ask for milk on the side.
What I like about this place is that it’s a really bright shop and it doesn’t get too loud. It’s a great place to grab tea and catch up with a friend. It’s a pretty good place to study as well, that’s if you don’t need the outlet. They do have a bar area, which is the only place with outlets. They have tables, but it’s pretty limited. The good thing is that it doesn’t get too crowded.
The service here is also awesome, and they give you a little timer so you can steep your teas for the right amount of time. I was surprised at how much the workers here knew their teas. When I asked for a refill (you’re allowed 1 free refill/​pot), the worker just smelled the tea leaves from my pot and knew what kind of tea it was, which I thought was pretty amazing, considering how many teas they have.
I love this place and can’t wait to come back here to try out more teas~ Plus, their Pavina double-​walled cups are awesome :)

Over the 3 years I’ve lived in Capitol Hill, Remedy Teas continues to be, by far, my favorite café (and teashop!) to just sit, unwind or work productively. I love that I can pick any flavors of tea (out of their super expansive list) depending on my mood that time or day!
The staff is always nice, polite and kind. I actually haven’t visited Remedy Teas for the past 2 months and stopped by the store again today. I was actually surprised they replaced the cute little candles with wooden plates and the transparent tea kettles with the white ceramic tea kettles. I did ask the lady at the cashier and she said many glass kettles broke and, unfortunately, the store they go to no longer sells the transparent tea kettles that I love (and hence, they switched to wooden plates and ceramic kettles!). Aww… I feel sad because I really do like the previously cute charm of drinking tea with little candle lights.
Nothing about the great ambiance and the wide variety of quality tea at Remedy Teas has changed though. so I am still very happy with this lovely tea place!
