Description

Specialties

We specialize in safe yoga for those interested in developing flexibility, balance, strength, and clarity of mind. Our studio is small and beautiful w/no more than 10 students per/class. In addition to our general classes, we also feature Yoga for Chronic Conditions, Kids Yoga, meditation, and workshops. We have years of experience practicing and teaching. While we are not a power yoga studio, we promise you a balanced workout.

History

Established in 2008.

I wanted to open a small yoga studio where I could focus on yoga for the individual and not yoga for the masses. In my twenty-four years of practice, studios have gotten bigger and bigger and more expensive. I wanted to create a beautiful haven for practice and offer yoga that was affordable. I also wanted to focus on teaching yoga for those who are not natural gymnasts or those looking for yoga to take the place of their workouts.

Stacy A.

Business Owner

Stacy began practicing yoga in 1988 before it was a household word or a kind of clothing. She teaches with humor and warmth as she adapts the practice to the class or the student in front of her. Stacy earned her MA in adult education and has extensive experience teaching postures, yoga philosophy, yoga for deep relaxation, and therapeutic yoga (for those with cancer, AIDS, depression, anxiety, back pain, and chronic fatigue). She teaches and practices in the tradition of Krishnamacharya and studies with her teacher, Kate Holcomb, a student of Mr. TKV Desikachar.
