great place for a cup of joe to have with friends. nice inside, cozy and clean. not that fancy but cool.

Okay… My iced latte was mediocre. Nothing special. Had a donut exactly like what I purchase from like QFC or something. Also, okay nothing special. Staff wasn’t nice or welcoming but not rude either. Seemed a little on the expensive side given the quality of the product. I paid $ 7 with out a tip for the small plain donut and a 12oz iced latte.

THEY’RE NEVER OPEN practically. The business hours they have posted are extremely stingy and you can’t count on them even then. It’s disappointing because the coffee and service are so good…

Quaint little coffee shop on California, with a classic selection of coffee and tea. I got an iced coffee, and their selection of flavored syrup for addition to it was impressive! Ample seating, cozy atmosphere. In love with the local art hanging on the walls. And, if you’re in the mood to read, they’ve got a community library. Take a load off and enjoy your coffee :)

Delicious coffee, refreshingly polite and non-​condescending baristas. I wish they weren’t closed on weekends, but I say good for them if they don’t need to be open. They are very efficient both at the drive-​thru window and inside when I walk in. They also give me cookies when I bring my pup which I think is sweet :)

So glad I have found a place that does not serve watered down chai.
Red Cup is now my go-​to for chai with hemp milk. Smooth with the perfect balance of sweet & spicy.

I’ve been patronizing Red Cup for the last couple months and can confidently say that I have found my new go-​to coffee shop. It’s not fancy or ultra hip like other Seattle coffee shops, but the service is genuine and the coffee is tasty. The cold brew has been a summer favorite and quite possibly the best deal in Seattle ringing in at $ 1.75 for a 12 oz. Get yours!

Red Cup is a great café. The owners are a married couple who often work together or separately. They are super sweet and great with the micro conversations we all have while waiting for our coffee. They have consistently remembered my favorite drinks, even though I don’t go there everyday, which is a huge bonus for me.

I have not had great experiences with Red Cup but my wife absolutely loves them. I have gone there and they have messed up my order and the coffee was just OK; however, when my wife goes there and gets us both coffee, it is good. Maybe because she is cuter than me?!
They also get props for being a drive thru stand in West Seattle that gives at least another option to Starbucks.

Super sweet people and great coffee. Very cozy place too. Give them a try!

Served hot, quickly, by the friendly owner, it was DELICIOUS! I love creative drinks and this one didn’t disappoint.
I also loved seeing that they are closed on Sundays. As a small family owned business, its important to have family time and I love that old fashioned values are alive at REDCUP.
I’ll be a regular for sure!

Solid coffee house. I needed a place to sit and work for a few hours on Saturday morning. Wonderful and pleasant staff. . especially Mary. No hassles. Extraordinary view of the Sound.
Live flute music for part of the morning. Ended up eating lunch as well. Delicious gluten free black bean burrito — mango salsa was different and tasty.
Can be a bit busy but the line seemed to move quickly. Everyone here seems to enjoy hanging out and having a good time.
All in all, you’ll like the place. It’s got a great vibe.

It sure ain’t The BLUE Cup
Dropped in on a Saturday morn. Very nice and welcoming folk serving, not the typical indifferent corporate coffee culture.
Unfortunately the owner killed any buzz by droning on about how terrible the proposed minimum wage is, no one needs to make $ 15hr etc etc. Then went on about how proud she was that her husband and father had bonded at the gun range. Right-​wing whackjobs runneth over. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
Two stars only due to kindness of servers and free wifi.
Tired interior, fair coffee. Prolly stays alive on the drive-​through biz.

I’ve been going there religiously for the past 10 weeks (ever since I discovered it) and I was very happy. The staff was great when I first started going. I mean it takes time to get to know people right? Since discovering RC, I’ve already spent a couple of hundred dollars (my punchcard tells me so.). Sadly, like other posters have mentioned, the staff have had their rude moments too. Every single staff member, at one point or another, has been rude to me. Each one is entitled to a bad day right? Yet, when it’s more than once, I kinda tend to take the snarky comments personal. Their coffee is mediocre but their chai’s are excellent (reason for 2stars). So, i ask for extra pepper right? And they give me a hard time! Yes, I’ve asked for extra pepper more than once. Every time, they have something to say about it. «There’s a lot already in there.» «We put a lot of pepper in there already». C’MON, IT’S PEPPER! Umm, it’s a $ 6 drink. I think you can afford to put extra pepper. And what’s more, isn’t the whole purpose of going to your favorite coffee house to get the drink you like the way you like it the very reason to go there? I’m done. Funny thing is, I’m up to my free coffee. Guess, I’ll donate it. At least then, no one can be rude to me.
Side note: It specifically says not to use your cell phone when going through the drive through so as not to be rude to the workers. I went there and when I drove up, they ignored me and proceeded to verbally trash some woman they both knew. Umm, some customer service please? Guess it was too much to ask. I waited about 45 seconds. I know that doesn’t seem like a lot but if you put your head under water for 45 seconds, you’ll feel it, I promise. Gee, I’m pretty sure I had time for a quick phone call…
In short, I think I’ll save the rudeness, lectures on pepper and trash talk for another day. Thanks, but no thanks.
Sad. It was my favorite new place.

Do you like coffee? Do you like awesome people? Do you like excellent customer service? Then Red Cup is your fucking coffee place. This place is bangin’ like next level, upper echelon type shit. Do yourself a favor; try it out.

This coffee shop is the equivalent of a drive thru with seating.
Before I go into why I wouldn’t recommend this shop, let me say what was good about it.
The one time I have successfully purchased coffee from Red Cup, the barista was very friendly and the environment was clean. Red Cup also provides free wifi, plenty of seating as it seems that most of their business is drive up, and really great local art on display. They also carry pastries from a number of respectable Seattle bakeries including High 5 Pies. Unfortunately they were pretty much sold out of the pastries when I was there.
This wasn’t the first time I visited Red Cup. I have actually come once before in the middle of their business hours but the doors were locked even though all the signage was out and the lights were all on. At that point I planned to never return but the coffee shop down the road was packed and I needed to use some wifi so I decided to give Red Cup another shot.
Though the barista that was in the shop was super friendly, it seemed like this wasn’t a good environment for her to make coffee. There wasn’t any counter space for her to work on so she poured milk into the pitcher on a stool behind the counter. Maybe if there was more work space for the baristas, they would be able to make drinks better. I will say that she made my 8oz double shot latte very fast but it turned out to pretty much just be espresso with hot milk and not a latte.
I will say I noticed that the barista provided great service to people driving up and pulled her shots well. But, if a latte needs syrup in it to taste good, there is something wrong.
If the owners of this shop will get their baristas some more training on drinks, and give them a little better work space, I bet they could do much better than they do now. A drive up with excellent drinks would kill it but I have to say this place wasn’t my cup of tea.

Seriously, not my issue. You should plan accordingly. Sorry, but all I had was a $ 20 in which I didn’t realize that it was considered a large bill these days. I even offered to pay w/​my credit card if that would make it easier.
Not how I wanted to start my morning… I just wanted a coffee… didn’t need attitude to accompany it.

Good, solid indie coffee house. Cozy seating area, nice vibe. Baristas are really friendly, and delightfully free of the ‘too-​hip-​for-​you’ attitude you get in some coffee houses (see my review of Uptown Espresso). The only negative I can think of is I wish they had more offerings in the munchies department, and it would sure be nice if you could get a glass of wine there like you can at Freshy’s or C&P.
But don’t let that put you off. These guys do great coffee, they appreciate your patronage, and it sure shows! Check them out!

These people are damn friendly. I am a horrible mumbler. I mumble. Every where I go, I mumble. I go in, the barista asks me a kind question, such as, you know, how is your day? I can’t even remember what I mumbled, but she apparently heard me and made an entire thoughtful, sincere conversation out of it with me.
Well, also, the coffee is very fine, very delicious. I had a big blue berry scone too. It was good, and on the softer /​moist side. I despise crumbly dry-​ass scones.
The service is fast. I love the space. The whole environment feels like people love what they are doing there. I would spend extra money to be in a place like that, supporting people like that. f*ck corporate! How come Starbucks doesn’t run on solar power? How come they don’t use compostable «plastics?» Why does Unilocal insist I misspelled compostable?
All right then. So. I was so happy after my last visit, I jumped around in the sunshine on the sidewalk as if I were in some 1950’s musical. I can’t remember the last cup of espresso that made me do that.
Cheers, I hope you open a few more! One in central district, please? Because I plan on moving there.
