Queen Anne Olive Oil

Great unique idea for a store! The service was friendly and informative, you can taste everything. So many crazy flavors that make me want to come back and get more. Various sizes so you don’t need to dedicate to a 750ml bottle if you are unsure, but trust me you will be happy. Olive oil, light, and dark vinegar, they have you covered in every imaginable flavor combination. Left wishing I had bought more to try with my next oil and vinegar app.

This is the absolute best place in Seattle to buy artisan olive oil and vinegar. All of the oils sold here are 100% authentic, which cannot be said for any olive oil you would buy at a traditional grocery store (don’t buy there! The oils are of super low quality… If they are even olive oil at all!). The staff here are fantastic and knowledgeable. The best part is going around the store and sampling all of the varieties of oils and vinegars — they are all delicious! They even host private tasting parties, which would be great for team building or a party. Support local businesses and don’t buy oil or vinegar anywhere else!

Wonderful selection of olive oil and vinegar. You can taste everything there and get a small, medium, or large bottle of anything you like. There are labels with information about each one (region, olive, acidity, description, etc.), but the staff is also very knowledgeable and will help direct you to things you may like based on your preferences. Great place to pick up olive oil!

Great customer service, and the best selection of olive oils! Seriously, all of them are amazing and you can sample as much as you want! The vanilla balsamic is one of my favorites.

I love this shop, I think by far the have the best selection of oils and vinegars. I highly recommend the white truffle oil or Wild Mushroom & Sage oil here. The staff here is so friendly and knowledgeable.
Also, they let you sample the dozens and dozens of flavors they have here. I highly recommed this shop for any food enthudits.

This immaculate and friendly store offers samples of countless flavors of infused vinegars and oil. We tried several flavors of vinegar poured on scoops of vanilla ice cream. It turns out vinegar and ice cream are a great combination! These make great gifts but also take some home for you and your guests. The vinegar is a perfect dressing for fresh fruit and the flavored olive oil is a great salad dressing all on its own.

I love this place. We almost exclusively cook with their oil now. The infused flavors add so much to any easy meal, it’s a no brainer.

Great people selling a great product! Queen Anne Olive Oil has just about any flavor of olive oil you could dream up. I especially like the basil oil and throw it on all of my salads. Easy way to add something HEALTHY and DELICIOUS to your diet while supporting a LOCAL business.

Love the folks who own QA Olive Oil. Any kind of olive oil flavor you want– they probably have. My favorite is their white truffle oil! It’s like a bottle of magic! I also love their Vanilla Balsamic!

Only wanted a bottle or 2, but came out with 8.
Parking — Just have to find street parking, which is not that bad in this area, although I suspect weekends might be iffy.
Ambiance — new and classy. Minimalist feel so the focus is on the oil and vinegar.
Selection — They must have about 50 different types of olive oils and vinegar. I was there for the vinegar so I’ll mention a few that stood out:
1. Pomegranate (got 2 bottles of those) nice sweet fruity taste
2. Red apple had a fresh sweet taste to it
3. Cinnamon pear — my 9 year old son loved this one
4. Blackberry-​ginger which I think will go well with fish and pork
5. Black fig — classic thick sweet taste
6. Dark Espresso — if you’re going for something edgy
The interesting thing is each really does have a different taste, so you’ll just have to go and expect to spend about 30 minutes trying them all :)
They have 4 sizes, sample (tiny bottle maybe 6″ tall) 60ml $ 5, small 200ml $ 10, medium 375ml $ 15, large (same size as a bottle of wine) 750ml $ 25
Service — Excellent — father and daughter were both super friendly and helpful, even when I changed my mind after they filled a bottle, they were totally cool with that.
Recommendation: So, they are VERY affordable and good quality. I’ll probably be back, but ever since 11 Olives closed, I’m still looking for that super thick rich vinegar. This place is pretty close though.

I’ve bookmarked this place for awhile, as my significant other is a fan of anything that enhances her already brilliant cooking, and out of the corner of my eye, while driving toward a bakery did I spot this place. She asked if I planned this, which I have to say no, not this time, and we decided to go in here before heading to our real destination. What ended up was this being a destination where we stayed, tried, and dropped money and left with bottles, even myself, which I call the ‘wingman’ on these expeditions to find good vinegars and oils bought a bottle to use for. ahem… instant noodles (jk. or am I?).
This show room of chrome vats is vast, probably one of the biggest showrooms I have ever been to, and I can say that my dear and I have probably been to over 10 different ones. Set on dark tables, each vat is clearly marked with a small label on what you are actually tasting. We came in, and Larry quickly greeted us, as he was with another client, so we decided to see how these liquids stacked up to the stuff we had on our other journeys. We started with the olive oils, and unlike some other times, I saw my dear take interest in what she was tasting. Larry came over, asked us if we liked spicy, and gave us some samples of the chili in olive oil, quite a kick, and went back to help the others and told us
I started roaming around the store, trying various vinegar’s that were infused with different flavours, then I stood in front of 3 vats on this one table, and somehow I saw the words ‘dark toasted Japanese sesame oil’ and I had to try this thing. I poured a little in a small plastic tasting cup, and it was like the clouds outside departed and sunshine came out, I was already imagining what you could do with this awesome, evil, brew of oil on anything I like… all the, limited, cooking I do could be heightened by this magical liquid. I took the half sample left in my little cup for my dear to try, and I saw the eyes go sideways… she was like, ‘holy smokes’… yes, this stuff is for real!
My heart was already set to buy this, I just didn’t know at the time how much it cost, and at the same time I continued through the store and kept on trying things to see if any other monies were planning to leave me on this day. I eventually just took the sesame oil… a $ 15 bottle I may add, but I know I will be coming back with my dear. She even said that she doesn’t need to think of that store in San Francisco now. for this stuff. For everything in here it goes by one price for size, from a $ 5, $ 10, $ 15 and $ 20… except for the truffle oils (black and white) understandably.
One thing that this place does right is the tastings… others would have you flip the litter lever on the vats to get a little sample to taste, this place however has all the oils in seperate bottles with pouring spouts, which makes the tasting experience ever so simple for the client. Larry was great, just telling us to keep trying things, and we noticed a business card at the main checkout, and he has a brother named Garry… really. yes. really! Larry handled us well, and somehow a few minutes later we walked in to pick up another small bottle before jumping into our car.
Other olive oil tasting rooms don’t compare to this one, and now we know where to go to refill our stash! I can’t wait to put a few drips of that new sesame oil on my upcoming instant noodle craving!

I am very excited to have checked this place out. I love olive oil and vinegar. It is unfortunately I couldn’t find any good suppliers from Vancouver, BC.
My significant other and I have sample tasted olive oil/​vinegar from stores in Portland, San Francisco, and New York. Out of all the tastings (prior to trying Queen Anne Olive Oil) we still think «We Olive» from San Francisco has the best products.
After trying Queen Anne Olive Oil I feel I have found an alternative supplier with comparable quality but so much closer to home. If I ever visit San Francisco again I’d still shop at We Olive but for now I have no problem relying on Gary Graham, co-​owner, for suggestions.
After sampling most of the oils and vinegars in the store, I dropped my money on Wild Mushroom & Sage and Milanese Gremolata. I find these two the most useful to the type of home cooking I do. I love cooking with mushrooms especially mushroom risotto and cream of mushroom. I feel adding a few drops of Wild Mushroom & Sage as garnish would add oomph to my food. Same could be said about Milanese Gremolata which has wonderful aroma of lemon zest and minced garlic. A gentle drizzle to finish off pasta dishes and pizza could take your food to a whole new level.
My significant other, who has never bought any bottle for personal use even bought a large bottle of toasted sesame oil for himself and a small bottle for his Korean friend.
Being Asian I grew up using a lot of sesame oil. In my family we hand select our sesame seeds and have our distant relative cold press the oil. The sesame oil this store has really took me by surprise.
I have no problem suggesting this store to any food enthusiast. Quality is superb.

This is a nice little shop to get specialty oils and vinegars. There is a wide range of flavorful selections for marinating, cooking, and dressing! The staff are both helpful and extremely friendly. It made the tasting more exciting! We’ve actually been to a couple of these shops in CA, so we’re familiar with the experimental pairings ;} I always try new flavors and pairing suggestions every time I visit. And, it’s always a hit with our family and friends during dinner parties and simple gatherings :)

The olive oil is wonderful, I’m definitely going back! Also, the owners are great, really personable and funny.

The passion behind the high quality olive oils and vinegars shows in the service, attention to detail, knowledge and product. I have so enjoyed my olive oil and vinegar. I highly recommend a sweet little spout for your olive oil, it helps the perfect amount come out for a drizzle.
The prices are affordable and there is a wide range of delicious oils and vinegars. T

My wife and I stumbled by this place the other day while walking through Queen Anne, and we’re glad we did! It was fun trying all of the oils, and we ended up getting small bottles of Baklouti Green Chile (a slow burn), Harissa (spicy and great flavor), Sicilian Lemon White, and Strawberry Dark Balsamic (sweet enough to mix into a soda).
The small bottles are a great idea for trying things out, while the larger bottles are more economical and compare well to buying similar specialty oils elsewhere. We’ll be back for bigger bottles of whichever end up most popular. The guys who ran the place were helpful and having the ability to try their large selection while in the store is fantastic.

Tasting room.
I have to say that right away as the owners shy away from that phrase. We don’t buy fine cheeses or wines without partaking in tasting so we should do the same with fine oils and vinegars. This is a tasting room where you can sample each and every one at your leisure (self serve) and are encouraged to do so. The folks running the store will give you the rundown on each type of oil and give you some recommendations but really it comes down to your personal preference. I can’t stress enough that the REASON to come here is so you can CHOOSE the right one by tasting.
The really important thing to take away here is that you can buy olive oil from Costco, Winco and Walmart. You can buy it from the Internet but you don’t know if you got a good one or not until after you’ve already spent the money. Maybe it’s good, maybe it’s just mediocre but you can’t tell because you can only taste one at a time.
My recommendation is to do it the easy way — go to the Queen Anne Olive Oil Tasting Room (my addition to their name) and taste them back to back. Oils and vinegars have many different flavors. One oil was actually spicy (like straight to my nose spicy), some were grassy, some where very light and mild and the one I took home had nuances of tomato plant. It all depends on which olives were used and where they were grown.
They have balsamic vinegars (white and standard) as well and the standard Balsamic from Modena is very nice — light but still with a nice zip and slightly fruity nature. My other favorite was the fig vinegar which I’ll be going back for.
They also have infused oils which I don’t get into but my sister would probably love.
The small bottle (more of a gift than anything) is $ 5, the medium $ 10 and the large is $ 25. The large is by far the best deal. I currently pay $ 9 bottle for my cooking olive oil (from a big box store) and $ 37 a bottle for my dipping oil from another store (might as well concentrate the money where it’s most needed). This $ 25 bottle is similar in size to my $ 37 bottle that I’m currently using. I recommend taking a couple of $ 5 bottles home then after you’ve used them see what grows on you and go back for the big bottle of your favorite.

Yay! I’m a fan. Got a delicious harissa olive oil and white peach balsamic vinegar. Very happy.

I recently had the pleasure of randomly stopping into this gem when I was in Queen Anne for dinner with a friend. What a great find!
I am no connoisseur when it comes to olive oil, truffle oils, or vinegars. But, I know what I like and what tastes good. What I loved about this place is that there are tons of varieties that you can smell and sample. One of the owners immediately began explaining the history of the store, where the oils came from (Italy, California, etc.), how fresh they were, and gave recommendations on what we should try based on what we like. It’s great to have someone on-​hand is so knowledgeable for a change. It really gives a unique feel to an establishment (sad that this is so rare these days). You really feel like they care about their customers. When I talked to owner, I found out that this is actually a family-​run establishment, which made me love it even more.
It’s also just super fun! I had such a great time going from jug to jug reading about the various oils and vinegars, and them smelling them before sipping them. All of them are delicious in their own way, but I left with some black truffle oil (to DIE for!) and French champagne balsamic vinegar (I cannot wait to make salad dressing with this). The prices are very reasonable, especially for the truffle oil. From what I understand, all you need is a tiny bit of truffle oil for a dish (let’s say, pasta) to get a really great flavor. So for what you pay, the truffle oil goes a long way.
There’s some really smart advertising, too. The logo on the bottles are very crisp, clean, and modern. Coming from someone who works in the world of creative artists, I was really drawn to this place simply from that. The inside is also spotless. It’s not like there is olive oil crusted and dripping down everywhere. Major kudos for that!
You have to stop by if you’re in the Queen Anne area. The shop is located just past 5 Spot across the street. If anything, just have fun educating yourself on the various types of olive oil!

I’m no expert in Olive Oil. I like to cook with it, use it in salad dressings and dip bread in it. But this place was a whole new world for me. When you walk in you are greeted by a huge room of various types of olive oils, balsamic vinegars, truffle oils and nut oils. Probably other things too, but I only spent about 40 minutes here.
You are free to taste any [ahem, MANY] of their wares. There are little bread bits to dip/​palate cleanse. There were some nice nut oils like walnut oil and sesame oil (oops, is sesame a nut? anyway.). One of the best parts is the proprietors who are very helpful and have a great sense of humor. They suggest pairings of the various vinegars and oils, and have many ideas about how to use their oils that they are happy to share.
The prices are clearly posted and the owners will bend over backwards to make sure you are a satisfied customer. They created a custom 6-​flavor gift pack for us based on 6 of the oils and vinegars we picked out. To me the prices seem quite reasonable for such a large selection of what seems to me to be a niche product. My favorite was the ‘harissa’ olive oil which is quite spicy. They also have a chipotle which was a bit more tame. I’m giving Queen Anne Olive oil an oily thumbs up.
