PSLA’s food bank is open for distribution Mondays and Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Every Seattle resident living within our service area may use the food bank so long as they provide proof of residence and government-issued photo identification. Our service area is 98 101, 98 109, 98 111, 98 119, 98 121, 98 134, and 98 199. We also serve union members, regardless of where they live.

We provide nourishment (canned goods, produce, breads, etc), and have some personal toiletry items, pet food, and baby formulas/diapers. Some supplies are limited and distribution is first-come, first-served.

In the case of a Monday holiday, the food bank will be open and distribute on Tuesday of that week. When in doubt, call ahead: (206) 448‑9277

History

Established in 1975.

The Puget Sound Labor Agency mission is to improve the quality of life for people needing assistance and to provide an avenue for unions and their families to help.

The Puget Sound Labor Agency (PSLA) was founded in 1975 by local labor unions to serve their neighbors and to give back to their community.

Individuals and families living within eight zip codes were helped through our food bank, our emergency assistance program, and our residential wheelchair ramp program. Over 38,000 people were helped from June 2010 to June 2011.
