History

Established in 2012.

plum’s was founded by Lora Poepping, a former recruiter with 20+ years at Microsoft, Deloitte and Seattle start-​ups.

After years of meeting with job seekers over coffee and offering her guidance, Lora took her strategy and created plum.

Lora has over 18 years in the Puget Sound marketplace and knows what it takes to find a job here, although she also coaches people via Skype across the U.S.

Lora Poepping has been in staffing for over 20 years. In 1989 she joined the HR organization of San Francisco’s Deloitte practice. In 1994, Lora became the Regional Director of Recruiting for PriceWaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand).

In 1994 Lora began her 13 year career with Microsoft as an MBA-​college recruiter. Soon after, Lora transitioned onto the experienced-​hired Industry Team, where she hired Marketing Managers, Software Developers, Software Architects, Editors, Writers and Program Managers. Later, as an HR Program Manager working on the New Employee Orientation Team, she worked with senior level leaders. She was also the Diversity Manager in the Finance organization.

Over the past 3 years, Lora has consulted with Seattle companies in all areas of Human Resources — including delivering Behavioral Interview training. Working with a start-​up, Lora served as the Director of Recruiting for 18 months.

In 2011. Lora launched plum.
