Stopped here for a quick lunch after seeing the gold rush museum rather than going somewhere fancier(more pricy). We were not disappointed. Simple and delicious. They also have vegetarian options. I especially liked the fries: thick, soft inside, crispy and salty outside. The vegetarian sandwich was large and flavorful too.

An excellent place to stop right after arriving in Seattle! It was convenient and quick, and the food was good(we had the catfish and fries). It’s nothing fancy, but it does the job. The guy at the counter was super nice, too.

Want to be hassled by the homeless? They’re demanding, they’re rude, they’re even rapey! All the harassment one can handle in a convenient place. I’m in pioneer square for work every weekend, and just walking by, I feel as though I’ll be mugged for being white. Other than that, the staff is great, they keep a clean store, and I feel welcomed. Getting through those outside steers me clear most nights.

Just a few short blocks from Centurylink Field, an excellent place to have some beers and great food on your way to the game! Was able to have two Budlight tall cans, fish and fries, and a cheeseburger and fries for $ 20! The workers or owners were very friendly and easy going. We plan to go back everytime we get to go to the game! Go Hawks!

Good fries — made fresh and hot to order. Friendly guy at the counter. Decent selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Respectable sandwiches. Reasonable prices. All around solid place for fast, affordable lunches.

Look, this is the not the best restaurant you are ever going to eat at? So, why am I giving it 5 stars? Because, it does an extremely good job doing what it’s supposed to do. It serves tasty, good-portioned sandwiches, chinese food, teriyaki, and fish and chips. These things shouldn’t all go together, but they do here and all of it’s pretty darn good and fairly fresh. They cook your fish and chips only when ordered and for a quick lunch spot, that’s a great thing. Plus, the fish and chips are huge! Across the board, the prices are inexpensive — probably one of the best deals in Pioneer Square. Anyway, if you are old-school and just want a decent meal for a decent price, then this is a good place. Oh, and they have bottled beer that you can drink in the restaurant for like $ 2.50 a bottle. Just don’t buy the 10 Barrel, because that’s now owned by Anheuser Busch, which stifles innovation(aka the backbone of America). So eat good food and drink a beer before a game and you are set.

I work a block away from the Pioneer Square Market, and what can I say– I love coming here. Consistent, tasty, and well-priced sandwiches/fries with very attentive and friendly customer service. I buy food here at least once a week. Always a nice smile from my friend at the counter, and good service from his staff. Thank you!

They have glass bottled sugar cane Dr. Pepper for sale. You had me at glass bottled sugar cane Dr. Pepper. They have lots of other cold specialty glass bottle drinks too, but once the Texan in me saw the Dr. Pepper, there was no other thing to be seen. The fat kid squeal came forth, and I wanted to shout«Shut up and take my money!» They have a little lunch menu as well, but I haven’t tried anything out. It smelled good! I mostly wanted to fulfill my civic duty and inform the masses of the existence of glass bottled sugar cane Dr. Pepper at this place. You’re welcome.

I ordered the chicken udon. It came with about 3 or 4 strips of teriyaki chicken meat that were about ½″ x 2″ long. I’d say it would equal ½ of a cutlet. It also had 4 broccoli florets. The noodles were a little al diente and the broth was like flavorless water. It was only 5.99 but I think it was worth 3.99. The cashier was very kind and polite but the food just sucked. If I go back I’ll try one of the sandwiches. I looked at the teriyaki orders that others were eating and nothing about this place was real impressive.

A little Ma & Pa store/deli. The owners are really nice and friendly. I had the Hawaiian Cheesteak. It had grilled onions, provolone cheese, and beef. If you are looking for a quick, delicous and slightly messy food option this is for you!

What a weird place. Nice people that work there, but this place is a bit of an awkward mix between a deli and a convenience store with an Asian-leaning product line. With that being said, their sandwiches do the trick. I had their rib eye cheesesteak and thought it was a fair value. If you’re looking for a quick bite, or if you value having the ability to talk at a normal volume, this might be a viable option over the slew of awesome bars/quick food stops in the area. They do keep it pretty clean, so kudos for that! There seems to be a shortage of, well, «sanitation efforts» at many of the establishments in this neck of the woods.

The Pioneer Square Market & Deli suffers from a number of branding problems. For one thing, it is not a market; its selection of goods is about the same as the convenience store Old Face Andre ran in «The Wire» as a drug front.(Note: I am certainly not saying the PSM&D is a drug front.) For another thing, it is not a deli; it barely even registers as a sandwich shop. What it actually is is a cash register, in front of which you stand awkwardly for a few minutes while some extremely mysterious Chinese food preparation activities take place behind a curtain. Is there a Chinese restaurant back there? An industrial freezer full of Wanchai Ferry boxes? A dimensional gateway to a chop suey house in suburban Chicago? I cannot say, and the friendly guy at the front counter ain’t talking. What I do know is that it’s okay Chinese food, served quick, and with a giant pile o’ rice, for very little money, and that’s worth three stars easy.

Cheese Burger special was really good, fries were good too. great deal for a complete meal. I also tried the cod and it was great really good breading. The location is right near the Amtrak station. The man and woman there both provided really good customer service, and good deals. I’m from Portland, but next time I’m in town ill eat there again.

The fried Alaskan cod is excellent. Amazing batter! Great portions for the price. Service was great and both the lady and man were friendly. I wished they had hot sauce like Red hot, crystal or Tabasco. Will eat at again when we are back in Seattle.

I got the veggie delight with brown rice and the veggies are fresh and not overcooked and the sauce is flavorful but not overpowering. I was a little sad that there were only two pieces of fried tofu in the whole dish though. Guess I shoulda gone for the burger…

So I had amazingly low expectations for this deli — seemed odd from the window photos, but today I was desperately seeking vegan food with tofu. I just needed it. They have a Pad Thai with tofu that they will happily make without eggs and I confirmed it had no other hidden animals(like fish sauce). The Pad Thai was ready in less than 7 minutes, so I was a little worried, but it was surprisingly good. I didn’t remember to tell them how many stars and they automatically made it a solid 2, so I was happy with the spice. It was a steal too, $ 6.99 and your choice of water or soda. They also have a handmade vegan black bean burger that I’ll try next time I go.

The Pioneer Square deli is very clean and looks great when you first walk in. And that may be the first time«clean», «looks good» and«Pioneer Square» have all appeared in the same sentence ;) The people that work there are super nice and friendly. The space is laid out a little weird so figuring who has ordered, who’s waiting, where to stand while you’re waiting, and all that is a little confusing, but not bad. I ordered a turkey sandwich and it looked great when it was put into a to-go bag. Nice big, soft sandwich roll, very thick and just looked really good. Then I bit into it… It was one of the blandest sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was like all the taste had been surgically removed. The turkey was so processed and gross I could barely eat the sandwich. I was starving that day so I did choke it down, but I haven’t been back since. Why doesn’t someone open a sandwich shop in the area where they cook up fresh bird(chicken, turkey) and serve you sandwiches with actual meat? Business opportunity!

I work less than a block from this little market and they are just the nicest folks to do business with. They have the usual convenience store sundry items, like several other stores in the area, but they also have hot food(breakfast, lunch, early dinner). Mostly Chinese fare, but also sandwiches, breakfast items, some Thai, etc. The food is fresh and hot, and delicious. If you’re in Pioneer Square and looking for a quick, cheap, and yummy meal(to go w/your beer and cigarettes), stop on in. You won’t be disappointed — definitely not compared to many/most food places in the PioSq ‘hood.

They were open during Snowmageddon 2012, that in it self should get 5 stars, but they only served a limited menu during that time. I’ll bump them up a star for snow-service, and add their lunch specials include a drink.
