12÷29÷15 Stopped by this unassuming Phở shop and was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of the Phở. A nice typical Vietnamese restaurant. The price is not expensive. The menu was very basic, and didn’t have a thousand items on it, which could be overwhelming. I’m no phở expert– I’m sure you have friends who can direct you to places that are hipper, or somehow more ‘authentic’(whatever that means); all I know is that, I have a piping-hot, perfectly cooked bowl of Phở in front of me in about 5 minutes. The basil, and sprouts are always fresh and green, meat is of high quality, and broth is flavorful. I enjoy a good level of spice and sweat-inducing elements in my food, yet found no need to add any additional jalapenos or Sriracha; the broth was a perfect balance of heat and flavor. Needless to say, I emptied the bowl and plan on returning to empty more in the future. I haven’t tried any other dishes beside the Phở(I usually get #6), and it’s always so good. I find myself craving it and ignore the rest of the menu. Give it a try next time you’re in the area. All in all — a great place to dine in, awesome vibe, tasty food, and outstanding customer service. Would recommend to anyone in the area!

I use to love this place; their phở & other noodle dishes was always great. Until I came across a fat ass COCKROACH floating around my phở soup. There could’ve been a possibility of more swimming around, but I was already half way finished with my bowl. I’ll never know for sure now. NEVER going back.

Typical Vietnamese restaurant that is similar to other Phở places in the surrounding area. Attentive waiters that listen and have patience. Good for lunch. Busy and sometimes quiet place for meals. They tend to forget which customer order what items on the menu. Not the cleanness dining area, but can get crowded w/a lunch rush.

Good place for bun bo hue. Come here for this dish. It’s what they are known for. And the best part is they open at 9am. This place opens early for the early bird!

first time here today. Tried the bun bo hue and goi cuon. Only reason we went here was because Hoang lan downstairs had changed their owner and heard the bun bo hue was not as good. So my reaction? The place was extremely quiet and empty for the lunchtime rush, but I still didn’t let this get to me. The goi cuon was fresh and decent. I really wanted to order their nem cuon but when I asked if it had the crunchy wonton in it they said«no». I’m so spoiled with the southern California Brodard Nem Rolls I can’t eat anything else!!. For the Bun Bo Hue I got #41 small. The broth came out a little brown and murky. I’m used to it being clear and red and bursting with flavor. I tried the broth before adding anything else in it. The flavor was decent but by far way different from it’s competitor Hoang Lan. This one was lacking the immense burst of flavor that punches you when you take a sip, it also lacks the intense spice that bun bo hue is known for. I ended up adding tons of chili pepper to spice up my dish. After doctoring it up a bit the dish as a whole was decent. It was average when compared to my benchmark, but probably way better than I could produce at home. So, for that I will give it an «ok» and willingly return to have more. It does not compare to my favorite but it’s a good alternative I guess. Oh yeah, and the stairwell to get up to this place is a little sketch.

The food here is fine but not the best. Ordered their Bun Bo Hue and it flavorful and spicy. However, it’s not something that I would come back here all the time to order again.

Normally when I want to eat bun Bo hue in Seattle, I go to hoang lan which is downstairs. This location is alright, I still prefer the downstairs location. The drinking water that they give tastes a little weird. I ordered a large and split it with another person and I still thought it was a lot of food. I mean it tastes good but not as good as the other one.

Came in on a Sunday around 9:30 am with my family. The food was fine. What bothered me about my experience was the service I received. First of all, my sister told me she heard our server mumble«No thank you?» after he left from our table delivering our orders. My parents did not verbally say thanks, and I actually did however he didn’t hear me. I think we were courteous customers regardless and you should not expect a response from every customer you will encounter. Secondly, I asked for an orange juice and my parents even said it in Vietnamese after he didn’t catch my order. He came back with a Fanta soda and I complained that this wasn’t what I meant by orange juice. He said I should have asked for fresh squeezed orange juice but it was the only kind of orange juice on the menu, I didn’t even see Fanta on the menu? After waiting and waiting we had to remind him about the orange juice fix and this time when he said it coming right out(again) THEN he went to the fridge and took out oranges to make my order and it came out fast after that. They seem to have a lot of customers for so early in the morning so they don’t need this one, this would be my last choice restaurant

Right when I walked into the restaurant I knew things weren’t going to be pleasant. — Food underneath our table — Workers were standing in the back room chatting instead of greeting their customers right away — Big smell of nuoc mam on our table My mom and I had came here as a last resort because Joy Palace was super packed on Easter. I ordered the Bun Chia Gio Thit Nuong, it wasn’t the best I’ve had better. Their pork wasn’t seasoned nor tasty enough, it was a bit bland to my tasting. Their egg rolls were eh, I alway love good fillings inside my egg rolls and this one didn’t do it. It was still enjoyable overall. My mom ordered the Banh Canh Cua, this is where the main problem was. It was too salty! Did they dump a whole bottle of salt in there?! It was so salty and unsatsifying that my mom wanted to let the owner know. He listened to her and then walked away. Wow thanks for the acknowledgement… Then I asked for water and the waiter said okay, but forgot about it because he was too busy talking to the customer at the table behind us. In conclusion, I do not want to come back here unless I’m starving to the point where I can’t wait in line at Joy Palace. The customer service here really needs to be worked on. There’s a proper way in complying to your customers needs and they failed to do so.

Everything is $ 8! Cash only though. The com tam is just ok. The egg cake is small and doesn’t have much wood ear. The pork is too thin and you only get a little piece. Overall, it is about 75% the size of an average plate in the area. Phở tastes a little bland. Either diluted or not cooked long enough. Rainier bbq down the street has better phở. The bun bo hue has a good amount of ingredients, but like the phở broth doesn’t have the depth of flavor that you expect. They also use premade/packaged meat balls instead of homemade ones, so go to Hoang Lan around the corner instead. Park behind the building to avoid the terrible drivers.

Best BBH ever. My vietnamese family members say it is super authentic! It has the right amount of spice and the meatballs are amazing. However, it is cash only but luckily the prices are very cheap. Also, parking is super easy so sure beats going to Chinatown!

So maybe I am biased writing this review. Since I live in Little Saigon, I get the best Phở in Orange County. So when traveling, finding a good Phở restaurant can be challenging. My husband and I were in Seattle headed for the airport when we decided to stop in for some Phở. Like most typical Vietnamese restaurants, good service is not to be expected. The only time we spoke with someone was just to place our order, otherwise, they never come back to see if you need anything else. This restaurant was simple, undecorated, and bland… so was their food. The Phở was nothing to rave about, a bit on the bland side, and the broth looked murkier than most Phở that I have eaten. There were customers at a table next to us complaining that they waited too long. We waited about 10 minutes, ate, paid and left without a hello or thanks. Not a memorable experience.

Best Bun Bo Hue in the area but don’t expect service with a smile. Seat yourself and the menus will be delivered momentarily. The food comes out hot, fast and tasty! Ready to go? Just head over to the counter and they’ll ring you up. Like most Asian places, it’s cash only. Located on the second floor of a strip mall, you have a great view of the crazy drivers in the parking lot.

1) Flies were prevalent 2) Phở needed more flavor 3) Cash only Entered the restaurant, made eye contact with the waiter, and she proceeded to continue whatever else she was doing. We had to seat ourselves. The phở came in huge steaming bowls but was a disappointment to my taste buds. I added excessive amount of Sriracha, hoisin, and chili oil to even taste something. The basil was wilted and sad looking, so were the jalapeño slices. My friends ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee for 2.50 and they came halfway through our meal. The amount of coffee in the plastic to go cups barely filled it up halfway, they were forced to order soy milk to add and dilute the overwhelmingly bitter coffee flavor. Despite everything, I still would’ve returned to give them another chance, but the FLIES. They are everywhere. One even landed on my arm and buzzed in my ear. I lost my appetite immediately. I do not recommend this establishment. Get your phở elsewhere!

Before this summer the only time I came here was to buy their thit nem nuong. I decided to bring my grandma here to eat this summer and we’ve been back 3 – 4 times since May. To grandma their bun bo hue is authentic, I haven’t been to Hue so… I’m just going to trust grandma’s opinion :). It’s 8 dollars a large bowl, and you have to pay in cash since that is all they accept. It comes with lots of veggies on a plate for us to share. The broth is strong, but not overwhelming with mam like some other places, and no so spicy that I have to down water after every few bites. You customize the bowl of bun bo hue to how you like it; cha, thit, gan, huyet… etc. The ladies there are very nice and make small chat with us each time we come in. I rate it highly because of how much I love the bun bo hue… ironic that it’s phở my chau and all I eat there is bun bo hue lol The place could be could be cleaner in my opinion. And I often needed to get up from my seat to ask for something, since they do not stop by the table after they have brought out the food. Their take out is packaged nicely for when I buy some to bring home, they don’t give less and don’t skimp on how much veggies they give either. Things are wrapped tightly to prevent spilling. I really like that because from experiences at other places I feel so sad after getting home and finding broth in my plastic bag :(

We came here last night as an establishment we wanted to go to was closed. My husband ordered a vermicelli(bun) dish and it wasn’t great. The chao tom(minced shrimp wrapping around a piece of sugar cane) was dry and didn’t taste right. I tried the bun bo hue because when asked what they’re known for and is good, the server suggested it. It was the worst bun bo hue I’ve had. It was not right at all. It was like adding chili flakes and oil to a broth rather than simmered in the appropriate bun bo hue spices for hours. My friend ordered a phở and that didn’t taste right either. Strange sweetness to it. On top of all that, my husband found a hair in his che ba mau(yikes). Oh and it’s quite expensive for a CASHONLY place. I’ve been to phở places that charged less and accepted credit/debit cards. Sorry to say, we will not be returning to this place. There are just so many Vietnamese places to try that it wouldn’t be worth the time coming here.

Been frequently going here for about 3 years. I was disappointed in the not-so-friendly service and not being able to use my card at first… but then I tried the phở and that changed my mind. Their broth was very much to my liking and the portions were great. I later realized that the language barrier probably gave me the impression of «bad service». Then I think to myself, «I can just come in, take a seat, order number 10, then enjoy. I did come here for the food, not the chit chat». It is still my favorite Vietnamese Restaurant in the area. Also try their broken rice plates, coffee, and the soda with the egg yolk. Yummy.

I was working around the area and got hungry and really wanted some phở and found this place. I got there I picked a table and just lucky me the table was dirty. They didn’t even bother to cleaned it up. I had a phở special no tripe plus meat balls no white onions. They brought out my phở with only green onions. I had to ask the waitress for cilantro and she totally forgot to bring it so I had to ask again. Phở broth was okay. Kinda bland if you ask me. Meats freshly slices but the steak was a little to thick for me. I look around and seems like everyone was ordering bun bo hue. Maybe I should try that next time. But back to my bowl of phở it was okay nothing special out of the ordinary. The place could be cleaner if in my opinions. I’m very critic about the places I eat it. It should always be clean of not that then super clean cause your dealing with food.

Walked in and seated ourselves. The phở we ordered was a good portion, certainly for the price we paid. A regular is $ 7, and a large was $ 7.50. The broth is decent . The flavor was nice but it was so strong! Like super strong! My boyfriend and I were even considering asking for a cup of hot water to add it to our soup. But the bean sprouts really helped and did a lot to even out the flavor. It didn’t fix it, but it helped. We did manage to finish our phở. So it wasn’t that bad, or maybe we were just that hungry. Also the meat balls are mediocre. Service isn’t that great, and neither is the interior of the restaurant. It’s really a simple Asian restaurant, you come in to eat your food and really that’s it. Don’t expect a grand experience. BRINGCASH, if you are really craving phở make the trip and go to Phở Bac or Phở Hoa.

The Phở with tendon and steak was delicious. I just wish there was a little more tendon cause all I got was one piece and the tendon is my favorite part of it all. The broth was pretty good but nothing special. We got there and we had to seat ourselves. They could have checked in with us more. After we got our food to see how it tasted. Also they only accept cash. Which would be unfortunate for people who don’t carry cash on them or for people who are unaware of their policy. Rated 3 for the little inconveniences.
