Description

Specialties

Pathway Design and Construction is a remodeling company with particular expertise in healthy building design. We manage the entire remodel process from design through construction. We work closely with our clients to devise solutions that work within their budgets. Our clients appreciate the thorough investigation and planning we do before the work even starts. It makes for a smoother remodeling process and fewer change orders after construction begins. We promote healthy indoor air quality during construction and beyond with careful practices and decision making about systems and materials. Our goal is to create a healthier living space while adding value and longevity to your home. We are known nationally in the building industry as teachers to the trades in healthy home construction.

History

Established in 2008.

Pathway Design & Construction was founded in an effort to offer our clients a home or building that is reflective of the symbiotic relationship between humankind and nature.

Our company is built upon the following fundamental beliefs:

* The buildings that we turnover to our clients should be healthier and have less impact on the surrounding environment.

* Some of the Greenest buildings are those that are built using Best Building Practices. They are built with current and future needs in mind keeping close attention to details during the design and construction stages to reduce the cost of future maintenance.

* Helping our clients understand the systems of their homes and how the benefits of an ongoing Operation and Maintenance plan will help find problems sooner and reduce the cost of future repairs.

Meet the Business Owner

Paul K.

Business Owner

Over twenty five years ago, Paul began his construction career as a laborer eager to learn the trade. Shortly after earning a B.A. in Marketing from Eastern Washington University, Paul accepted a job as a Project Engineer for Eagle Hardware & Garden’s West Coast Construction Division. He later took a similar position with Wick Constructors building schools and other government buildings. Paul got his first taste of «green» building when he worked on the Pierce County Environmental Services Building. His dedication to «sustainable» building has continued ever since.

When not in the office, Paul spends time with his wife, Tracy, and two children. His 9 year old son, Aiden, is following in dad’s footsteps and is always building some interesting structure in the middle of the living room floor. And yes, he is using environmentally friendly practices.

Paul encourages his employees to stay active in the community, to stay educated in this ever expanding field, and to live a balanced life.
