Octaves Piano Lessons specialize in lessons for Beginner to Intermediate students from ages 5 to 12. Strong emphasis is placed on Theory and Compositional development by means of child friendly methods. Many students in this age group have even been inspired to write their own tunes.

For the convenience of busy Moms, Octaves also offers in-​home lessons within a 20 mile radius from downtown Seattle. Octaves takes time to brief non-​musical parents on the basic rudiments so they can be helpful to their young pianist. Please inquire about sibling discounts.

Rudiments for Practicing Piano was written by Darna Bedwell, Octaves owner to further help parents understand how to help their children develop proper practicing skills at home. This booklet is available to all Octaves clients.

History

Established in 1999.

Octaves Piano Lessons is an extention of Octaves Piano Studio which operated in Bellevue, WA for 10 years, from 1999 — 2009. It has now relocated into Seattle and offers the option of in-​home lessons.
