Walking in the shop I was quickly amazed at the selection at hand and wealth of knowledge of the shop owner. You want a random piece of cheap carpet to cover the floor or stomp your feet on? This is not your place. If you want a conversation piece, a piece of far-traveled history, go visit Harry at Oasis. He said if I called and made an appointment he’d pull some he thought would catch my eye. I’m going to take him up on that!

We’ve known Harry Myers since 1988, when he appraised the rugs we inherited when my grandparents died. His knowledge is extraordinary. He read each rug like a story book, explaining where it was made and at what time period – based on the style and the dyes used. Over the years, he has helped us clean the rugs when the dogs have had accidents; repair them, when edges get sucked into vacuum cleaners(I know, that’s stupid). He’s helped us sell rugs and we’ve bought from him as well. If you want an honest opinion & honest pricing, based on solid knowledge and decades of experience, go to Oasis.
