NovuStone manufactures our material utilizing local post-​consumer recycled content such as bottle glass, windows and mirrors; as well as post-​industrial recycled content and natural aggregates to create lasting, durable, sustainable surfaces.

Up to 80% of our surfaces are recycled (and subsequently sourced as our raw materials) from within 35 miles of our production facility in the Historic Rainier Brewery in Seattle, Washington.

These ingredients are bound together with our proprietary, self-​curing, low carbon cement that is naturally stain, heat, and UV resistant. In combination, our products represent the best, lowest impact, most sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative in the stone surface industry.

NovuStone was founded by Aaron Cohen. Taking training he received in a variety of artistic and professional pursuits, Aaron saw an opportunity to combine the science of manufactured stone, his eye for composition, and a commitment to «do better by the world»; building an honest company in the process.

NovuStone began by creating and casting custom tiles from many of the same raw ingredients we use today. As time went by and testing of formulas continued, demand for countertops took the lead and away we went. We have grown this company through hard work, producing quality product, and a determination to stay true to our values.
