History
Established in 2006.
We are not your downtown glossy advertising/design firm. Instead our office is located in a former speakeasy that requires a little adventure on your part. We are located just at the edge of industry and a block from the Duwamish River.
Once inside our door you will instantly feel the creative enthusiasm and charm of what makes working with us fun. And because of our lower overhead (no, not meaning the low ceilings), we can do more for less.
Every bit as good, but without the suits or cappuccino maker.
Established in 2006, Noise w/o Sound became a business offering good design at a good price. Owner/designer, Kathi (aka. george) Wheeler has 32+ years experience in the industry, not counting all the research and informative years as a child growing up absolutely loving commercials and packaging.

Growing up as a child, I just loved watching TV commercials, singing along with the jingles. At the breakfast table, instead of eating Corn Flakes® and Cheerios®, I’d be found sketching up a new design for the box packaging.
My first finger painting still is framed and hangs in my house. I loved art as a child. I began my career education while still in high school. Then continued my education at the Burnley School of Professional Art. I was the only teenager (age 19) to ever graduate from the school.
I’ve worked as a newspaper advertising designer, a graphic designer for a wholesale printer really learning the print industry, and an art director an ad agency. I’ve had so much experience in so many industries, but I love the non-profit world because I get to give back.
Working as a designer doesn’t feel like work to me. I am so lucky to be doing something that I love so much every day.
