The owner and wedding dress specialist Mike gave me the best customer service ever. He was down to earth, friendly, professional, and completely bent over backwards to accommodate my specific needs. I highly recommend using their services for your EVERY need. I will be back, and want to share to the world, I never knew I could leave so happy from a dry cleaner. :-)

I purchased my wedding dress at Cicada and National Dry Cleaners was their top recommendation for having it cleaned after my wedding. It was in good shape but did have some dirt around the hemline. I was astounded at the initial quote but was under the impression that this was the going rate for wedding gowns, the dress would look like new following the cleaning, and the cost was reflective of Nat’l Dry Cleaners’ expertise with cleaning fine materials; I had peace of mind leaving it there. I was, however, irritated when I went to pick it up a few weeks later and staff couldn’t locate it for about 10 minutes. Things were disorganized. When they did find it, it was still dirty so I had to make another trip to retrieve it… Even worse was the dirt wasn’t completely out of the hem. Kicking myself for being so gullible and shelling out hundreds of dollars (no, that’s not a typo: hundreds!) without researching. The high cost seems like one of those typical experiences of an upcharge just because the word «wedding» is involved.
My sister just had her wedding dress cleaned at Panda in Shoreline for around $ 70. :-|

I brought my husbands vintage Seahawks letterman jacket here to be repaired and cleaned. Going into this, I knew it was not going to be an easy clean. Holden advised me of this going into it. Well he did an amazing job on the jacket. It took over a week to get it which is fine because this thing was haggard when I brought it in. Service dropping off and picking up were great, Hassel free and friendly.
It is a bit of a drive for me but I would use them again for sute. Thanks Holden!

National cleaners cleaned three wedding dresses for me, including my daughter’s, mother’s and grandmother’s. The dresses were from 2014,1950s and 1920s. All were impeccably cleaned and restored by National cleaners. My mother’s dress had significant dark brown stains all over and esspecially down the front and Holden and his dad got them all out. My grandmother’s dress and veil were stained and graying — they looks a ton better. And, all three dresses are preserved by people who have been extensively trained in restoration. These guys are the real deal for cleaning and preserving fine clothing. Thanks to the National Cleaners team for preserving our treasures.

The quality of service is great but their pricing is significantly higher than others in the area. For this reason I pass on them everytime.

Love to shop local so we thought we would try a dry cleaners that was close to where we live instead of the one we have gone to that was a couple of miles away.
Pluses: Dry cleaning was complete a day before promised and the people were friendly to deal with.
Minuses: I should have read the reviews first. I could have bought a whole new outfit on sale for what we paid for dry cleaning.
I was told there is a discount coupon in a paper that you can find at local pharmacies but you must present the coupon before they do the dry cleaning. Not sure why. Do they clean differently when you get a discount? We will be going back to our other dry cleaners.

WOW. Mike and National you are wonderful. Let me give you a timeline… I got married May 2012-​Contacted them in September based off of their reviews on The Knot. Some weird stuff happened with e-​mail so Mike himself gave me a call which I thought was a spectacular gesture. Finances got tricky for a while so I had to put my gown on the back burner.
The following year-​I knew I was going to be in the area and decided to stop in and get a quote. Mike was there and was PHENOMENAL. He carefully handled my gown-​put on white gloves and inspected it THOROUGHLY and asked all the right questions. We discussed for quite some time their cleaning and preservation and I was SO excited but needed to talk with the husband before dropping it off. Since then, based off of all the wonderful experience I had-​I held onto the quote, intake form, and business card and looked at it almost monthly.
After getting so discouraged and frustrated it hadn’t been done yet-​I had my husband give them a call to see if they would still honor the quote from the year before-​they would! I KNEW it NEEDED to be done and pulled out what I needed from my Savings jar. I was hesitant this morning because finances are still tight — but when I walked in those doors today it all melted away. I have complete confidence and trust in National and am so excited to see the final results!
The staff is incredibly friendly. I appreciate their honesty and great customer service. I also like that each gown is washed separate and the fact they use a light to see things I normally wouldn’t.

I needed to have my wedding dress steamed and delivered to the Point Defiance Zoo — on a Sunday. I knew that someone offered this service and I was willing to pay to have it all happen without me doing a thing after dropping off the dress.
Michael was FANTASTIC. He handled my dress with reverence and respect, handling it with white gloves as he unwrapped it and hung it high on a hook with a sheet below so nothing would get it dirty. After looking it over and assessing the detail, he said it would be no problem to steam and deliver the dress on the Sunday of my wedding.
They did, for about $ 300. When I walked into my prep suite, the dress was there, hanging on a hook and beautifully steamed. I was blown away at how flawless their service was. It was some of the best money we spent with the wedding, to remove all of the stress around picking up the dress and getting it to the destination. I would recommend this cleaner and that service to any bride looking to reduce her stress levels on the day-​of. It is well-​worth it!

Really really expensive — $ 22 for a suit, and a over $ 3 to launder a men’s shirt. I really wanted them to be my local cleaners, but at these rates, that just can’t happen.

Do NOT use this place! I took cushions for a chair here and the ruined them. When I picked them up and brought them home, the cushions were deformed and the fabric was shrunken so that they can’t be reattached to the chair properly. I wanted to give them the opportunity to explain or fix it. I called and the woman said someone would call me back. No one did. I called and left a message and no return call. Bad quality and bad service. The did send me a thank you card and coupon that I will never use because I don’t trust them not to ruin something else.

My husband insisted on returning to this dry cleaner time and time again despite it being the most expensive dry cleaning bill I’ve ever seen. $ 23-​$ 50 for a sundress. Really. A basic sundress without any stains or special handling, just silk dry clean only sundresses. More than once some of those dresses came back with loose hems and seams. But the location is convenient, so he returned despite my complaints.
Then we took a sweater in. It had some pilling on it and was dryclean only. It came back shredded – several giant holes and runs. Not a word was said about any damage. Nothing was marked or mentioned about the damage until my husband noticed the back of the sweater was damaged, just the top back (not the front). The person we picked it up from told us it was clear that the sweater had reacted to chemicals, that she had seen that type of damage before. She kept the sweater, took the charge off our bill, and said she would have the manager call us.
After going back and forth for a week trying to get a response from the manager, he insisted the sweater was dropped off shredded and said he had time-​stamped photos of it when he saw it the first time. Because everyone knows that a time stamp on a digital camera can’t be changed in the settings. Strange we dropped the sweater off directly to him and he didn’t mention any damage then. He also went ahead and cleaned the sweater which he says was shredded when we dropped it off. He basically said he saw the damage, took time stamp photos of it so we wouldn’t complain, and then cleaned it, and put it in a plastic bag with no notes about the damage, and tried to charge us $ 23 for it.
Every drycleaner I’ve ever been to has mentioned damage or marked it to discuss with me upon drop off, or at least pick up. Hey this button was loose, so we fixed it for $ 2. Or a note saying the hem was damaged and a quote for fixing it. No drycleaner would clean a shredded sweater without saying something first, especially after deciding it was bad enough to take photos of. Strange those photos took a week to turn up. Photos weren’t mentioned at all until we asked for the replacement cost of the sweater. We never saw photos. Strange he would try to slip it by without even a note about the damage.
We won’t be returning. Finally.

Favorite dry cleaners I’ve ever used. Anywhere. Period.
As a frequent customer they have gone out of their way to make me happy on a weekly basis if necessary. I can drop off something and have it ready the next day, again, if necessary. They are always ahead of their projected date of returns, &
I also love how they alert you via email when your laundry/​cleaning is finished. Genius idea!
Staff are all great people, up to and including the owner. They have some of the best customer service I’ve encountered too.
Can’t recommend them highly enough!

I’ve used National Dry Cleaners for 2 years now, I rely on them for getting my clothes clean and pressed, without all the harsh chemicals. It might cost a few extra dollars, but to know I’m not sweating with the toxins on my clothes, is worth it.
Always on time, they offer discounts/​coupons, and the staff are always pleasant. The owner is very pleasant.
Highly recommend for your nicer duds and for your regular laundered shirts.

I think this place is probably super good for bridal dress cleaning. We saw a ton of dresses hanging that were recently cleaned. I don’t think this place is good for dry cleaning male dress shirts or sweaters. I looked around for a good cleaner in the Ballard area and found a deal on Unilocal,which was $ 14 for $ 35. The cost of laundering and pressing a shirt cost about $ 3.75 per shirt whereas down the street, about a mile away (Bön Ton), they were charging $ 1.75 a shirt. What the heck, it is about two times the price of other places. Anyways, we decided to dry cleaning three sweatshirts instead because the Unilocal offer doesn’t include laundering clothes. With the Unilocal deal for dry cleaning, it normalizes the prices back to normal. The lady there who took our order was very nice. She was patient in trying to help us with the best way to use our Unilocal deal.

I took a new dress I’d only worn once to my regular dry cleaners to get out what appeared to be an oily food stain smack-​dab in the front of the dress, and they couldn’t get it out, didn’t mention that they couldn’t (but I checked before leaving), and they still charged me full-​price for not doing their job. Really?
So I took the dress with me to the big city and brought it to National, based on Unilocal reviews. National got the spot out, and said if they didn’t, they’d try again at no charge.
Admittedly, I was shocked at the $ 26 bill, but they mentioned that they are a green dry cleaner, so I felt better about it. And hey, now I can wear the dress again for $ 26, rather than replace it for a lot more. Now I just need a bib when I eat.

HUGE decline in quality over the last few months!
I had been bringing my shirts here to be laundered for the better part of a year, and I’d say the work was very good. Unfortunately, the last few times I brought in shirts, they were over-​pressed and the collars where shiny. Basically, the shirts were ruined, or at least had their usable life drastically shortened.
Not going back.
Oh well, back to laundering and pressing my own shirts. (Why are the so-​called good cleaners here so poor compared to even the mediocre ones in NYC?)

Brought in my wedding dress here for cleaning and preservation. Spent about $ 400 and was very happy with the results. I had a pretty large dress that I dragged around the rainy streets of seattle even after the reception (party didn’t stop when they kicked us out!) They made it look new again. It was more expensive than I was hoping for, considering I paid $ 1100 for the dress and $ 300 for alterations, the preservation turned out to almost ¼ of the cost of the dress itself, but to me it was worth it. I’m hoping to save it for a daughter or my own renew the vows ceremony someday!

I received a flyer for National Drycleaners at the Seattle Wedding Show. After my outdoor photo shoot, wedding, and reception the bottom few inches of my wedding dress were absolutely filthy, so I called National Drycleaners. I spoke to Mike Erstad, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me some basic information over the phone and then set up an appointment for me to come in with my dress so he could give me a quote for cleaning and preservation.
National Drycleaners is conveniently located near my home in Ballard. I went in and met with Mike and felt very confident in his ability to take care of my dress. The total cost ended up being $ 296.84 which might seem high, but it included for hand cleaning and anti-​sugar stain treatment (to detect and remove invisible sugar stains, because some stains, like champagne and cider, are invisible, but can turn yellow over time), and preservation for storage in an acid free preservation box with an oval window made of polypropylene (an inert plastic that will not yellow or damage the gown). My veil was also cleaned and placed in the box for no additional fee.
The entire process took just about two weeks and I was contacted as soon as my dress was done so I could pick it up right away. It was cleaned beautifully and you would never know that it was dragging on the ground all day long.
National Drycleaners was extremely professional and friendly, and their service was exceptional and I feel reasonably priced for what I got.

I give stars on value, quality and service. Quality and service get them 4.5 stars, put value is 2. Have used them off and on for awhile and recently took in some dress paints. Double digits per pair? Whoa.
I would use them regularly if the price was even close to an equal competitor I also use in Seattle.

I needed to wear my suit for an interview the following day and I panicked, realizing that it really was in dire need of dry cleaning. I hopped onto Unilocal in hopes of finding a place that could do it quickly.
National saved the day! I ran in at the end of the day and they told me they’d have it ready for me within 24 hours. I even got 10% off as a new customer.
When I came to pick it up, it was ready to go and the price was reasonable.
I’ll definitely be back here next time I need something dry cleaned!
