The park is almost exactly a mile(nearly all uphill) from my place, which makes it a nice«let’s walk the dog to the park and back after work» destination. There’s two sections — the lower section is a playground area that any kid would be excited about(so many things to climb on and slide down!) and the upper area is an open grassy space that I’ve seen people picnicking at, some teenagers practicing softball and once even saw a lady who had set up a little course for her dog to practice agility training. The last one was fun to watch, but her dog wasn’t really well behaved enough to be off leash in a public area since he kept trying to approach other people’s dogs that ARE leashed — like you should have your dog in public! On clear days, the view of Seattle is stunning(highest point in Seattle, woo!) and if you walk about a block west of here(the way that I walk back home), you also get some AMAZING views of the water.

Great park for us living in the neighborhood! If you didn’t already know, the water towers is the highest point in Seattle so you get some great views of both the water and the downtown Sky Light. There’s also a really cool area on top of the hill where they mark the other high points in Seattle(Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, etc.). This park has two main areas: a very new, modern children’s play area as well as a large grassy field up top. In the afternoon you’ll see a lot of kids playing around here and seems like they’re having a blast. Not quite dog friendly, no poop bags anywhere near.

The newest park and playground in West Seattle, located at the highest point in the city of Seattle. Really cool, albeit small playscape, shade, picnic tables, a lovely vista at the top of the hill w/markers of other high spots in the city, and a huge grassy field for the kids to run on, or fly kites, etc. Really our favorite new place to hang out and play. I would give this park 5 stars except for one thing… NOBATHROOMS. Come on Seattle, a port-a-potty would be better than nothing. We’re here w/our preschoolers and toddlers after all. Otherwise, this park is aces. Also, it has great, and I do mean GREAT, views of downtown Seattle to the northeast.
