My kids and I have been coming here for haircuts for about a year now. The ladies are always so nice and patient. Earlier today I decided get my hair colored purple. I’m so glad My Anh was available and had the time to do the color. She was able to do the color exactly like the picture I showed her. I was so happy with the way it turned out and will returning for color touch ups!

I was very impressed with the service I received here. The haircut was very affordable and I was in and out quickly. Will be returning here again!

Been a customer for 10 years for man’s haircut. Always perfect. Love the scalp massage and shampoo. Prices super modest. Always leave healthy tip. Two sisters plus sister-in-law, extremely friendly, delightful, and hard-working. My Anh, the principal owner, has had plenty of challenges and approaches everything with optimism. They will be moving south soon, down Rainier near the Safeway. I would follow her and the sisters anywhere, and you should too!

Received a haircut here twice now, and will probably be going here for the next 10 future haircuts! The stylists listen to what YOU want and don’t just go on doing your hair the way THEY want it, like most salons do. They also ask you if you’d like your hair styled instead of them just curling/straightening/etc just because they feel like it. Today was my second haircut here. It’s a Sunday so there were a few people & children in front of me. They were all men/boys so I didn’t have to wait too long. I told the lady what I wanted and she gave me exactly that and like I said, asked me if I wanted her to style it. I politely declined. I got the haircut done in no more than 20 minutes! I paid $ 20 w/tip. They also seem to be the best Asian ladies I’ve seen to cut men’s hair! If you are a male or female, try this place out for sure, you will receive a quality cut for a great price.

I showed them a picture of a girl who has red and purple hair, telling them I wanted to look exactly like this. And yes it did look like the picture. Totally in love with the result! There are only 3 people work there but they are extremely friendly and quickly understand what you’d like. Recommended!

really wanted to love this place but my experience was unfortunately not a good one. My hair turned out nothing like the photo i showed the owner(she is the one who worked on my hair). i think she was understaffed the day i came in and skimped on what she said she would do. i’ve never made a big deal out of my hair(it always grows back), but she charged me full price for something that looked nothing like what i asked for and it was surprisingly pricey. As a business-owner, i understand that unhappy customers are not the ideal people you want to deal with, but even if it is 99% the customer’s fault, a good business-owner should still take responsibility for their work. The owner refused to take any responsibility, but she sure was willing to take my money. unfortunately, i would not recommend this place to others.

I usually go to a salon and spa for my haircut which costs $ 80+, but I wanted to save money on a simple medium hair cut and found this place on Unilocal. It is in a residential area, so there’s plenty of free 2 hour street parking. I waited about 2 minutes on a Sunday afternoon, no appointment necessary. I had 3 inches cut using thinning shears and my haircut came out exactly how I wanted. They do not shampoo your hair or style it afterwards, but for a quick haircut, this place is great. I paid $ 18, women’s haircut is currently advertised as $ 16+. I can’t speak to all haircuts since I chose one that is difficult to mess up, but I’m satisfied and will probably return if I need a trim without style.

Prices went up :(used to be $ 16 for cut and style, then it went up to $ 18 and now $ 24. Service is still pretty good, they still cut/style per my request. But prices are getting a little stiff.

I’ve been going to My Anh for over a year now, and it’s the first salon I have ever been loyal to in my entire life! Seriously, it’s been hair rehab! I started going just for haircuts. Sandy did a great job every time. Then, I decided to give their color a try, because I really liked My Anh’s color(My Anh is the owner). Some people have bad hair days but I have a bad hair life; literally found my first gray hair in fourth grade. FINALLY twenty years later my hair has hope! Before I found this place the box was making my hair a mess, and not even a hot mess. A lifeless mess. Anyways, My Anh is an expert in gray coverage. She totally gets what I need and her prices are so reasonable that I am giving up the box for good. Cold turkey. Hey hey hey… goodbye. Also, she cut my hair using the razor. At first I thought it was too short, but I have had more compliments on this hair cut than any other, so I realized she knows what she’s doing! It has more body and bounce than ever. I also love how unpretentious this place is. If you require ambiance, this place may not be for you, but personally I just want my hair to look good without spending a fortune on it. I can just walk in without an appointment, watch the game, laugh(My is hilarious), study while my hair is getting done(I’m in grad school), and walk out feeling like I got the best deal in Seattle, every single time. My Anh is one of my favorite things about living in South East Seattle. I am honestly grateful to these three ladies for doing great work at an incredible value in a very laid back atmosphere. One in a million!

I told the lady cutting my hair I wanted to keep my length and how I wanted my hair. She ignored both facts and too a razor to my hair. A razor is very damaging and can dry out your ends. She also complained that I had too much hair.

Ever since I’ve decided to have short hair, it has been a struggle finding someone that knows how to cut Asian hair. I’ve gone to a new hair stylist every four months. Last summer, I came across My Anh on Unilocal and I wish I could take this place with me to Colorado. I’m only back in Seattle once a year and I will be coming back here each and every time! They get to know you and are extremely personable. While I may not come often, it was clear both times that they have a very loyal clientele that loves them. I’ve had my hair cut by two different people and the styles have been quite different. Both have turned out extremely well and they really listen to what you want! Or if you give them free reign, they also pick something that matches your face quite well. On top of that, they are extremely affordable in comparison to most other places, providing ten times better results! If you haven’t been here, what are you waiting for?!

My daughter had her first haircut here and it couldn’t have gone better! My Anh was very sweet and quick with the lollipops! She let my baby sit on daddy’s lap(he had a cut and beard trim) and it was over in a flash. And the cut is SOCUTE. And they are SOCHEAP. We’ll be back for her subsequent cuts(and I may try them myself!)

Sandy is awesome! Like others have said, she knows Asian male porcupine-like hair well and the head massage with mint rivals the ones hairdressers do in Asia. So glad I discovered her today! I would have saved so much money and trouble if I only I had found her earlier…

I’m writing this on behalf of my fiancé, who is… Unilocal challenged. I’m also writing this on my own behalf, as I probably appreciate his haircuts more than he does. Best. Haircut. Ever. He’s tried all of the trendy barbershops and hipster salons around town and they all mangled his hair in one way or another. Too short, too long, not layered enough, layered too much, etc… My Anh did none of those things. Not one. Price: beyond reasonable. Listening to what he wanted: yes! Atmosphere: clean, cheerful, friendly. He brought in a photo of what he wanted… and he left with precisely that haircut. My Anh’s comment when she was done: «Your fiancée will think your hair looks sexy!» And you know, she was 100% right. Rowr. Thank you My Anh! p. s. He’s as white as a white boy gets. So not only can My Anh style Asian hair, but Scandinavian/mutt hair too. :)

YA! Someone who knows how to cut an Asian girl’s hair =) And their prices are very reasonable($ 16). The hairstylist gave me some great tips about what kind of cut would be best for me since I always strut the straight cuts, a change was indeed in order. She did a great job layering my hair and was very detail-oriented. No appointment necessary. Walk-in wait time was about 10 minutes.

Great haircuts. I have my haircut here all the time and they do a nice job. They also cut my 2 year old son’s hair and there they really shine. Great with kids, always a lollypop and toys to play with and about a third of the cost of the«kids» hair salon up the street. Can’t go wrong here!

My 6 year old son comes here every few weeks for his haircut. After a few years of paying $ 25 to $ 30 at other kid’s salons for average haircuts, we decided to try this place based on a friend’s recommendation. They are so convenient, and we never need an appointment, just walk right in and almost never have to wait more than 10 minutes on a weekend morning. The prices are very reasonable($ 8 + tip), and they have the same bucket of kids toys and TV to keep him entertained. Both sisters do a fine job and they know exactly how to cut his hair. He even gets a lollipop at the end!

Found this salon on Unilocal and wanted to give a try since I have that unruly st8 asian pokey hair. Sandy was very friendly and talkative, I wanted something very Japanese trendy, but ended getting a cool haircut that was right for my face structure and age. For $ 10 a haircut… this was a good deal! The décor could use some updating ie. — get rid of all the fake flowers and decorations… too distracting and I couldn’t even see half myself in the mirror… but establishment was clean and tidy.
