Musical House On Harvard B&B

I don’t typically write Unilocal reviews, but I thought the Musical House is worth it. My husband and I stayed here for our wedding weekend. We both flew in from Illinois to get married in my hometown of Seattle. We wanted a nice, quiet, cozy place where we could relax and feel taken care of. This place was fantastic for just that.
The owners, Barbara and Albert are incredible. Very sweet, accommodating and great cooks. They were able to accommodate my gluten and soy allergy and they prepared a beautiful breakfast for us. My husbands family flew in from Illinois and my family, who lives in Seattle had never met my soon to be in-​laws. I really wanted to do brunch in an intimate setting so that our families could get some quality time and Barbara and Albert were able to do this for us. Our families met us at the B&B where homemade breads and baked dishes with fresh berries were prepared. The food was incredible and you could tell love and care and joy was put into the food.
We had a mini fridge in our room, which was nice; we were able to bring some wedding cake back to the B&B
I was a little hesitant about the B&B being near the freeway, but once in the B&B, you couldn’t even tell we were near the freeway. It was quiet and it is actually located in a beautiful area of Seattle.
The historic home is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully decorated; no hideous grandma or over upholstered furniture and ugly drapes. I am a design nerd and this place accentuates the clean lines of the architecture. I would definitely stay here again for a nice get away and I live in Seattle now.

We had a great time on our recent visit to Seattle, and our stay at this B&B was an important part of that. Everything about the experience was nice — the bed and room were clean and comfy, the bathroom was clean, and most importantly the hosts, Albert and Barbara made us feel right at home.
When I first arrived, I thought it was a little too far from downtown. But after settling in and figuring out the bus routes, we realized that we were only a 10 minute ride from anywhere and the buses are frequent and easy to use. (It would also be super easy by car or bike). And it’s nice to come home to a lovely place in a residential neighborhood, and be able to chat with people who know the town.
Of course with a B&B comes breakfast, and Albert made us an excellent breakfast every day — tasty and filling to the point where we could’ve skipped lunch if we wanted to.
While we were staying there, we were the only guests, but if there had been others then breakfast together would have been part of the experience. In general B&Bs are not for the antisocial!
Our hosts were beyond helpful in advising us about our onward trip to the Peninsula, giving good advice and even lending us their road map. Our original plan was to come back to Seattle at the end of our trip and stay in a different neighborhood, but our experience was so pleasant that we ended up coming back to this B&B instead.
