The coffee here is quite good. But I think I will have to stick with Starbucks because I have no need to have my coffee served with fake suntans cleavage and skimpy tank tops in the middle of rainy winters in Seattle. While some people may perhaps tip better for this, I think in a professional setting such as the Columbia Center this is unprofessional and sexist.

I ADORE this coffee place. The baristas are friendly and fun to chat with, the coffee is great and my favorite part is they really know their customers. I’ve been in a long line in the morning and the employees almost never have to ask what people want cause they already know. It’s a well-oiled machine. What a great business.

I just started working downtown. I was looking for a local espresso stand other than Starbucks– was told about Monorail Espresso in the Columbia Tower– decided to check it out:) I ordered the lavender/white chocolate mocha. I think they left out the lavender/white chocolate — because the girls were talking with each other and not paying attention. Wanted to give you another try:) there was a large group, I was standing towards the side– a guy went right up to the counter and was standing there– I asked the group of they had ordered and she said yes, I went up to the right of the guy at the counter– the girl was talking to the guy– said nothing to me. A couple walked up to the left of the counter, the other girl started talking to them — meanwhile the other girl had taken the guys order and then I heard the other girl take the other two peoples order– I said hi, does the line start over there? She said no it’s just wherever, I explained what happened and she said she thought I was a part of the group(even though the group had their coffee and was leaving) I said ok and said I would be back because I only had a certain amount of time. I decided ok, 3rd time is a charm because I really do not want to go to Starbucks– go there today — a girl and guy were off to the side playing on phones — it seemed as if we were«interrupting«them on their phones– she threw the drinks together very quickly, we paid, she said thanks and went over to the side of the register with the guy looking at the phone. :(I have been in the customer service industry for over 20 years. I am disappointed and will not be back.

I start every workday morning with an Americano from Monorail Espresso in Columbia Tower! I just love their coffee! And the service is fantastic! I look forward to seeing the smiling faces of Shasta, Gemma and Anna every morning. Thank you for opening a location here.

Monorail in the Columbia Tower is by far my favorite coffee shop in Seattle. I will go out of my way to grab a coffee from this location. The friendly baristas always provide outstanding service and the coffee is superb.

Long time Monorail fan and glad to see them in the Business District. I wanted to try something new and the Black Cherry Almond Iced Latte was slamming! As always, friendly Baristas who actually know how to pour a shot of espresso, which is a nice addition to the button pushers at the other well known coffee spots around here.

Major coffee upgrade for the Columbia Center with this gorgeous new location of Monorail Espresso. The baristas are experienced and friendly and make some of the best espresso in Seattle, hands down. Awesome to finally have real tasty coffee in this part of downtown!

I’m sticking to Starbucks FOREVER in the Columbia Tower. The drinks are good but the customer service is not good. I left my purse in the lounge area as I was enjoying my coffee drink(which I must say was very good). BUT then when I returned to see if they had found my purse they were rude and not helpful. I checked again with them later if they found it. Again not helpful. Long story short when it was finally turned in to security at the Columbia Tower 3 days later(yes than you for finally turning in after all credit cards cancelled, bus card and new keys locked car towed, etc). When I called the manager to find out when the found it because I kept checking in with them all day Friday she completely blew me off. NOT ever going there again not even if you paid me! Starbucks in Columbia tower forever. I will choose customer service any day of the week. Paula B.

New Monorail Espresso shop inside Columbia Center lobby off of 5th Ave. This is run by the same owner of the historic Monorail Espresso at 510 Pike St. Great location, great owner, great baristas, great cookies(order a chubbie!), and a great espresso.
