Cold rice that was clearly in the container before I got there because it had bonded to the bottom. Seriously over cooked chicken. Gyoza was good.

This is my go to place for Teriyaki on the hill. There is two places on 15th do yourself a favor and choose this one. Way better!

Ordered chicken katsu the other day and enjoyed the food but I’m taking two stars off because of these reasons: 1. The place smells like oil way too much. Yes, it’s the restaurant and I’m sure substantial amount of oil is used every day but the place needs a better vent system. You don’t want to smell like oil after dining. 2. Way too much rice. Tiny amount of salad and okay amount of chicken but way too much rice. It would be great if Moli’s can add a side dish to its bento menu. That’s all.

Good quality chicken, food cooked to order, compost instead of a trash can… this place is perfect. This is a step up from the usual teriyaki place. Definitely recommended.

There are two Teriyaki places on 15th ave by Group Health this is the one that I go to non stop. The food there is awesome, especially their salad dressing. Unlike other teriyaki places you always end up with mounds of rice and little meat, not here they always have a decent amount of meat for their dishes. If you stop in on a rainy day try their beef Udon it is delicious.

Solid neighborhood teriyaki place. We have grabbed to go a few nights and have really liked our chicken breast teriyaki. We’ve also gotten pot stickers which were good as well. The store is clean and the food is made to order. This will mean waiting for a bit while the owner cooks, but also means you’re not getting reheated leftovers. Win! The price is good, the teriyaki is just fine making it a great drop in when you’re in this area.

Very good price and a quality meal next to GroupHealth. I stopped by Moli late at night and ordered Shrimp Katsu with Chicken Teriyaki Combo Bento set. The cost came to just ~$ 8. They also have different combos of basic teriyaki/bento stuff like Gyoza, Yakisoba, beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, etc. What I like about this place was that they actually cooked my food fresh as soon as I ordered. I knew because I actually had to wait about 10 min before I got my food(which I’m not complaining at all!). Maybe this is because I stopped by late at night so they didn’t have any more leftover(typically at these types of bento places I sort of expect the food to be pre-cooked/made). My food was hot(not at a room temperature), so I liked it a lot. The vegetables that made up the salad was fresh and satisfying. I also noticed their rice was not the typical Japanese, stickier round rice but rather the oval one(more of a southeast Asian type of rice). This is the type of rice I enjoy eating the most as well. Moli Bento is clean and organized and not just your typical hectic, bento place(well, I never noticed how busy it is during day time anyway). I will definitely stop by here for a quick meal again.

I recently started working up on Capitol Hill. There are not a whole lot of places to eat near my work, which sucks because 1.) It’s always fun to go out to lunch &2.) Not a lot of Happy Hour choices! After several weeks of frozen Lean Cuisines(terrible, I know), I finally decided to try somewhere new. Boy, am I glad that I did! Moli Bento is a small place, but there are tables in there so you can dine in, if you’d like. I got my food to go though. I decided to order the Super Combination. You can order it with chicken or beef. I ordered it with chicken, with the sauce on the side.(I prefer the sauce on the side so I can dip the chicken, vs having it swimming around in the sauce.) The Super Combo comes with salad(dressing on the side — nice), 2 deep fried pot stickers, a spring roll, your choice of chicken or beef as mentioned before, and(as usual with Teriyaki places) way too much rice. The salad was nice & crisp. The lettuce was green, not brown.(Thank goodness!) The pot stickers were good(But, how can they NOT be if they’re deep fried? It’s pretty hard to mess up anything deep fried — for real.) The spring roll was equally good. But, the best part was the chicken. For not having any sauce on it, it was SO delicious. It was so flavorful & I almost enjoyed it more without dipping it in the sauce. The sauce was pretty good, and of course tasted better with some siracha — on the side. If you’re ever up on the Hill near Moli Bento, walking by & contemplating if you should try it, I say do it! You won’t be disappointed!

Moli Bento is amazing. They give way more food than I can finish and they also don’t skimp on their miso soup. The miso soup is a really good deal — it’s a huge cup, always fresh, and even comes with wakame(seaweed)! You never see teriyaki joints with wakame in their miso soup. 4 stars for that, Moli! :) I’m a creature of habit, and the only thing I get is the gyoza plate and I have yet to finish the entire thing in one sitting! They give 6+ pieces of gyoza! I love Moli Bento.

craving some teriyaki and rice? come and stop by. i was so hungry and chicken katsu(chicken fried with panco bread crumbs) is one of my favorite chicken dishes. They had chicken katsu here and i was reluctant to try it. but i did and i liked it! they also have a good sauce which makes the chicken even better. katsu sauce is a little sweet and tangy.
