Went tonight for a little bevy and some painting and what a sweet little spot! Definitely going back!

Great place for a glass of wine and to have a fun activity to do with a girlfriend for girls night out. They offer the paint and your tools included with your $ 2-​$ 15 canvas your choose to paint on. Great place! Check it out.

We did Paint Your Pet, overall it was a nice time. Here are my thoughts!
Don’t expect much instruction. You basically will be painting and figuring it out by yourself after she tells you how to grid/​draw it
It is upstairs, and like everyone else has said, it got pretty hot by the end of class
Tiny classroom! Only about 10 or so seats very close together
Expect to pay tax on your reservation when you get there, I was unaware of it. I just paid it with my drink at the bar
The bar is comfy and cute! Nice little zen place if you want to come early and hang out
The instructor gave plenty of time and didn’t rush us out, it was understood that things started wrapping up at 2 hours but several people stayed 3 hours and she just stayed and painted with us, very nice lady
You can come back anytime to finish for free.

I’ve taken a few boozy paint classes and the one at Mind Unwind was decent. They have a pretty nice set up with the painting upstairs and bar downstairs. The customer service from the bar was pretty chilly, maybe because they have to open early for the paint classes. The loft area felt a little cramped, particularly because it was hot. Luckily there was a small group for my class. I did a paint your pet class. They really need to do something about distributing the paint because there were three of us and all three of us had ruined items from the paint squirting out of the jugs. The shorts I wore that day are ruined because the person getting paint from like four feet away accidentally squirted paint onto me. The instructor was very sweet but not as hands on as other classes I have taken. The painting was fun and if you want to stay longer than the allotted class time, they are totally fine with that. They have lots of different options for painting classes. They even have a Bob Ross class. I might go back to try that!

Really fun experience! I would recommend taking a friend (or 3) to keep a conversation going while you paint! There is a bar downstairs to «help you enjoy» the process, even if you’re not a great artist. There’s also a coffee shop next door if you need a pick-​me-​up. My only complaint is our instructor played more of a supervisor than guide in the painting process, but I still had fun!

Disclaimer, I’m a huge fan of social art classes/​experiences that don’t require a lot of commitment. Glassblowing, pottery, painting, I’m in. So I signed up for Paint your Pet, not sure if I was going to really have fun or simply embrace my inner dog lady self. The space is a loft above a bar. The bartender and instructor were super friendly. The popcorn is yum and I was especially excited that a bar was attached as I was doing this on a Friday night and a beverage was in order.
Tips — it can get hot in the loft– dress accordingly. If you want to do something funky, talk to the instructor and go for it! Make sure to bring a printed 4 by 6 of your pet. Some people tried to do it off their phones and it caused them issues.

A friend and I took the Paint Your Pet class here. So many different styles and levels in the class and Cherylin was there for everybody, not too hands on, not too hands off. Every painting was unique and spirited.
Everything about this place feels homey and friendly, including the bar and you can drink your beverage out of a mason jar if you like.
It was just right for us.

Life lesson of the day: Drinking and painting go hand-​in-​hand! My friends and I wanted to do a fun activity together, and through the magic of timing, a deal on Groupon appeared for a (2) hour Paint Me Up class. For $ 19 /​person, the Groupon included materials, a glass of wine, and an enthusiastic instructor.
The online reservation process was a little confusing (in terms of finding how to make a reservation), and I didn’t find the website to be as user friendly as it could have been.
Mind Unwind is a very small, charming, and brightly lit studio in West Seattle that holds various classes for those who are creatively inclined. Since they don’t have a private parking lot, street parking was the only way to go.
There are two main floor levels within the studio, with the top floor as their bar area (serving wine) and the main floor as their classroom. If you run out of wine, never fear! You could indulge by spending an extra $ 6-​$ 8 for another glass of wine.
The classroom had a fairly intimate setting, and there were about 10 – 12 seats and easels close together at various tables. Though everyone’s painting was essentially the same, it was nice to see what creative freedom each person took from the art instruction.
Our instructor was warm, friendly, and encouraging. I knew my painting looked like crap (trust me, I’m no artist), but I appreciated her finding the unique beauty in everyone’s attempt.
Could my friends and I have done this at home by ourselves? Probably. However, if you’re not looking for the stress of organizing an event and you want a fun day out, Mind Unwind is a good option. Overall, I had a great time relaxing and boozing it up with friends.

I haven’t taken a class here, but I’ve gone to the bar downstairs and gotten canvas a couple times and just hung out with some wine and painted with a friend. I loved it. It is my favorite place to go hang out and get a little messy with some paint :)

I had previously been here for a painting class and had a good time. Glass of wine, paint, the instructor walks you through step by step.
With that in mind, I suggested the place to a friend as a place to have a private event. She made a reservation for 8, and we had the place to ourselves. They also let her choose the painting, which was pretty sweet.
Unfortunately, the instruction was sub-​par. The instructor imitated (did not actually paint) ALL the steps upfront, and then told us to go for it. No further instruction. No actual painting on her part. She walked around and gave tips, but it was difficult to paint from beginning to finish without steps along the way. We all walked away with some pretty ridiculous paintings.

This place is like a playland for creativity! I’ve taken the acrylic workshop and beginning sculpting class and am signed up for water color next month! I LOVE the teachers and the atmosphere and the vibe! They have some really cool art for sale as well! The happy hour painting is a great idea and I’m hoping to check that out soon!

This is a place is a disappointment. Their website is dysfunctional and calling them is a hit and miss, which I suppose should have been my first clue to stay away. Being hopeful I securing a reservation on their website, the website itself redirects you to the day when the reservation was originally placed and not for the day you actually want. Even after inquiring about the mix it, it’s still mixed and they are closed on a day that was supposed to be fun day for my daughter and her birthday. Just simply a disorganized business and not worth the money especially when there are others that do the same thing that seem more together than this place.
It can’t be that hard to publish a correct Google calendar… To think with all the Groupon ads this place puts out one would have thought they would have loved a full paying customer that has no Groupons…

Paint, canvases and booze? Genius!
A handful of girlfriends and I went here for a private painting party last week. My friend, Lauren, picked the theme, and we were guided through a demonstration of how to use the paint supplies and form the picture we had in mind. Blythe and a staffer named Lauren were our instructors. The instruction was brief, as to let our creative juices flow.
We all met upstairs in the bar first, so that helped with creativity, too.

I have attended several of the Paint Me Up classes and they are always fun, prefect for a totally beginner or someone with experience, fun people, cool experience, the staff is very friendly and helpful and you leave the place with a unique painting that you created. I am looking forward to attending another class.

This place is so wonderful! I just got back from a class I bought from LivingSocial for Watercolor. It was a blast. The bar upstairs makes it extra fun. The staff is really, really laid back. The space is wonderful and the class so soooo enjoyable. I want to come back and schedule a private class with a bunch of friends. I completely recommend stopping in for a drink, to check the art out, or to paint! It’s very comfortable and community like.

This place is great! I bought a groupon for the 2 hour Paint & Sip, and was planning on going alone. They created an extra class to accommodate the popular Sunday date I was confirmed for, and asked if I would prefer the alternate time. Since I was by myself, I emailed back saying I was flexible. Krystal offered to honor the groupon price if I had anyone join me, so I went with 2 friends. We had a fun time, I only wish it was a 2.5 hour class… I found myself rushing to finish my painting, but I blame my indecisiveness. However, they welcomed us to come back to the Treehouse Lounge any Tues-​Saturday evening to finish it up! They supply the painting supplies, you just bring your canvas. I like my painting, but I might go back and improve it just for fun.
Everyone had a unique, beautiful painting to show after the class. I will definitely be back! Great location, and had no problem finding street parking on a Sunday.

I found a living social for a painting class and I thought why not? I have never really painted before. My boyfriend and I went yesterday and I love this place! The instructor was so nice, friendly, and helpful! She gave a brief tutorial then let us work. We could either do the painting she showed us or anything we wanted. What I love most about the class was you could work on your own and ask for help when you wanted it. Also you got a glass of wine with the class! My boyfriend didn’t finish his painting and they told us to come back anytime to finish it. I will definitely be back I love this place!!!

I went in there today as I had heard that there was cool art in there and I was not disappointed. I also got to speak with one of the owners «Krystal» and they are doing so many cool cultural events supporting all aspects of arts such as live bands, displaying local monthly artist shows and art classes and meditation classes!!! I am stoked to keep checking in on these guys and when I live closer to them, start partaking in more of their offerings. No pretentious vibes in this place!

Okay so I’m not much of a painter. But hey I thought why not! I signed up for a live nude class and it was something I’ve never tried before. I loved it!!! I can’t wait to come back and relax and paint I think everyone should literally unwind their mind great place!

Went to the singles mixer painting class last night. Found out about it via Groupon, and hey, for $ 20, why not?
My only complaint is that the ratio was extremely off. I had joked that I was going to show up and there would only be women, and was just about spot on. There were a couple of men that showed up as the night wore on that were pleasant to chat with, but I was hoping that there would be a little more choice.
That said, it was an extremely fun night! Our group sat on the rooftop of the building, and painted the scenery around us. Instruction was offered for those that wanted it, and those of us that wanted to do our own thing did just that. Paint, canvases and burgers were provided, in addition to beer and wine.
The best part? The amazing view! Not only could we see Mt. Ranier peeking above the treetops, but we could also see Mt. Baker, the city skyline and the Olympics. Simply beautiful! I can say that I may be back for another mixer, since even though the ratio was off, I had a fantastic time chatting and enjoying the view.
