Michael Bride

I used Michael for my wedding on Aug 7^th and LOVED him and LOVED his work! He’s wonderful to work with and it was easy to trust he’d make everything perfect, which he did. I’m really glad I spent the money to hire him. He rocks! –Caitlin

i am shocked at the poor review that someone has posted about Michael up here on Unilocal.i am a massive dork for all things skin care and makeup related (hello​.my name is sarah and i made the i love kevyn aucoin fan book page on facebook. yeah)
when my friend got married, i remembered just how luminous her skin and makeup looked. she got married two years ago. but i still remember. and i’ve been to lots of weddings. but her look? bar none sticks out. That alone should say a speak volumes about her makeup artist.
lucky for me, i was there when she went to find michael due to the AMAZING word of mouth and fantastic raves and the «street cred’ he had built up for himself in the seattle area.
well, right now, although i got married in korea winter 2010, the hubs and i are throwing the usa edition for all the friends who couldn’t attend. when i was thinking makeup, my mind went back to my friend with her great wedding makeup and i had to ask how michael was to work with on her actual wedding day. she only had the best things to say, telling me he made everything very stress free and easy. EXACTLy what a bride wants to hear!
with even my trusted friend giving glowing recommendations, i contacted michael and just hoped his availability/​prices would work out. Although i know his work and exposure have picked up immensely (i’ve seen his name a lot more now!) his prices are very fair and even a lot better than many other makeup artists that i contacted just when i was trying to gauge an idea of prices.
Michael has been really generous and lovely thus far to work with. For example, our trial run, even though i know with this time being full weddng season, making most fri-​sundays impossible days for trial makeup sessions, and understandably, trial runs usually being done sometime umm NOT on those days– when he found out that i was planning a very special day for my husband, and having my engagement photo shoot to coincide with the anniversary date of the day i met my man… well michael was really sweet and made the time to do my make up for me, despite the day falling on a friday.
michael’s makeup for me was really just amazing. he found me the most amazing shade of lipstick-​and gave me some great tips that i will probably now use my makeup fundamentals for the rest of my life. his work with my skin made me look flawless and beautiful. the colors he chose were spot on. he is really really gifted. he gave me a soft look, which is exactly what i was going for, and at the prompting of a friend, at the last moment had him add some fake eyelashes to my real onese. loved it.
he also listened and had me check frequently and listened to me and made sure he was giving me a look i was happy with.
he’s clearly passionate about his work and enjoys it. he also has a love for his clients. even thuogh i had three dogs that were in and around during our trial run, he was really so nice to them, even my crazy bailey who was pretending to be my bodyguard and apparently thinking michael was attacking me… michael was as horrified as i was when bailey was making chaos. instead he loved on my dogs and told me how he had adopted dogs and, basically was gracious about it.
so, not only fantastic MAKEUP artist, but just a kind hearted, funny and gracious person as well.
can i give more than 5 stars?

Michael’s makeup is very natural and beautiful looking. He has a wonderful personality that put’s every bride’s jitters at ease. You’re in good hands with him and he is always open to talking about makeup colors and looking over pictures of looks that you admire. Michael lives and breathes makeup he loves making every women look their best. I adore him and would recommend him to everyone.

Michael is Seattle’s best makeup artist! I have been to him on several occasions when you are just feeling a little not so cute and he does wonders! Especially for those under eye circles. You can visit him at the LaBou salon for a makeup session or you can book him for your special events. He did my makeup for my wedding and the women in my family. We all looked and felt gorgeous. Not to mention, he is the sweetest person in the world and puts everyone at ease! He is a must see!!!

Michael Bride is hands down THE make-​up artist in Seattle.
Not only is he an amazing talent, but he bleeds love and care in everything he does.
I never leave his chair without feeling absolutely GORGEOUS!
He never sells me anything I dont want or need, but totally educates me on what he recommends and how to do it myself.
