Excellent small mexican supermarket. Their home made chorizo is extremely great. I often go there only to get the chorizo so I can make chorizo and eggs. The Al Pastor is quite great too, and the owners are really friendly. While you’re there, pick up some of the queso fresco. You will not be disappointed. And, their salsas are extremely great also.

I found this place on Unilocal,as I was looking for some authentic Mexican food in the area. I think I found some very authentic food! But, not quite my taste. Nonetheless, great service, terrific pricing and some seating. I think you’ll enjoy stopping here for some quick tacos.

I went to this place because I was searching for some specialty food items. I read the reviews about the food, so my boyfriend and I decided to eat lunch there. If you like authentic Mexican food(i.e NOT Azteca restaurant type food), you will LOVE this place. Our food was great, the portions were large, and the owners were super nice and very personable. My boyfriend has already been back for lunch again since he doesn’t work too far away. Highly recommend stopping by this place!

This hole in the wall grocery store and tiny restaurant on Aurora is a great find. Now we know where to go when we need Mexican spices, Jarritos soda, or a carnitas party pack for our next games night or movie at home with friends night. Really enjoyed the chicharron. Crispy, not oily at all. If you’re Paleo, you will love it. Huge portion at a great price.

Delicious food, largely Hispanic clientele, and huge portions(which equals great prices.) One taco($ 4) has enough meat for 3 or 4 with extra tortillas, which most customers seem to get or ask for. The proprietor told us ‘I don’t make any money on the tacos’, and I believe it! A single sope($ 8 — $ 11, depending on meat type) covers an entire dinner plate, and come smeared with refried black beans and topped with crumbled cheese. The lamb special soup(with a ton of meat, $ 11) was really tasty. The sweet, middle aged waitress and chef told us the(outstanding) broth is made solely from the drippings of the steaming lamb.(She also walked us through the details of the menu and explained the differences between special and regular.) They also add garbanzo beans to the lamb soup, and it comes with tortillas too, which I used to make lamb tacos. Just getting the regular soup to share with someone while also getting a couple tacos or a sope would be perfect next time. We ordered way too much food, foolishly assuming normal tacqueria portions, so order about half what you usually would! Bottled sugarcane coke is the most popular drink option. You can also order champurrado for dessert($ 2) which is basically a thin hot chocolate with rice milk(think horchata), sugar, and cinnamon.

I ordered my food through Eat 24, the order was incorrect and Eat24 told me the restaurant would not refund my incorrect order. The owner of the restaurant called me personally and apologized and happily gave me a refund. I highly recommend this place, they are very customer service oriented!

If you’re looking for a authentic home cooked meal this is the place to be. There is something different every day and it’s always got home made tasty beans and rice to go with it. They make everything homemade. The kitchen is clean, the price is fair and Everyone is friendly. O sea– bueno, barato y bonito.

Wow, but this place is outstanding. I’ve traveled Mexico and the southwest and have sampled a lot of Mexican food. Mendoza’s reminds me of those little eateries you find in authentic Mexican open markets — small menu, only a bar to sit at and really great food. Go straight to the deli in the back. Ask what they have that day. They make it fresh daily and the offerings change. Pick whatever suits your fancy. You can be confident it was made with loving care. While waiting for you food, choose a drink from the case and peruse the market. And yeah, the salsa is hot. First try your plate without it, then slowly ratchet it up or you might be in for quite a surprise.

Came in for some to-go food for the family. They had an assortment of chile rellenos, chicken mole, tamales, etc. Everything was very good, especially the mole, and the prices were reasonable. I didn’t ask, but would have loved flour instead of corn tortillas. They just warm my heart. I need to come back and see!

You just made a pregnant woman very very happy. I have been craving some delicious and spicy Mexican food. Just had some delivered, only took like 15 minutes. Got the carnitas plate and a pineapple soda. I will totally be ordering like once a week. It was amazing. Even came with a roasted jalapeño pepper. Yum!!!

Delicious food, friendly proprietor, great selection of Mexican groceries. The kind of place I would stop by often if I lived here but we’re visiting from LA.

Had my first visit today and will definitely be back! This is a very small Mexican store, hole-in-the-wall, with a handful of bar stools in the back. The prepared food is behind a hot food deli counter. There is no menu. what you see is what they have. They can sell you carnitas by the pound, or make you some carnita tacos. Or maybe de barbacoa. I came for the Chile Relleno. They looked very good. Large and fluffy and come with rice and beans. I can’t resist gorditas, so had to add one as well. The gorditas are of pressed chicharrón and the chile relleno stuffed with cheese. As soon as the lady handed me my plate, I was hooked. It was served in a clay plate. This looks like Mexico! Green and red salsa are available in a couple of molcajetes. After sitting on a bar stool, I had my first bite. This tastes like Mexico too! Clearly, by its flavor, this is great cheese they use in the chile relleno. The salsas are awesome! Corn tortillas are large, fluffy and fresh. The gordita is also good. Not with tomato and crema, like I’ve found in other places, but the way I have them in Mexico. They have a sign for their carnitas package. A pound of carnitas, a pound of nopalitos, salsa and tortillas for $ 20. It’s one heck of a deal, though I think my daughter can eat a pound of carnitas by herself. I will definitely return, though it might for at least 2lbs of carnitas. Like I said, the place is small, so, if eating-in, you must be comfortable eating in a small place in the back of a Mexican store. You will most likely eat on a barstool with narrow counter placed against the wall. Be prepared for a short conversation, as there is no menu. What does it come with? How is it prepared? Can I get it with this, or that? This is easy, as the staff(owners?) are very friendly and welcoming. I’m Mexican, I can eat here every day. It would be like eating at my aunt’s; rice and beans con chile AND fresh tortillas. Staple of my life. 4 out of 5 only because of the limited menu and small eating area.

Had some tacos and tamales with the sister made to order at the deli. The owner is super friendly and the market is stocked with authentic Mexican snacks and drinks that you can have with your food or stock up for later.

Outstanding Chile Relleno. Its a small, very friendly grocery store that has a small deli with hot foods. While the corn tortillas that they make and their carnitas are very good, the shining star here is the chile relleno. They use Oaxaca cheese to stuff their fresh chiles, not the Oaxaca cheese made elsewhere, but one actually made on Oaxaca. This makes such a huge difference. It is the smoothest, tastiest melted cheese ever. Since I had it at Los Agaves in Santa Barbara, which I consider the best Mexican restaurant, I have been looking for it. So glad to have found it here. The only drawback is that its sitting in the deli case waiting for you. If it was made to order, there would be no equal.

Came in here a few weeks back and absolutely loved the service that Sonia provided my fiancé and I. Being Mexican and from Central WA, I know a good carniceria and what makes it authentic. This place has it all. From the meat to all the Mexican products this place reminded me of home. My fiancé and I were buying meat for a carne Asada and ended up buying a few pounds of arrachera which is thinly cut from skirt steak, also called a fajita cut. This cut is ideal for grilling. We also bought some Diesmillo, which is also thinly cut only this is from the chuck steak, a little tougher but perfect for grilling as well. All in all I can’t wait to go back and get more meat. I also want to head back and try some of their hot foods.
